Totadile's solid (prefer over Mudkip who I random generated for my Nuzlocking), Cindequil is fine.


Chikorita's total shit though. I was really hoping for the second gen 7 game we'd get Alohan forms for the gen 2 starters (like 1 & 3 got Megas) that'd shift the starter triangle. Fire Totodile, Grass Cindequil, Water Chikorita's.

I still hate Gen 5. Edit: Starters, over all I like the design of gen 5.

Cyndaquil is my favorite starter, fight me.

I’ve honestly never really had a problem with any of the Gens. Sure, some Pokémon were kinda meh, but if I can like enough to have a full team plus a handful of spares just in case, I consider it a success.
 
Whether Typhlosion or Feraligatr is better for the main game depends if you're playing base Gen 2 or the Gen 4 remakes.

Not even being in Gen 4 saves Meganium from being kinda bad for a playthrough though.
 
I've gone for Water starters in every game except RSE (picked Torchic) and USUM (picked Rowlet but also picked Popplio). I don't even know which one I'm going for this time round.

Also Pikachu best starter. You can't change my mind.
 
My favorite starter would have to be Snivy/Servine/Serperior. I love my fleur de lis vine snake and how snobby it looks.

Looking back, most of my starters are unintentionally fire type. Only time I picked water was in Gen 4 and I picked Bulbasaur in Gen 1.

EDIT: Whom'st else want a knight horse Pokemon?

Waiting on evolutions before I pick a starter. They're kinda cute but none of them immediately grabbed my attention. Typically the fire starter designs I like.

I really only have one request for UK Pokemon: give us a corgi Pokemon.
 
From what I've seen, Galar looks interesting. It's certainly bigger than Alola but that's natural since it's based on Great Britain. I wonder if they'll reference the War of the Roses or the Hundred Years War. They have the two main combatant nations (England and France) so it's not like they can't.
I'd also like to see nods to Arthurian legend and based on the names, I assume that's a big focus.

Also, the rumors of armored pokemon make me hope they'll give Ledian a chance for once. Perfect pokemon for something like that, being based on Kamen Rider of all things.

Reminds me of that medieval war in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew which has sort of stuck with me as an interesting piece of lore (actual war? In non-modern times?) but that was apparently in Kanto.

Ah I remember that. It was a good nod to the wars that happened between the Daiymo in Japan's shogunate period. It added a depth that despite being a different world, humanity was still the same old humanity.
 
If it’s set in the UK do we get a rapidly increasing enemy Team Allahu that only has Pokémons that know self destruct?

(To the point that later in the game they’re EVERYWHERE)
 
Game Freak should literally just add this pokemon, the fire starter from from Pokemon Clover ( 4chan's /vp/'s Fire Red romhack)

Lizakbar (Japanese: アクバクレツ Akubakuretsu) is a dual-type Fire/Dark Pokémon. It evolves from Iguallah starting at level 36. It is the final form of Arabomb.

Going a little less into meme territory, I can see the enemy team be inspired by 70s/80s Punk movement, especially in the hair department.
As for Scorbunny I can see either going Fire/Steel as the evolution types, but more notably going for a more Footballer theme (think Inanuma Eleven)
 
Also I was thinking...a dragon Eeveelution would make the most sense because folklore and I guess Wales.
