It's official: Cosmos is the luckiest gal alive.

I had no idea it's your mom who gives you the Poke Balls, she didn't say anything >:/. I only found out I got Poke Balls because I was trying to open up my Trainer ID to show my brother what I named my player, so then immediately I caught a female Rookidee and named her Poe Tree (so original). I chose Grookey and named him Jheri, and man, they really do hand out EXP like no one's business. Almost at level eight and all I did was catch a Pokemon. I don't even know if Grookey has pretty good defense or not, haven't checked his Nature and IVs yet.

Anyhoo, took me a good 22 minutes to catch up to where my brother left off just by breezing through the text (oops, forgot to make the text speed fast), so maybe that's the typical time it takes to get to the Pokemon Research Center over in Wedgehedge... that's the name, right? Hop legit freaks me out with those golden eyes and pupils, like God, what a creepy design. It's really not normal when you have regular pupils, but your best buddy and his brother don't. And yet, Leon doesn't creep me out like Hop. It's so weird.

Oh, I named my trainer Dill Doe, just for reference. Guess this means Kari is gonna detail her adventures of Dill Doe and Pokes.
 
There's like a bajillion dogs but you can't have two sheep in one game, come on. Am I being greedy? Sure but look at them. Who wouldn't want both?

Do we know the shiny odds for certain yet? Seems like a lot of people have been getting them just on the first day. I heard the odds were upped but I don't know by how much.

Nah, in red/blue and gold/silver you could easily be at level 7/8 by the time you get to the Viridian/prof. pokemon and back again and fight the rival. 23 minutes does seem a bit long but I could see it taking that amount of time if you get bombarded by random battles on the way. I don't know if it's quicker in the newer games.

Obviously you figured out you get pokeballs before that, but even if that wasn't the case, it doesn't sound that outlandish. Now that I think about, I think you get given some pokeballs early in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and I remember being surprised because it was unlike the originals. So, I guess that's just a thing they do now.

Not counting the Gyrados at the Lake of Rage, the ONLY shiny I've ever encountered was an Ariados that I accidentally killed on my Gold cart almost 20 years ago. Well, I've also found a couple in Go, and not just on community days either. I've found a shiny Nidoran F, a Shellder, and a Snubbull, all of which are now fully evolved.

Yeah I think it's the same as the 3DS titles. I was drowning in shinies in Sun while barely trying to chain.

Actually, there's one thing I've been wanting to ask.

Has anyone in the streams actually turned on the skip cutscene option? That's a thing I don't think was talked about in here.

So what're the sparkles on the Pokemon in the over world for, again? Those are the "special/hidden moves" variety, right? Was wondering since my brother fought a Rookidee that sparkled and it had Roost at level seven, and it was also ridiculously hard to catch to the point he just ended up KO'ing it. But then he got 140 Ws or something like that, and we have no idea what the Ws are for.

Those pokemon will have a few guaranteed perfect IVs and some Egg moves.

I remember all the faggots claiming that Dragon Quest is a Nintendo centric franchise now and because DQ is in smash, Nintendo TRUE FANS will show up in droves and outsell all other ports.

Much like the Pizza Guy I found laying in his car in a ditch OD'd out on fentinyl, they didn't deliver.

Makes me wonder what will happen if Square takes the DQS changes and releases them on PS4 and PC, are they suddenly going to give a shit again and proclaim that square betrayed them?

I figure the same fate awaits SMT5 if it ever gets released.
 
Gotta love how the shills seem to completely disregard the fact the bug seems to be an issue with the Switch's exFAT driver, and that affects everyone, hackers or not. This guy for example (Archive) is amazingly dense, does he think that there are that many hacked Switches around? Funnily enough, the main Switch hack guide recommends formatting SD Cards as FAT32 in its first page, so he's completely wrong there, too.

He does realize that the wire frames are just the outlines of the polygons right? You can apply smoothing to them but they're still polygons. The UV Maps for Textures are the same and if they're that fucking lazy they're not going to try and re-fit the already made texture maps for a slightly different model.

He's talking about lighting so the only thing they would need to probably change is transparencies. Depending on what engine you're using and how post processing may be different, you may need to switch the colors of black and white. Some programs read black as transparent other read white as transparent.

Hell, he took the thread of someone who claims to be a 3D artist for 7 years (of course someone who'd shill like that works at Ubisoft, too) at face value, someone who discredited the leaked models because they came from 4chan. Meanwhile, DJTHED, who has knowledge in the Pokémon models from previous games, and has shown experience in 3D modelling, went and compared various models of Sw/Sh and 3DS, and also described what he considers actually part of a model:

What changes did they make? Did they make it so you don't have to sit there listening to a little ditty for half a minute every time you accomplish some triviality? Because that's why I stopped playing it, they didn't do that to you in 9, or if they did they did a much better job of it.
