Catching everything in sight.lolwut? How the hell do you grind, then?
oh, so it's ACTUALLY Go mechanics in a Gen1 game.Catching everything in sight.
Finding Level 1 Pokémon in Pokémon GO is rare in general but seeing it on a Legendary that's not Meltan is something I'm not used to seeing.I got this cp40 Regidrago from a reward in Go, and I just need people to see this.View attachment 7578560
It's playable in the sense that a lot of the bugs and glitches that plagued the game on the Switch just aren't a thing when the game's played on a Switch 2, it still has all of the post-Gen 5 stuff that some people complain about though.is scarlet and violet actually playable on the switch 2? asking for a friend.
Probably the same as what you said, but maybe with a bit of extra time to be safe.I have an interesting idea, what if YOU were in charge of when mainline games were released from the 3ds era onwards, how long would you have each game developed and what years would you have them released.
Th is the Reddit post:Also you can tell where creativity died right around the time people started to "fix" the o.g. games.
I mean, at that point I'd just completely restructure the way Gamefreak did their games. Conquest launches in 2013 as the first Pokemon game for the 3DS with actual tactical models to take advantage of the 3d and being able to rotate the map, along with a few minor changes. No X/Y, a single XYZ version (or a less retarded name for it) in early 2014 that has more time to cook, no time and resources wasted on gimmicks like Megas, no Fairy types to further break the balance (just buff Ice types and/or make Dragon weak to Steel, it's France for God's sake, it gets cold too), focus on having more stuff to do in the region and have it be interesting (remember when you could double back to a place and it had something new? Kalos forgot). Kalos has a small Pokedex? Stop caring about numbers, do something cool like make the Elite Four be customizable and where you can lose your status as sitting champion. Bring over the stuff that was lost in Gen 5 like the Battle Frontier and secret bases and contest (and then bring over the stuff from Gen 5 on top of that). Hell, add basic rpg mechanics like story choices and being able to travel with npc trainers (they really wanted you to care about Shauna, why not let us do double battles with her?). Then a year and a half later drop a 10 year anniversary direct Emerald remake that makes HGSS look like FRLG.I have an interesting idea, what if YOU were in charge of when mainline games were released from the 3ds era onwards, how long would you have each game developed and what years would you have them released.
For me:
2013: XY
2014: Break Year
2015: ORAS (with emerald content and better balance)
2016: Z (fixing all of XY's issues and be the 20th anniversary release title)
2017: Break year
2018: SM
2019: USUM (but as a proper sequel)
2020: Break year
2021: SwSh
2022: BDSP (but with platinum content)
2023: Break year
2024: Legends Arceus (Q1 or Q2 as to give SV and Legends ZA more breathing space)
2025: SV
2026: Legends ZA (paralleling pokemon Z as a anniversary title) (also builds upon what was done in Arceus so 3 games in a row wouldn't be too overbearing)
If you want to play the golden age of Pokemon, you're gonna want the DS games, they're even backwards compatible with the 3DS. They're all pretty good except for Diamond and Pearl (play Platinum instead, it's the improved version).I haven't played Pokemon since middle school when I bought Blue the week it was released, but I've been having cravings to play again. What are the best Pokemon games of the modern era for Switch or 3DS?
Pokemon Conquest was developed by Koei as part of a deal they made with TPC and uses elements from their Nobunaga's Ambition and Samurai Warriors games. Which is to say, Game Freak didn't really have any involvement in it other than I guess they could have had the project shut down entirely if they didn't like it. So I think in the hypothetical of what you'd do if you had full control over Game Freak, you still wouldn't be able have any effect on Conquest or most other spin-offs.Conquest launches in 2013 as the first Pokemon game for the 3DS with actual tactical models to take advantage of the 3d and being able to rotate the map, along with a few minor changes.
You have to either catch Pokemon or battle trainers, and the trainers are one and done iirc.lolwut? How the hell do you grind, then?
At this point, I would just put the Pokemon franchise to sleep after Gen 6 for several years after your suggested rework and disband The Pokemon Company as well cause, frankly, I'd be more caring about keeping whatever pride that the franchise had then and let the fans continue the adventures in their own way, rather than struggle to keep up with industry standards.SM would honestly have to be reworked nearly from the ground up, a lot of its design was the culmination of the worst of Gamefreak's ideas over the decade and you couldn't really remove those without ripping out the core of it. And after that it just gets worse and you'd be fighting against stuff that is now core parts of the industry like DLC. Honestly, writing all this out and I think Gen 6 is the only one that can really be saved without nearly burning it to the ground and rebuilding, and even then it would still be a pretty drastic reconstruction to get something on par with BW2.
I'm pretty sure TPC would still have control over release deadlines, but yeah fair point.Pokemon Conquest was developed by Koei as part of a deal they made with TPC and uses elements from their Nobunaga's Ambition and Samurai Warriors games. This right here is dumb enough to invalidate your entire plan.no time and resources wasted on gimmicks like Megas, no Fairy types
Cope. Sneed. This right here is dumb enough to invalidate your entire plan.
Thats great news that it can perform at the bare baseline level. That game is basically unplayable on my switch to the extent that I never finished it and just moved everything to the bank lolIt's playable in the sense that a lot of the bugs and glitches that plagued the game on the Switch just aren't a thing when the game's played on a Switch 2, it still has all of the post-Gen 5 stuff that some people complain about though.
Thanks, I needed a reminder of how shitty the TCG’s collecting scene was back then to refire my hatred of scalpers and resellers.
