Like with the cards, kids can’t even play with them because balding fat millenials can’t help but fight over buying out stores to send cards to PSA via GameStop.
I liked Pokemon as a kid as Im sure many did, but I cant for the love of Christ tell you how the card game was played

The game had simple rules starting out, but most kids back then just wanted to collect the cards. Back then the decks that were top tier were like haymaker, which were centered around Pokemon that weren’t really all that popular.

I started getting back into pokemon this summer, and realizing that I enjoy filling the pokedex gave me a lot more appreciation for the games. There's something really meditative about doing a living dex. The combat at my age is not a challenge anymore, so it's cool that I'm able to set my own goals within the game like that

Here's a funny thing:
In Italy we have this massive weeb called Dario Moccia as one of the oldest content creator regard nerd stuff, big fan of pokemon, one piece, dragon ball and other japanese stuff, with pokemon itself being a big part of his childhood and large fan of it for ages, even making a video explianing lore and history of each and every one of them running on youtube back when I was in highschool.
I just found this clip featuring his opinion on ZA and the people that bought and liked it.

"...but pokemons is always pokemon..."
YOU ARE PISSING ME OFF! IT'S OVER!
(thanking various users watching the livestram)
If you buy that trash for 70-80 euros.
With the dlc announced 2 weeks before release.
If that shit on FUCK ME switch 2
If you think this is the norm (x2)
If you believe that doing the shit dodgeroll
And that running like an halfwit...
That's below PS2 standards is the norm
If you believe that 30-40 mega evolutions justify having better pokemons in the future
THEN YOU ARE FUCKING RETARDED!
You may be fine with it, but you remain a fucking retard
JUST STOP!

And in case you want to better use your time than talking about pokemon and want to take part in the international discussion, them here's a more literal translation that gives you a glimpse on how italian speech works, just for the fun of it.

"...But the pokemons you know are always the pokemon..."
(YOU) HAVE BROKEN THE COCK! IT'S OVER!
Thanks (various users)
IF YOU BUY THAT STUFF FOR 70, 80euros.
With the DLC announced 2 week before the release of the game,
IF THAT SHIT ON SWITCH TWO... SWINE WHORE! ON SWITCH TWO,
(if you) BELIEVE ITS THE ORDINARY, IF YOU BELIEVE THIS IS THE NORM,
(If you) Believe that dodging with the roll
and run (like) this LIKE A NITWIT
THAT NOT EVEN (in) THE P S TWO IS THE NORM,
(if you) Believe that 30-40 mega evolutions justify the will to see the new designs of pokemons
(you) ARE COMPLETELY TESTICLEHEADED!
It may appease you, but you remain testicleheaded. STOP!

Pokémon Chaos Black Recreated update.

The second part of the game is a mirror to the Sevii Islands of Fire Red, however here the remnants of Team Soul try a new plan: to summon Arceus, so our mission is to stop them and also win against the 6 gym leaders of this minor region.

However their ritual was botched and this was the result
1000046816.png

After the six gym challenges, we get another gauntlet as a pseudo elite 4 fight, however it isn't like the usual ones. Who we fight are the other antagonists and our ally. I thought I was quite overleveled as the fights against gym leaders didn't gave me any trouble, I WAS WRONG.

My first challenge against them was a disaster. They had pokemons from level 67-74 and my strongest was my initial fire rock pokemon at lvl 69. I got absolutely obliterated and had to load the save again. The problem is that the first 3 consecutive fights, you can't change the order of your team, so you get healed by a NPC, but can't set up a good buff.

SO I decided to die again and put my Skelegon first in the party, he was the only one who had a buff move: dragon dance, so I would set up dragon dances and hyper potion it to leave him alive so he would be able to sweep them. My team wasn't well balanced at all, water pokemon would competely destroy my sorry was and my only move super effective against them was shock wave from my weakest pokemon.

But after much testing, I eventually won against the three and could face the final sage... Professor Yew, just like intended for the original red game, we would fight against the professor.

THis fucking motherfucker, the third initial that was left untouched. My initial is fire/rock, the other is green/electric, this one is water/steel and he has a massive defense.
1000046780.png

I just couldn't beat him at all. He would body my main team with water moves that absolutely destroy
1000046782.png
ed me, so I had to give up and found someone else to use a thunderbolt since no one in my team could learn.

