Reshiram.
This would hit harder if I hadn't almost completely passed over the advanced generation. Which in retrospect was like grades 5-10.You fags were so busy bitching about "le modern state of le pokeymans..." and other stupid shit, that no one even remembered that Pokémon Emerald turned 20 years old a few days ago (in the US, that is)
Wish a happy birthday to unrivaled Hoenn kino!
No Zangoose. Game bad.I am of the opinion that everyone collectively ignored it because it’s hard to believe the game is so old now.
Happy birthday, Emerald. May the series reach your great heights again within my lifetime.
It doesn't feel 20 years old since it aged incredibly well. It helps that unlike GSC or RBY, there is still a reason to play it since ORAS was so underwhelming. You fags were so busy bitching about "le modern state of le pokeymans..." and other stupid shit, that no one even remembered that Pokémon Emerald turned 20 years old a few days ago (in the US, that is)

Reminds me of one of my few shinies I picked up.No Zangoose. Game bad.
What Gamefreak was able to do over the last decade:and next year sun and moon will be a decade old
Don't do this to me.Diamond and pearl are 19
I'll do you another oneDon't do this to me.
This one messes me up the most. I have more hours in Ruby, but Diamond has a special place in my heart. So many more people had DP because the DS sold like umbrellas on a rainy day, so for once I had a small community of people to play with at my school. I still remember doing link battles and learning about EVs/IVs (cursed knowledge for a young lad), hanging out in the underground, battle tower multis with my friends, competing to get the "best" trades off GTS... it definitely was the most active my friends and my school ever was with Pokémon. I even remember the urban legends that we had. Like dusk balls working best at exactly midnight is one that sticks out in my mind still.Diamond and pearl are 19
Seriously, why did they get rid of that?!Edit: That reminds me, I really hope they keep the little ping sound effect from seeing a shiny that they had in PLA. I would have completely missed this Luxray if that sounds wasn't there and I know I missed a few shinies in SV because of that sound not being there.
Gen I, as far as actually playing the game, technically this current Gen regarding discussion. By ‘99 Pokémania had already waned, which also coincided with coincided with me simply not having kids my age around anymore. Despite moving into town, into a neighborhood where all the parents were around the same age as mine, I was still 3-5 years older than any of the other kids; and eternity when you’re nine.which generation was the most social one for you?
I only interacted with people IRL in middle school with Gen1 because that still was popular at the time. My classmates still were trading for version exclusives and playing the TCG at lunch time. When Gen2 came out, that's when people fell out of Pokemon and went onto whatever the latest trend was.which generation was the most social one for you?
I wonder what Gamefreak meant by having the wigger antifa analogue wind up being useful idiots for some evil NGO?
wayward young men are easily manipulated by surrogate parental figures. I also don't think Skull is an analogue to antifa, they're more like a baby form of team rocket who just fuck shit up for fun and camaraderie between members. Guzma being a nepobaby is the only part of their story i don't like.I wonder what Gamefreak meant by having the wigger antifa analogue wind up being useful idiots for some evil NGO?
I mean they take over a whole town and turn into a CHAZ.I also don't think Skull is an analogue to antifa,
Didn't Guzma fail his island challenge, and his dad regularly beat the shit out of him? Isn't that the opposite of a nepobaby? I'm sorry if I've missed/forgotten some lore.wayward young men are easily manipulated by surrogate parental figures. Yeah that's correct, you can see the context for it if you visit his room at his house and read item descriptions.Didn't Guzma fail his island challenge, and his dad regularly beat the shit out of him? Isn't that the opposite of a nepobaby? I'm sorry if I've missed/forgotten some lore.
His dad being abusive and him being bad at what he wanted to do doesn't mean he didn't come from a well-off family. His dad pushed him to be a golfer (rich man sport, imo) and Guzma even had a few trophies for it but he didn't enjoy it. I guess I meant that Guzma coming from a family with money clashes with his rough-and-tough demeanor and the sort of person he *wants* to be, not that he got to where he is through his family connections and nepotism. It sort of reminds me of hippies in the 70s being mostly upper middle class and pretending to be dirty hippies. Guzma *could* in theory, just leave his little gang and go back to his family's house and be just fine, It sucks for the people who came to rely on being in Team Skull for a sense of belonging when it dissolves (and Guzma washes off his fake tattoos lmao).Didn't Guzma fail his island challenge, and his dad regularly beat the shit out of him?
