You definitely earned that :feels: Feels rating. You were the one who definitely wanted a dewoked version of Pokémon Lazarus after being stuck playing the same games all over again, hence you were a big motivator towards me actually completing this dewoking patch. Also, your screenshot shows one of the replacement flags I put.
Really, after all of the obstacles we got, I feel relieved that you can actually play a non-exceptional form of this hack.

Either way, I feel that shading opacity trick was part of the updates on 2,0.

I also went with Fuecoco.

Future plans:
One thing I discovered was that Pokémon Lazaru stored the sprites of Pokémon together. The same goes wi the trainers.
With what I learned, that means that I may be doing a 'white outline removal' patch in Pokémon Emerald Seaglass in the future, though not now.

Similarly, Pokémon Black & White 3 Genes is already being ported to 9-bit Polished Crystal.
Because of that, I am not doing any dewoking work on that hack until a lot later.

Speaking of Polished Crystal, I never actually demonstrated examples of MadeBetter's DX fork.

I've almost beaten FRLG but I'm stuck dealing with the rival battle that takes place after you beat Viridian City's Gym and Giovanni, right now I'm just doing some grinding.

Mega Greninja ex's path to top tier would probably look similar to Greninja BREAK's, it just needs answers to:
  • Frogadier BKP: Water Duplicates was nasty attack that made setting up Greninja BREAK really easy, the one in Ninja Spinner is okay but the fact that the cards go to your hand instead of the Bench hurts its consistency.
  • Starmie EVO: Star Beacon is a nice Ability that helps put Water Energy into the hand from the discard pile. I really have to do more research into current sets but I don't think there's a utility Pokémon out there with a similar Ability.
  • N, Cynthia, and Professor Sycamore: The current rotation will lack a good draw-based Supporter core like this. You have the soon-to-come Lillie's Determination and Judge but you're still missing a good hand refresher like Sycamore.
  • Evosoda: Evosoda really helped with the Greninja set up and there really isn't a good replacement for it.
  • Max Potion: This is one of the pieces I don't think we'll ever see a proper replacement for considering the HP numbers we're dealing with now.
  • Field Blower: This card helps with Stadium Wars and tool reliance, we have a good answer to tool reliance with Tool Scrapper but there's nothing for Stadiums except for playing another Stadium.
  • Random Receiver: Supporter search hasn't really been a thing for most of this play season outside of Secret Box. Meowth ex will help with that but it's another 2-Prize Bench sitter.
  • Rescue Stretcher: This one's a bit funky, there are cards that can replace its two effects (like Night Stretcher and Big Catch Net) but the ability to choose from those two exact effects on a single card isn't present. I feel it'll need some testing to see if it works.
  • Super Rod: This is where Big Net shines, it's basically a better version of Super Rod for Water decks.
  • Choice Band: There's no good replacement for this card in the current format, especially when there are better ACE SPECs to play that could help.
  • Brooklet Hill: Brooklet Hill really helped with making sure you have an Extra froakie on the Bench if your opponent manages to knock out your Active Froakie/Frogadier before you can evolve it. Lumiose City has a similar effect but the turn end effect makes it cumbersome.
  • Splash Energy: This one is a bit harder to replace since we tend to get one type-based Special Energy per Generation and Ninja Spinner's Bubble Water Energy is just bad.

Next TCG set is Mega Darkrai and then Mega rayquaza and after that it will be Mega Lucario Z

If the current Lucario deck lasts that long it might be cool to see how Z fits into it.
I'm assuming they will slot the Primal Goudon and Fish in with the Rayquaza, other than that they are probably just gonna do more Pyroar shitmon megas nobody likes.
I'm hoping one of them slots in a Mega Zeraora, I did a sword play through recently and used the shiny Zera I got years back for the dlc and I actually really think its cool and not just a mascotmon.

I sailed the high seas for these games, I'd love to be able to get a physical cartridge to play in both my 2DS'es but I felt part of my soul leave my body when I paid 40€ for a beat up SoulSilver cartridge and that's not happening again.

BTW if there's any gen 6 or 7 game you want to buy do it now because the price is starting to go up.

Very late and gay but this reminded me of something I saw whilst at a game store out of state: there was a full in-box copy of HeartGold with the pre-order figure included. $1,049 was the price tag. Fucking lunacy, even for that.

Also was at a mall yesterday and there were a bunch of TCG booths set up in a lobby area. Took one look at the Pokémon section and walked off muttering "fuck that". Cards were insanely over priced and the booster boxes that go for about $120-$200 retail were marked up to $600-$800.
