The worst offense of Silvally is its stats. All base 95. The kicker? Type: Null's base stats are ALSO all 95 except for its speed at 59. They boosted one stat and called it a day. And the excuse that "It's supposed to be an Ultra Beast killer that's why Silvally has the same stat total" is just stupid. Wouldn't it make sense that it's more powerful than them? Especially when it's classified as a legendary?

And its movepool ain't the best either, just the standard Normal coverage and elemental attacks. Not even the most powerful ones either, like it can learn Flamethrower but not Fire Blast. Doesn't even learn Earthquake.

Not to mention that it makes Eviolite Type: Null a thing, although it probably isn't feasible given it's Normal-type. That also reminds me of when they added Rhyperior in Gen IV, which made Eviolite Rhydon possible, so that it's very slightly less likely to just keel over completely over a splash of water or a leaf.

I called this ages ago. I distinctly remember them saying this exact same thing when the Switch was brand new. That would explain part of why SWSH looks so bad, it never started as a Switch game in the first place and they started it on the 3DS as a failsafe in case the Switch tanked like the Wii U did. But when the Switch took off they went "Oh shit" and hastily threw together the mess we're seeing today.

EDIT: Apparently it's an old article from 2017, but the point remains.

So what was the engine they used to make Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee on, then? They use Go models and shit, was that one a last-minute change from mobile to the Switch as well?

Let's Go was definitely intended to be on the Switch, I can tell that much. For one thing the game at least looks decent and polished compared to SWSH. That and Go's models are just X/Y's repurposed anyway. But I'm willing to bet it started development after SWSH as a quick pick-me-up to bring in Go players, but SWSH looks worse due to a clunky development cycle among other issues.

What the hell?!

If Stunfisk, STUNFISK, can learn earthquake - If Lickitun can learn it, if Dunsparce can learn it, if Komala can learn it...

WHY THE FUCK CAN'T SILVALLY!?

Like, it's pretty common for normal type pokemon to have a pretty wide move pool - there really should've been a lot more type coverage.

I just feel bad for the type:null line. Game freak did not do them any justice and I love that Chimera looking fucker.

Hello, I'm looking for this one specific Pokemon to have on my team in UM. If it's alright with you, then if you can trade me a Darkrai then that would be pleasant! My friend code is 2810-1323-9657 and my character's name is Yuri (white hair and green eyes). It's one of my favorite Pokemon and I would be really happy to have one! If you cannot, then it's fine by me. I'll even draw you a (shitty) picture on MSPaint!

Don't make entirely new threads for Pokemon trade-begging. This is the Kiwi Farms not Serebii. As such I merged your thread with the main Pokemon one.

Also, Rockruff and the Lycanrocs, Rock types, can't learn Earthquake either, while a small mongoose, the weakest Pokemon in the game (Wishiwashi with its Schooling ability deactivated) and a perpetually sleeping koala can.

And for the ultimate insult to injury, the whole line are the only Rock types period incapable of learning Sandstorm. And what is one of the Midday form's abilities? Sand Rush.

Tbf for a rock type that's fast enough on it's own, it might have been overkill to give it the ability to boost it's own speed like that.
