They'd literally just be trade fodder. I already have all of them in both Moon and Ultra Moon, as well as my living Pokedex I keep in Bank. Looking at it from that perspective, more shinies from the Odd Egg and Celebi would be more valuable.

Gen I was actually pretty flexible in the order you beat gym leaders after Misty and before Giovanni. They possibly brought that in to LGPE; I don't have a Switch, so I don't personally know.
 
Let's Go Eevee has seriously had me by the balls lately. My girl and I started combo-catching for a shiny Ponyta (with shiny Raticate and Pidgey getting in the way) but we managed to nab one after almost 12 hours. I kinda wish Rapidash kept the same shiny colour scheme as Ponyta, but the darker washed out blue still looks pretty nice. Rapidash fucking murders in this game so it was worth all those mind-numbing hours of gawking at the screen. Flying along on the back of a horse on fire looks sexy as fuck, and I dig the addition of the embers trailing behind it. One of the best mounts in this game for sure.

But I now never wanna see another Ponyta in my life.

Edit - Observations so far

The "Third Counterpart" of Magmar and Electabuzz seemed to be an abominable snowman-looking Pokemon, but the clear Blackface was gonna be problematic.

Additionally, there was once a baby Zubat and an evolved Marowak, which makes it heavily resemble Kangashkahn.

Baby Vulpix and Baby Meowth were also slated for RG. And Psyduck had a Middle Evolution before Golduck, which looks so bland they might as well have trashed it.

There seems to be a copy of Magneton in the files. Could this have been some sort of alternate Magnemite evolution?

More Babies that were in the GS Proto are here, like Ponyta and Goldeen babies.

The reason why I never posted anything about it is that it can't be as easily proven to be 100% real as the G/S one, the actual story behind how it was obtained and many other things is very sketchy, especially since it was first revealed as an English romhack that was supposedly based off of the red and green beta(especially considering that the people working on translating the G/S beta are still not done due to how the coding of it is like a weird mix between Gen 1 and the final version of Gen 2 with some completely unique quirks mixed in), a lot of info from that page was scrubbed after people called them out. Not to mention, the guy that supposedly has the rom is only sharing bits of info instead of dumping the entire thing.

While there is a chance of it being real, a lot of things aren't adding up this time around.

The more I read of it, the more it seemed sketchy to me. It was pretty random how Wartortle had a random separate evolution while Blastoise had a separate Baby form. Quite an arbitrary choice

UGH I can't stand Kanto pokemon in go anymore, they're literally everywhere with no escape, four gens in. I get it's only an event but god damn focus on the other gens.

Honestly, I haven’t seen many Kantos for a while, save for during the Valentines with the pink ones. It’s been mainly 3rd and 4th gen where I am.

Generation 8 everybody!

It's not like it's out of left field, they already announced it was coming out for the switch this fall when people started lighting torches and waving pitchforks over let's go being watered down normie shit.

Ok, everyone pull your autism out, this is a gen 8 prediction thread now.
 
What I don't want (that I think has a good chance of happening):

  • Return of the gym system
  • Fire/Water/Grass starters
  • No new regional forms
What I want (that I think had a chance):
  • Mountain region (adapted from a real place, like Andes or Himalaya)
  • Final form of starters have a reversed weakness triangle so they are weak to and strong against each other
  • New version of revitalizing older Pokemon (and avoiding cluttering the Dex by adding so many new Pokemon each gen) like mega evolution, hidden abilities, and regional forms. (Alien parasites from wherever Deoxys came from, that take over Pokemon and give an Alien Evolution, kind like a better version of Shadow Pokemon)
  • Competing Teams like Ruby/Sapphire (in my idea Conspiratard UFO hunters vs MiB Alien cover upping)
  • No new types (maybe Alien is a move type but not a Pokemon type)
Things I want that aren't happening:

  • Region Sequel (like B/W 2 but fire Kanto/Johto/Sinnoh)
  • No versions, but game has story paths so you can't catch everything in one play though (to make up for charging $60 for a traditionally $30-40 game)

I dont want a fire starter with its final evolution being a fire/fighting looking ripoff. I get pyroar was fire/dark, but dear God switch it up.

Also, more eeveelution's. Specifically, I've wanted a poison type one ever since I saw some fan made ones online forever ago.
