I am not sure wha that says about me. Art style aside, I actually enjoyed my time wi the game so far.
(I find Emerald Seaglass 'cheating', since I like plain Emerald.)
I wonder what hacks do you consider 'high quality', by the by.

I am going to be blunt here.
I would much rather have you buy Nintendo's digital rerelease than spend 140 dollars.
There i sticking to your principles, and you had tax refund money, bu that purchase is exceptional.
Unbound, Vega, Scorched Silver, Rowe are high quality.

Also found two lesbians in the game forgot where was the other.

But going back to the game, there are some balancing stuff that gives overpower stuff so early. The mining minigame gives you so much max revive that it appears in a rate better than the normal revives. And the minigame somehow feels easier and the rewards are better than the ones in unbound even when the minigame is the same. Currently I have 9 revives and 16 max revives. And since it is a item that can be farmed, it really trivializes the battles that so far are quite easy.

I found the best thing in the game so far for me, the zoo that you can donate the right pokemon and get the rewards. My second day playing was basically going back all routes and capturing everything I could so I could donate it and complete the mission.

The rewards? A master ball and one ogerpon. Quite overpowering stuff for lvl 30. But this part was my favorite so far since the battles and story are quite mid.

This is my team so far, 5 badges and I am lost to where should I go since the maps are basically islands that have limits to it. For no reason at all, since you can use the boat but can't explore the ocean and get to wherever you want.

So far I enjoyed that Chaos Black remake so far way more since there was a challenge to it, this isn't very engaging outside of side stuff (I feel the same as unbound but unbound is so much better even if the main story is trash)

Zut! I had thi strong feeling tha there was more woke stuff!
I actually noticed in HexManiacAdvance tha there wer a lot of references to boyfriends and girlfriends, but, since I did not yet really play the game a that point, I did not know the genders of those who spoke those messages!

I changed 'my girlfriend' to 'their trainer'. However, I am not going to release an updated patch since I am waiting until both of us go through th entire game and find everything 'woke'.

Either way, :semperfi:Semper Fidelis in keeping me updated on any woke stuff.

Tbh I personally expected the rerelease to be full priced. So even if $20 USD is still pretty expensive for a 20+ year game, it isn't horrible, certainly not as bad as it could've been. Even as someone who didn't think Let's go was that bad (hell, I do like the few things it did add like better movesets and encounter table changes) FRLG are a steal compared to their full priced counterparts.

I finally started adding random friends in Pokémon Go in order to complete some quests.
There's a guy who sends me postcards from England. So I send him nothing but postcards from my local Revolutionary War monuments.

Americans really care about it. Bongs couldn't careless. You should send him interesting stuff around you rather than being autistic.

Sorry, but the banter will continue.
It's not banter. It's just an autist not understanding what banter is.

There are very few things the UK cares less about than the founding of America. It's hundreds of years ago and no one alive today has any reason to care. Americans always make a huge deal out of it because they still care about it and it's important to them. To people in the UK the response is "okay... " because there's no reason for any one to care.

Banter is a 2 way street. It's got to be something both people care about or find funny. War monuments aren't banter, it's probably seen as someone who's autistic about military history.

Why can't you just let two autists send each other mildly racist postcards, you bastard?
That would actually be funny. Trying to explain banter to Americans is like trying to teach a pigeon to use a bike. It's impossible and when you try to help them they double down on "Bro, the civil war happened!"
Bro we're in the pokemon thread
I'm not in a pokemon thread with you, you're in a pokemon thread with me!

On topic. I started the dewoked pokemon crystal and I hate some of the changes. Why the fuck do modders think I want to go find the gym leader to do the first gym? Having to get to the town, get the TM, then back track the entire last route to talk to the gym leader isn't fun. I don't gain anything from 1 dialog box. I don't gain anything from having to replay content I'm over leveled for.

Why don't rom hacks have more dynamic leveling systems while we're at it? Why aren't wild pokemon always between the levels of your part of close to it? So when you return through an early route the enemies are on a closer level not 10 levels below you. It would make changing the team up easier and make past routes have a purpose to revisit.

Imagine being a child playing a children's game. You're sending pictures of your hometown because the world is still exciting and magical to you, only for some culture warrior to keep sending you pictures of some statues as an own. Sad!

I've been playing Platinum recently. It's kind of funny how people latched on to Lucario and it became a "default" Pokémon. Playing through the Iron Island part with Riley made me reflect on just how much of the marketing at the time focused on Lucario. I haven't seen it since it was new, but I'm fairly sure this part was supposed to tie in with one of the movies.

Granted, its popularity is probably also a furrybait thing, but the series has plenty of furrybait at this point. Lucario wormed its way into people's hearts by being the face of Gen IV.

It was a big push to make a second mascot after Pikachu. It got a movie and was the first Mega evolution you would encouter, they even gave you one with a free mega stone so you could use it. It half worked in that the furries still love it. But the wider audience doesn't care very much. They tried the same thing with the yellow cat but it never took root because Lucairo already filled the edgy furry slot. So it's basically forgotten now like all legendaries after their debut since gen 4.

And Zoroark to an extent. Both BW & B2W2 made this thing an event exclusive even though it was shoved in the middle of the Pokedex with non-legendary/non-event pokemon. In BW you could only get a Zorua via Celebi event. Zoroark was also an event where you had to encounter the 3 shiny dogs that were tied to the movie them and Zoroark was based on. B2W2 only gave you ONE Zorua, which is hardcoded to never be shiny and has "N" as the OT, so it's not even really yours. Thankfully once you get them, you can breed them, but they didn't really become "catchable" until ORAS where you can get them in your fucking backyard of your starting town (along with Lillipup and Sewaddle as hidden pokemon).

IDK mate, sounds like the American understands the bantz and if the Britbong understands the bantz as well, he'll keep sending him postcards from the UK. If he didn't, he would probably have removed the American from his pokemon go friendslist.
Relax and have a beer.

I have not seen a child play Go in ten years. But I still see adults, strangers, with it open on their phones.

He's too young to drink if he's freaking over how people roast each other instead of them using the game for the intended purpose
I am not freaking out. I'm trying to explain to an American their "joke" doesn't land with any one from the UK. They really care about something we don't. So it's not banter, it's an autist thinking they're funny.

Unrelated but funny.

I never understood playing Go. I was always paranoid someone would try to grab my phone. And I didn't care about anything I caught because it just went in the boxes and was forgotten. There was no adventure or connection to the mons.

You had to find Misty and even Blaine in regular Pokémon Crystal.
I feel that was jus them trying to make Pokémon Gym Leaders more involved wi the story.

That is a very hard thing to do, especially wi the restrictions of early generations. That made Shockslayer's Pokémon Crystal Clear and mayb even Polished Crystal outstanding.

Crystal is fully disassembled, you can do anything you want with it. The vanilla game already has way to add variance to wild Pokemon levels. Surf encounters can be up to 4 levels higher than the one stored in the encounter data. You could simply use this random variance and load a different base level for any encounter depending on how many badges the player has. Theoretically, it would be very easy.
This is where wild levels are loaded and modified, the code is very similar in Polished Crystal.

I can't believe I am saying this but that Pokopia game looks fun and interesting. (Un)Fortunately I don't have the money for a Switch 2.
