It was Scorbunny for me since the announcement of SWSH for two reasons. First is my preference of the Fire-type starters (with the exception of Delphox.) The second is because I've had rabbits as pets and was never impressed with the Buneary or Bunnelby lines.

Unova's gotten some love with the regional variants, haven't they? Wonder if any from the Johto or Sinnoh Dex will get the same treatment.

No, the serribi page I linked had the released galar mons.

Maybe I"m misunderstanding, but honestly, I'd like to see anything about the extended dex.

One more thing... Looking at some of the pokemon designs, anyone got the head canon that maybe Toby Fox might've had a bit more of a hand in the games other than music? I know it's probably not true, but c'mon, some of the designs are something you'd see in Deltarune or Undertale.

You can see the resemblence in a lot of the new pokemon.
I remember a interview were masuda was excited to have a real anglo in charge of the galar mon.

even then we don't know the credits yet, best wait until the release. but I take @OddEyes words, I mean who would have thought of a ghost dragon that looks like a fighter jet black hawk?
 
A lot of these new Pokemon go from "what the hell am I looking at" to pure nightmare fuel. I mean I'm kind of in the middle on the weird Pokemon designs, at least they tried something for this title (because graphically it looks pretty shit and areas look pretty barren.). It was hilarious to read people losing their shit saying that all of them were fakemon. What a delightful shit show this game has become. A lot of these designs definitely feel very Turner inspired.
 
Looks like I'll be getting a water or grass starter yet again; the only times I've picked fire for my main playthrough were Silver, LeafGreen, and SoulSilver. Still, other than the Scorbunny line, I like all of the new Pokemon we've seen so far, including the Galarian forms. Also, I fucking love the thunder doggo.

He is the Art director for sword and shield so all the designs pass through him at some point.

Thats not to say turner doesn't have good designs like Golurk, buzzwole, or mandibuzz(i think that was a /vp/ chart trying to cut out his good stuff). Honestly i think most of the new mon are pretty good. So I cant complain, at this point all thats left is to play the game.

It's been floating around that post-game will expand the dex to 632, and if that's truly the case I will get the game at some point because that basically means mostly other starters and legendaries would be excluded, and they're always all thrown into the subsequent titles of a gen by default so that could very well mean everyone would be under one roof again in a year's time or so.

But if not and the dex truly is a paltry 400 (less than KALOS ffs) I'm probably not going to even bother. To make matters worse the 632 claim was only from a random 4chan anon so it's more than likely BS.
 
Full Pokedex is leaking, its only 400mons.

The only Pokemon on that picture he actually designed was the Vanilluxe Line. It's basically a meme picture.

These are the Pokemon he designed:
-Shadow Lugia
-Vanilluxe Line
-Golurk Line
-Mandibuzz Line
-Trevenant Line
-Buzzwole
-Guzzlord
-Naganadel Line

And while he didn't design it(an unnamed female staffer did), he finalized the design of Bruxish.
