My personal favorite entries, concerning creepiness would have to be: Kadabra's Fire Red entry;

It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra. (FireRed)

But the weirdest one has to go to Darumaka's White entry.

The Dorklyst: The 15 Most Disturbing Pokedex Entries

Darumaka's droppings are hot, so people used to put them in their clothes to keep themselves warm. (White)

The dex is definitely weird.

How many times do you think people accidently caught on fire because of the Hot shit?

I know a lot of people in this thread have managed to catch ‘em all over the various games, but does anyone have a white whale Pokemon they’ve wanted but never managed to obtain?

Mine’s Steelix. When people first told me about it (in the days before I had high speed Internet to verify things), I thought it was a hoax since I never played the original Johto games and very few trainers had one. I love its design, but I’ve never found anyone I can trade with to get one.

Chimecho and Feebas were my white whales at one point. I encountered multiple shinies in my copies of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald but never either of those Pokemon.

To be honest I don't remember ever running into a shiny of any pokemon.

If you cross reference all the Pokédex entries, you’ll learn that Klefki opens the gates of PokeHell

I'm glad they fiction because of the Horrble Horrble fetish art I have layed witness to, and would never want to think of what people would do if pokemon was real.
It's canon that humans and Pokémon got married once upon a time.

Some (maybe all depending on version, not sure) of the trade evolution Pokemon can be found in the Wild Area already evolved this gen. Steelix just sits around the over world waiting to be caught. It's actually one of the many parts this gen gets right.

Thats shedninja and there more fucked up stuff then just that.

How about the fact that it's its own living thing serperate from the pokemon it was split split from.

There so many possble ways to look at it, including the SOMA way.

Does it has memories from the pokemon it was once part of, if it does how much?

Could you say it's like in SOMA.
SOMA Spoilers
In SOMA when the brain is copied there now two "living" versions of that person.

One in the Orginal body, and one in the new body that Brain Copy went way.
Shedinja is extra creepy for another reason. As most of you know, you need an extra Pokeball on hand and an empty slot in your party to get a Shedinja when Nincada evolves. But here's the thing, the game never tells you that it even shows up, not even in this current gen where the dex shows you the entry every time a new mon is registered (it also did that last gen but the Nincada line wasn't in Alola).

You'll evolve your Nincada, get the Ninjask, register it to the dex and all that jazz, and then you'll look at your party and Shedinja will just, be there. No announcement, no dex registration fanfare, it just manifests into your squad out of thin air like something straight out of a creepypasta.

Yeah, I know you can catch one in the Wild Area, but part of me wants to get one through evolution the “proper” way.

People wish that Pokémon are real, these Dex entries make me glad they're just fiction.

Many Pokemons are capable to destroy cities so, yeah, it is better they're fictional

I'll show myself out...

I've compiled a full list as to why Dynamaxing is the most broken thing ever concocted by GF.

-Increases HP
-Grants Z-move level moves
-Somewhat bypasses protecting moves
-Can either boost the user's stats, lower the opponent's stats, summon terrain, weather, and other effects with the Gmax-forms
-Grants immunity to certain move-limiting elements like flinching, Encore, and others
-Removes the locking mechanics of Choice items
-Doesn't require a held item
-Any given Pokemon can use it

The only downside whatsoever is the 3 turn limit, which doesn't matter when you can either snowball something into an unstoppable force, or wipe out half the opposing team to the point where it's easy pickings with whoever's left.

But it looks cool

I know that this was brought up before in the thread, but can we talk about how so many people are getting ass hurt over a second of footage of a mouse cursor?

Like, read some of the comments - And people are acting like the end of the world here.

I have played a gorillion RPGs, but none have ever suffered the issue of using bandicam footage for the finished product.

Pebble in the pond philosophy. When there's so much to take issue with in this game already, any given pebble thrown into the pond is being laid on top of an underwater mountain's worth of them by now. Not to mention, again, the highest grossing media franchise in the goddamn world and yet the most rookie-level mistakes like this happen multiple times in one title.

The only game I can think of in recent memory that was an RPG and this fucking retarded on the halfassed gameplay level was Final Fantasy 15.

But let's think back even to a few generations. take the Atelier Series, shit never got this bad. They had one game with a weird crashing bug but they patched it quickly. But Between the PS3 and PS4 they released 12 games in total. Tales of series had Graces f, Xillia, Xillia 2, Symphonia HD remaster, Symphonia 2, Zesteria, Berseria, Hearts R, and Vesperia. Now Symphonia 2 was just bad on a gameplay level so much that it got disowned by Bandai Namco and Zesteria was kinda mixed but berseria which followed it corrected the mistakes. But none of these games were outright broken or flat out missing shit.
Hell we can even probably count Disgaea. Disgea 3,4, and D2 came out on the PS3 and PS4 had 1, 5, and 4 Complete. Disgaea 1 was felt to be a cheap cash grab but there was nothing about the games that felt as off as sword and shield.

Falcom is another example to compare, they're a much smaller company. The biggest issue they had within the last two generations was with the dub and english translation for Ys8. However the game wasn't shortchanged on anything as far as gameplay went and went on to be the biggest seller in the whole series. but everything falcom puts out is done with care, Trails of Coldsteel has higher production values than fucking Sword and Shield and it's made by a much smaller team with far less resources.

And of course lets not forget Dragon Quest which is the big swinging dick of RPGs in japan. They did the series justice with 11 and fully realized not only the Series' specific style in 3D but made the world full and vibrant, as well with a load of interesting quest chains to do and over 650 unique monsters to fight.

Pokemon being that fucking big has zero excuses to have anything fall that short. Especially since Xenoblade 2 is on the same fucking system. They're not lacking money, they're not lacking man power, Matsuda is fucking Japanese Chris Roberts.

I mean, I agree that it's a mistake, but it's still a bit much don't ya think?

C'mon, it's not like we know the inner workings of GF atm, and really, a second of footage - Hell, I actually just replayed this and I haven't seen this mouse cursor. I don't even know if it's for certain copies or not.

Some people just want to be angry at Game Freak and will take any excuse to do so.