And guess who was it? The only one who had levels near my enemies:

MOTHER FUCKING KYOGRE!

with him I could finally try to win against the professor, which last pokemon was the Grass/electric combination

This game never made the fire option balanced at all, but I had to use him as the final one. Use earthquake and we finally won

Victory at last
1000046784.png

Our team of shitters finally beat the game. 1000046786.png

What a trip, this game is special. It is a remix of Fire Red and basically an upgraded version of Kanto that I actually enjoyed. I don't know if there is other final fight like Steven in emerald or Red in Crystal, but after beating the league we can fight against all the gym leaders with improved teams from both regions. There are so many legendaries to catch and lots of pokemon to even see.

My pokedex is full of holes and there are lots of Beta pokemon that looks so fucking cool and I have to see them all.

If you want a vanilla third gen game with lots of surprises, play this fucking romhack. Instead of wasting time with bland shit like Emerald Seaglass, this is a gold mine of a what if past that we will never get again.

Game Freak even can't even design WATER TEXTURES CORRECTLY
water man.png
wherever MARIO WIIU may be. I hope he moved onto better games with better water.
I'm freaking tearing up like a bitch over the fact that this man would be greatly disappointed with modern day water.

Water is getting worse, gamefreak doesn't care and nintendo doesn't give a shit. this is fucked up.

I got the the Lumiose Museum last night, and it made me nostalgic for... A game that came out just a few years ago.
Because it's mostly stuff from Legends Arceus.
(:_(
But there are a few interesting points:
1. Volo's outfit was apparently donated by...himself. The NPC at the exhibit also talks like he spoke to Volo, so maybe he's still alive?

2. My husband made some comment about Ingo, pondering if he made it back to Unova. And that reminded me: there's a random NPC that made some remark about the battle trains being open again. So maybe he did get back. :)

3. There's a portrait of a guy resembling Alder from G5 in-between the Diamond and Pearl clan leader portraits.

The more I am seeing footage of this game, the more it becomes apparent this is not a Pokemon game. This is a poor man's mobile title with Pokemon in it like Pokemon UNITE, which is a huge difference. At this point they might as well have turned this into an online third person arena shooter, at least that might have been fun.

The game is lazily made, it looks like there is going to be a ton of DLC(ie cut content sold to you for the same price as the vanilla game), Gamefreak is getting more cancerous than ever before with it's artificial limitations in order to get you to spend more money on online/HOME/DLC, the writing is fucking awful(even for a Pokemon game), the Pokemon Go soulless artstyle is going to become the norm and I doubt this game will have even the staying power of SV. As a reminder, SV didn't even work at launch(still doesn't) but at least it kept players engaged, I can see this one going out like a wet fart and being forgotten a month from now. There is no way this is keeping up the hype until Gen 10 comes out.

We know from the leaks they are doubling down on the mobile/GaaS market and DEI, and frankly this game looks and plays like a cheap Chinese mobile game rather than a mainline title/spin off. No soul, nothing that people are looking for in a Pokemon game, but hey, anyone who was already interested in buying it(ie worthless, mindless consoomers and menchildren blinded by nostalgia) already bought it anyways. No point in criticizing it when there will always be copium from people still buying this garbage no matter what. I know this is all in the eyes of the beholder, but good lord do the new Mega Evos suck dick. It's clear there is no talent in Gamefreak's art division anymore, hell for all we know they're all in on AI by this point and this is why they all look so fucking stupid.

Anyways, it looks like there isn't much more interesting Terraleak 2 stuff, other than some password protected archives that don't work. I guess Gamefreak learned their lesson from last year, and frankly there is no reason this couldn't be released a year ago either. My biggest gripe is that shortly after the last /ppg/ from last year, there was yet another leak which had the remaining Titan aka SV builds that weren't part of the original Teraleaks. Of course, these links are dead now, so these are probably lost forever for anyone who didn't already grab them. Much more interesting than what we got this year, aside from maybe Gen 10 stuff.

Peak video. Also brought this game's wondrous dialogue to my attention.

they needed to push this bit a little further.
the setup was there, just needed the "haha" to get the full affect

The big question is, did the Localizers do this (obviously), or did Game Freak themselves put this dialogue in the original Japanese version as a "how do you do Kids" moment?

And the comments in the video were spot on too:

think lazier. they used AI to write all the dialogue
as technology advances gamefreak is on the prowl to break new ground on how much effort they can cut off their process.
I fucking promise you, if we were to sneak into the gamefreak HQ to see who's working on the latest pokemon
it'd just be 3 guys in a room making the entire game.

I like the idea of nintedo forcing smaller and smaller teams for pokemon games.
not to save money, but to see if the poor fucks they found on fiver can do it.
