And there went any sliver of a chance that they'll ever put effort into the series again. For reference, Sun and Moon have sold 16 million as of Sep 2019. Yeah SWSH is kind of "cheating" with the 50% price jump but still. Sigh...

With the post launch support it’s going to be the best selling Pokémon game in a long time. Fuck Pokémon home. That’s as blatant of a scam as the come.

Having finally played the game, it’s ok. The cracks really only show once you beaten the main story and want to do anything else. Probably why the games have so many adamant defenders. Maybe the DLC with its new director will actually be worth the money.

Astral chain sold a million copies, so at least the news isn’t all bad.

Just wondering, but do you have to buy home right off the bat and then buy premium or is the premium the only thing that's paid?
You buy the premium, there’s a free version, but you can’t transfer anything with it

Hey at least you will have Pikachu, Eevee and Charizard in every game going forward!

I wish people would just stop sperging about Dexit.

In 2002, Ru/Sa left out so many iconic Pokemon. Dont tell me "They were still in the programming" because that doesn't change my point.
They changed so much when making the third gen, that 1st and 2nd gen were incompatible. The first two gens didn't have natures, EVs and IVs worked differently in the previous gens. Game Freak had an excuse back then.

Ru/Sa were also fucking trash. "Lets make an entire region of the 2 worst things in the series..Caves and Water Routes"

I'm srsly not trying to hijack discussion!

lord knows I hate when people try to self advertise, so hiding this in a spoiler to not disrupt thread flow. But this is mainly because someone specifically asked earlier:

In the process of setting up an etsy page, but if you want one now (all orders are at the mercy of my printer's speed) send me a DM and we can discuss it. I'll send you a link to a site where you can either look for a premade model or I can make one... because I'm trying to *print em all* for my nephews. Discounts for Kiwis, ofc

This was initially brought up in the Temtems thread but I figured I'd put it here to not derail, but anyway.

Am I the only one who's never had trouble with Brock using Charmander? As long as you're a decent enough level just spam Ember. Geodude and Onix's Sp. Def (or just Special in gen I) are so abysmally low that even a resisted Sp. Attack hits them hard. In fact it's so easy that a super effective Metal Claw in FR/LG does less than Ember on Onix.

I was doing a Nuzlocke run of Fr/Lg at some point and I didn't want to put my starter at risk so I let my rattata (which evolved before the gym) to take care it. Needless to say, it was easier than expected.

Wait, so you grinded a Rattata to Level 20 before Brock? Isn't that a tad overkill?

Two points of interest here. First is the official reveal of G-Max Toxtricity. All that's left is Melmetal's G-Max (will probably be some kind of Home promotional thing).

Secondly, there's this.
I've been predicting this for a while. SWSH may have sold well, but the damage it did to the brand is undeniable. And while Nintendo may not have total sway over the brand, they still have enough of a stake and power to make some kind of move like this in a bid for better quality control. That's the hope anyway.

EDIT: fucked up the video embed

I doubt GF moving into the same building as Nintendo is going to change anything honestly. It won't change the shit with the Dex, Home and DLC. It's gonna take a lot to fix shit and get back trust from fans, but since there's a lot of shills endlessly bootlicking they won't bother. Could be just my cynicism talking though.

It could just be that they're upsizing their offices to add in a proper HD team and wanting to move into a larger space. It could be that they're going to be leaning on Nintendo to cover their weaknesses, and moving into closer proximity helps their communication. It could be that they want to be able to get Nintendo closer at hand to push quality over quantity against TPC.

Or it could just be that they contacted close business partners for their opinion on the office space and got a glowing review. Who knows?

It either won't have an effect, or will have a positive one. It might cause some delays, but if it's true, I predict a net positive or a net whatever.

Never thought of how annoying the removal of the Vs Recorder would be until lately. Used to enjoy watching fast paced competitive battle replay videos with narration, but thanks to one of SWSH's many cut features I can't even have that anymore since (understandably) nobody wants to spend time trimming out all the downtime between turns. Yeah there's Showdown for the faster pace but just staring at pixel jpegs gets boring after a while.
