All they did was port a rom and millions were made. We’re never getting mainline Pokemon games on Nintendo Online

Playing games on a subscription is fucking gay. I'd rather buy something and """own""" the game forever than pay a subscription for a bunch of ROMs I don't care about except maybe a dozen. It cost the same for one years subscription of NSO as it does to buy these re-releases.

Not that you need to pay for any of this. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!

Stupid they put an easy fix to the trade issue in Arceus and then reverted it for ZA
I don't want to trade with anyone, its tedious and nobody enjoys it.
I hate that the Link Cord as an in game item has existed since the first Mystery Dungeon games as a way to bypass Trades, and has never made its way into the Mainline Games.

I get why - originally so they could sell about $0.10 of wiring for $10, now so they can sell Online Subscriptions - but I hate it.

Back in the day, trading made sense. Considering there were two seperate versions of the game that had their own specific pokemon, it gave kids the incentive to actually interact with one another (which was one of the points of Pokemon in the first place) and back then before schools turned into the Orwellian mini-prison hellscape that exist today, kids absolutely brought their GameBoys to school and played with each other, specifically during lunch period.

The thing is, the Pokemon of today isn't a gigantic fad like it was when it was first birth'd to the world, so you don't really see people getting worked up over it like you did before (at least not the videogames.... the cards, however, are a completely different beast all together). No to mention whatever Pokemon you want you can just find on whatever global trading online system they have set up, unless you want one of those trade evos on your team, then you have to actually find some people online that will even give you the time of day and pray that they don't pull a dick move by not giving your pokemon back.

Pitch Black preorders selling out really fast compared to Perfect oder (shelf rotting) and Chaos rising which is basically as doodoo as PO but at least has Ninja frog as the chase.
I guess this is the power of not having 90% of the cards shown to be absolute dogshit before the preorders open because Mega Darkrai is just as ugly as Mega Zygard and I doubt either have huge fans to want that chase.
I wish PO was shelf rotting here. I actually like the set but gambling addicts will buy it out because they have no self control or willpower.

One issue I have with champions is that move distribution is way too broad, especially for how centralized the current format is. Things like weather are so critical to most gameplay, that counters are basically required, and move distribution makes it so they can appear in completely unpredictable places. I saw a clip of someone running Sunny Day Garchomp for example. It doesnt even make sense for Garchomp to learn Sunny Day, and in a best 1/1 format its borderline uncompetetive to have such drastic gamechanging plays nobody could realistically predict. This should be less of an issue as items and strategies are reintroduced like terrain, but its kindve frustrating currently.

The Pokémon company starts to pander to African-Americans.
I love being milked like the goyim I am! Thank you goytendo, very cool! Throw in some nigger worship and you've got yourself a deal!

SOLD!
Does this mean Jynx is allowed back into the Pokemon mainstream?
Bring back Mega Jynx, then! The return of Mega Evolutions this generation and the bringing of new Mega Evolutions would make this a great opportunity.

This is all they yap about at any given moment.
Bro just pick the aesthetic that suits your mood for the playthrough/game. I picked Ethan for SoulSilver because Lyra is ugly but otherwise I pick the female option because that's what I am.

I know there's also "Unova Red", which is a rom of og red and blue
So I decided to give this rom a shot and I'm genuinely surprised. Playing later gen pokemon using 1st gen mechanics is a unique kind of experience that tickles me in all the right ways. I love how all the pokemon have been given that "goofy-looking" sprite look, to the point where it doesn't make sense (Whirlipede having two eyeballs in the hole rather than one). Also because of the past mechanics, it forces you to think about how you use certain Pokemon differently from the Gen that they came from. For example, I picked Snivy, and Leech Seed + Gen1 Wrap just dominates everything that isn't Ghost, so super effective types aren't even a threat to it. Thankfully the EXP system is untouched and works like the O.G. red game. I'm also super happy that abilities are not a thing anymore, so annoying pokemon like the Gigalith line and Elektross line can be easily taken cared of. However that also means Pokemon like Archeops isn't completely crippled now, but I like Archeops, so that works. Newer moves post gen1 have been omitted so you have to wait till you're at a higher level to get something decent regarding moves, which is no problem for me, although they did add in newer moves like Crunch and Bug Bite. Dark and Steel is a thing but not Fairy (thank christ). Ghost was changed to Special, and Dark is Physical. Gust got corrected to flying type and karate chop got corrected to fighting type.

So far I've gotten to Celadon city, and regarding Snorlax, the dev decided to stick the Genies there, as "a huge storm blocks the path". Cobalion is in the house where you would normally get an Eevee... which is an randomly odd choice. The event Pokemon seem to be trade-exclusives, as you can get Meloetta and keldeo VERY early on (like Cerulean City early). It's safe to say I'm enjoying this hack a lot.

Only downside.... the cries. They reuse the gen1 cries rather than make their own 8bit versions of the gen5 cries. If they made enough effort to do that, then it would get a higher rating for sure.
