I don't really know how most people felt about Sun and Moon, but I played the fuck out of every new gen as it came out and 7 was the one that caught my attention the least and I put the least amount of hours in. The games weren't terrible or anything but so much feels unfinished and weird to me. No national dex, very little post game, not many new Pokemon and too many of the ones that there are are legendaries, no new Megas and Alola forms are a lame replacement, etc. I feel like they really needed at least a few more months in development. Hoping Ultra S/M are better. I really want to like gen 7 so I guess they can have another 40 bucks.

I'm right now trying to get various dumb things in the Gen II VC games to send over, mostly various Pokemon with Curse or Zap Cannon, since they for the most part are the only Gen II exclusive moves of note.

Unfortunately a lot of the best Gen II exclusive moves are event moves that are unavailable to the VC versions and even if you hacked them onto your Gen II game you cannot send them to Gen VII(And if you hack them into Gen VII you could easily get flagged if you go online with them).

Lovely Kiss Nidoran/Poliwag/Bellsprout/Snorlax/Snubbull, Quick Attack Tauros, Growth Eevee, Rapid Spin Geodude, Agility Magnemite, Swords Dance Goldeen, Hydro Pump Dratini, Belly Drum Wooper, and Whirlwind Swinub are the ones that could see some use on their respective Pokemon in Gen VII if they were available in the main game.

I was up for a few hours hatching eggs, keeping on trying to get my Shiny Salandit. I know I've done 100 by now.

I've done more research and found of the existence of the Shiny Charm. Now, my goal is to complete the fuck out of my Alolan Pokedex.

I just really, really want a sensible Shiny collection. I've only gotten like 2 per game (if that) over the years.

My very original Shiny Butterfree, which gave me a big surprise as I was playing on an airplane, has long since died, due to save battery issues. The only other Shiny I got in that Crystal was a Zubat, who died even quicker because I sent it to my Gold, which died before my Crystal. Then, I had a Machop in my Ruby, but stupid me erased that file. Finally, the most recent Shiny's I've had for myself not counting events or rom hacks were a Voltorb and a Wingull by using the Radar Method in Sinnoh.

Those last two Shiny's are still alive, I think, but they are nestled in the compound binaray data of my Wii. Put them into Pokemon Ranch years ago and I guess their data is still there. I still have the save data even though I removed the button for that dumb, gimmicky Channel.

At this rate, I'm even thinking of getting rid of my Shiny Fearow from my Moon for an Articuno. I've been wanting an Articuno, and this may be the best and quickest way to get one.

Hmmm, I'll have to check for a spare Articuno, don't know if I have an extra and don't want to steal from my living pokedex.

I like shines, but i have almost 4 boxes (some were obtained through wonder trade and not legit but idgaf) as tempting as it is, if I have an extra articuno you can just have him for a weedle or whatever, as I don't value legendaries as much.

Edit: but if anyone else wants to take you up on it then go for it.

I feel ya. I dont think I ever got a shiny naturally unless it was from wonder trade or soft resting a bunch of times.

Still, Im not going to lose hope that Ill someday get one!

But I am a bit excited for the new game, hopefully we will have even more customizations as well as some new pokemon.

I'm still catching abras, but I've done enough that 3-stars are becoming more common.

Then I'm gonna dowload original silver, because 9 year old me demands it.

Are there any specific ones you want? I can help grind them out but I don't care much for making their stats viable.

Hey I have like a thousand of these cause the store I work at got way too many. The codes can be redeemed up until February. If anyone wants any just let me know.

Doubt they'd work in the PAL region unfortunately, elsewise I'd ask for one.

I started my run of silver, and the second encounter was a level 4 Pidgey that crit me 4 times in a row.

Ahh nostalgia...

Is that Super Monkey Ball I see? That was dope as shit man
Fuck yes. Monkey Ball is awesome dude. Me and my friends have been using it as a drinking game where we play the hardest course and take a shot every time you get a game over.

and Mayro Sunshine, or am I seeing things?

Does anyone have a full list on how transferring from gen 2 to S/M works? Like, will the abilities of the pokemon be random? I saw a list of the items changing somewhere too, but I don't remember where.

It will work exactly like Gen I to Gen VII. The Pokemon in Box 1 of your PC will be sent to the Transfer box in Bank. The Pokemon will always have their Hidden ability(unless they have none), will have at least three perfect IVs, and will retain their level, moves, gender, and shinyness. Nature is based off of the amount of experience they have, so it can be adjusted, but the experience past their current level will be gone after transfer, and they will have no EVs. If It is anything like the Gen V transfer all items attached will be automatically removed and sent into the Pack or PC. Alternatively since both the Pack and PC have limited item space in Gen II, it might outright refuse to transfer Pokemon with items attached, since Pokemon can't hold items while in Bank.

Does anyone have a Mareanie with its Hidden Ability (Regenerator)? I'd like to trade for one. I can offer the following:

-5 perfect IV, Jolly nature Rock Head Bagon

-5 perfect IV, Bold nature Regenerator Alomomola

-5 perfect IV, Adamant nature Wimpod

-5 perfect IV, Adamant nature Infiltrator Zubat

-4 perfect IV, Jolly nature Marvel Scale Dratini

I'm also looking for a Unova Cap Pikachu from the recent event if anyone has it

I normally don't like Leaks because they're always 99.9% wrong but since all Nintendo wants to show us is a boringly designed new Lycanroc (which in itself was already really disappointing), new but obvious Necrozma mergers, a couple cool Ultra Beasts yet one boring one, and of course, the gimmicky and time-sink Z-Moves, I couldn't help but be more curious what may be leaking.

So I found out there may be an Alolan Oddish, which I hope so. That line has always needed more love.

Serebii has leaked that Team Rocket is making an appearance in US&M but their logo seems to be altered.

Fuck every time a new trailer comes out. I don't even get to know that until hours later and by that point Verlisify and other Pokemon Youtubers have done all this junk "Analysis" which is really mostly them oohing and aahing at the gimmicks that don't even have much impact on the story itself (this includes you Z-Power) and, as always, they get to real meat, if any happened in the trailer, way at the very end of their "analysis."

But lets talk about real important things. I'm guessing Alolan Oddish may be a Grass/Psychic type. Makes sense to me the way Alolan Types have been constructed altered-type wise.

Edit: I'm a happy camper, someone gave me a Shiny Darkrai through Wonder Trade. But I know its real sketchy to have any Shiny Legendary at all, is Darkrai one of those Shiny-Locked monsters?

@TrippinKahlua Shiny Darkrai can only be obtained via the Platinum in-game event, so if It isn't from Sinnoh, or is from Sinnoh and is in a Cherish Ball, it is hacked. In fact, most Darkrai outside of the Platinum event(In fact most Mythicals and Cherish ball events in general) have ribbons on them that prevent them from being wonder-traded or put on GTS.
