I'm trying out that Magikarp swapping trick to get shiny Pokémon faster with Masuda Method to see if it works, it seems like the only difference so far is that Magikarp hatch faster.
 
So they've finally revealed some Ultra SuMo news. Specifically, a third Lycanroc form, Dusk:

It's Midday but orange. Y... yay? Seems sort of pointless to me unless it gets an extra type or sweet new move.
(oh my bad it gets the Midnight mohawk thing too I guess)

It's a tie-in to the anime currently, because Ash's dog is special or whatever.
 
I hope the new Lycanroc has different stats or moves and isn't just a reskin. According to the official announcement it won't be obtainable by "ordinary methods," so it might be a demo exclusive like Ash's Greninja or an event Pokemon.
Wonder if we'll also get a Dawn Lycanroc.

In Japan it's called Twilight form Lycanroc so I doubt there will be a second one.
 
According to Corocoro Magazine Dusk Lycanrock learns both of the other form's exclusive moves(Accelrock and Counter) and gets the extremely powerful Tough Claws as one of its abilities.
 
Is this really all they revealed for this batch of news? There's absolutely nothing interesting about this.
 
Guys, there's a shiny Tapu Koko going out on wireless for America, goes until the 14th. Get it while you can.
 
Trying to believe in the Masuda method and making me a Shiny Salandit. I like breeding up Females anyway to put into the GTS, so it felt right up my alley. I don't bother with things like counting up how many hatched so far, but I'd say I've made it to 30 and no Shiny.

My Salazzle is being mated with my Goodra, which comes from Spain. That's the Masuda method, right?

Yes, as long as one is from a different country and are able to breed it counts. I heard that it's more likely to work if they are the same Pokémon though.
 
I'll bet Z-Power is gonna get even more gimmicky and glorified in these upcoming games.

I can remember that time the Kahuna Il Ima told me after our battle how "Impressed" he was that I didn't use my Z-Power.

Bitch, I've been playing this game since 1999. I've known of the likes of Swords Dance, Screech, and those other stat-reducing moves for a long, long time. What in the FUCK am I gonna need to use something gimmicky, and time-wasting such as Z-Power?

In most cases, the Z-Move doesn't even KO the Pokemon.

This crap might actually be more mundane than "Mega" Evolution, but unlike Z-Power, "Mega" Evolution is something I frankly have no interest in EVER dabbling in.

My favourite thing in the world is when the opponent uses their Z-Moves on my Mimikyu (with its disguise still up) or a Pokemon with a Counter-based moveset. It's comedy gold watching my Pyukumuku not die from a Z-Move and then dealing double the damage back (or more).
 
Where is my Ultra Sun and Moon news? Jeez, is there even a release date announced?

Since we've heard about its upcoming existence, news has been incredibly scarce, and all the updates we've been given is a very basic redesign of Lycanroc, a few extra gimmicks worth about 3 minutes of your playing time, and that Gladion is the new president of Aether (which is cool).

Where is more news? New Alolan Forms, perhaps?
 
The boxart Pokemon have been revealed to be Alternate forms for Necrozma(Rather than Solgaleo and Lunala like many thought), named in Japanese "Necrozma, Mane of Twilight" when it absorbs Solgaleo, and "Necrozma, Wings of Dawn" when it absorbs Lunala.

Note that Twilight is also the Japanese name of the new Lycanroc form(called Dusk in English)

EDIT:

Just now 2 new Ultra Beasts were revealed, breaking the tradition of not releasing completely new Pokemon mid-gen. UB Burst, which is exclusive to Ultra Sun, and UB Assembly, which is exclusive to Ultra Moon

Was just watching the Nintendo Direct.

First, a necessary but too long demonstration on Necrozma absorbing the Legendaries. Okay, old.

Second, Rockruff fiddle-faddle and more crap about its pointless new form. And man, that Z-Move took a LOT of fucking time to do its cutscene. Sheesh, people really like this redundant crap?

And finally, FINALLY, some fucking meat. The newly revealed Pokemon are what I'm all about. Love the new looks of these things. Whatever this safe thing and this bubbly, corral, whatever thing are, but they are Ultra Beasts, which took us awhile to understand, and once it actually got down to playing the game, I fell in so much love with them, and the complete randomness of the names.

Nihilego? That was the last thing I'd come up with in regards to the classic crystal Jellyfish UB-01.
