People may think I don't like modern shit, and this is true. Especially when it serves no purpose like "Mega" Evolution and Z- Power, which is really comprised of 90% time wasting spectacle.

But man, this game was an absolute treat. Pokemon really has moved on from the damage done to it in Generation 4.

That final act. I was dumbstruck to see what was becoming of Lusamine, and how this was affecting Lillie, who I grew so attached to. The scene where our Nebby becomes Lunala was beautiful. The cave in the rain scene was beautiful, my Crab Brawler evolving finally was beautiful, getting my Drampa.

My final team was

Decidueye
Goodra
Ninetails
Crabominable
Salazzle
Lunala

I lost first but won second. The Ending Scene was extensive, worth the wait, and absolutely beautiful. Has Pokemon really become this emotional and artsy?

And Lillie, again. Amazing character. Her narration at the very end touched me. I fell right to sleep in minutes.

Rate me autistic all you want, the writing in this game was really good.

My favourite is gigalith, he is a BEAST!

I swear in recent Generations they've really increased the odds for Shinies. Got a Shiny Fearow last night. Incredible.

Now that I'm in post game, I'm gonna do my things like collecting every Starter Pokemon.

Got pokerus a week ago. Training is fast af. Just kind make up my mind about who my sixth pokemon on my team will be.

I have a bunch of baby Snow Warning alovulpixes with egg moves. I also have some Drought redvulpixes and a whole horde of custom eggmoved Ponyta and Chansey. Any takers? (I'm sorry for not getting back to some of the people who wanted specific stuff- tbh I couldn't get online when you were AND remember your ingame name/what you wanted! ;__; *shame*

As for writing, I thought Guzma's backstory was BRILLIANT because of the subtlety. * bag of angrily broken golf clubs at his parents' home (Guzma is never mentioned to play golf: his father broke them, ON SOMETHING- his son? ) * mother who's absent for long periods of time and then when she shows up, she's in total DENIAL over Guzma's- a family member's- bad deeds... She would be in denial over his father beating him, too, no doubt: she's a denier, not a confronter * Guzma's "throne" at the old mansion is beaten up by repeated punches in anger; Guzma has a lot of unresolved rage over *something* and learned to take it out violently * he finally repents at the end and gets some peace what Hau's grandfather basically takes him in and he finally has a decent father

Lillie's story, on the other hand, deals with psychological abuse from a Narcissist Parent and abandonment from the other family members who run away for safety, but LEAVE HER, the youngest and most vulnerable, to her Narcmom's dubious mercies

Tbh I wasn't expecting a Pokémon game to tackle the intricacies and horrors of different types of child abuse, with the message that victims can overcome it. I like to think that it may inspire kids in those types of situations not to give up. The story isn't heavy-handed and preachy, which I like- perhaps because the Japanese designed it and they aren't as annoying when they're trying to convey a message across as we sometimes tend to be. It was a pretty edgey topic, though. I thought it was interesting that Guzma and Lillie are basically mirror selves representing different TYPES of abuse in a single game.

I wish I could have enjoyed Pokemon Moon/Sun on the same level you did. Honestly I do, being jaded sucks. Whenever Lillie talked, I was like, 'OH BOO HOO. You're mommy's little trooper. Your angst doesn't level up my Hypno, stop wasting my time!'

eh...

The GTS fills me with autistic rage with how crappy it is. A lot of the time it seems like players use it to show off that they have a specific Pokemon because they ask for trades that are either impossible (ie: a level 10 Primarina) or improbable.

Yeah, I've been working on my living dex and I only need nidoran male and seel, but the weird thing is that I've been trying to trade away the three extra Pheramosas you have to catch (I have Moon) but no one wants one? Like what? Maybe I'm late on the UB train. Another hax I use is if you have a male sylveon with cute charm as the ability, you can encounter female salandits at 66.7% of the time. Catch a few of those, and throw them on there also.

Why don't you just breed your nidoran with a ditto son?

So I bought a 2DS to give this generation a shot after the reviews. I'm about to clear the second island and here are my thoughts so far

>GET IN THE FUCKING BAG NEBBY
>Starter choice is rigged, grass starter has a bow tie and is an OWL how am I not going to pick that
>Edgelord mc Rival is great, Hau is OK
>Professor this time around is neat
>Z moves seem kinda pointless, but they're neat enough
>Lillie is great, best supporting character I've seen in the games (I've played gen III and IV)
>The bad guy team this time around is hilarious. Team Skull seems like a group of wannabe rappers with no talent. I love it.
>Ride Pokemon replacing HM's is a little bit meh

>Ride Pokemon replacing HM's is a little bit meh

Really? I will admit, the last one you get is a huge what why but other than that, I like the Rock Smash Tauros. Also, while i was looking up breeding things, the full charge Tauros takes 33 steps per second, and is much faster than a bike. Personally I think the Stoutland sniff is kinda stupid and I wish they had the surf and speed surf in one pokemon but other than that, I like the choices for the riding pokemon.

Call me weird, but I actually liked HM's. My opinions are entirely subjective.

Nigga you best realize Hau is a rad dude with a cool tude

Heh, you are like my opposite or something.

The story is complete fucking trash and seems to be very low scale cause deadlines or something.
The characters are fucking trash as well. How is Lillie the best supportive character all she does in nothing? Everything else is mega cringe.
It is short af and has little to no post game if you aren't into iv breeding and shit.
The Battle Tree AI is the most broken thing to date apart from the people ALWAYS getting the pkmn that counter yours.
The Pokemon League is easy and their pokemon are underpowered hell the whole game is even for a pokemon game when 96% of the trainers don't even carry a full team.
The Mega Stones that are worth a damn aren't even in game and will be redistrubuted later (maybe) in the dumbest way possible.
HM's being done with is great no more slaves.
That being said I have like 250 hours in it just by breeding and shit I'm currently on a 25 win streak at the Battle Tree kms.

Hau is the most cuck pokemon character since Ash in the anime. I can't even sarcastically say what you did.

So are we any closer to them revealing the so called "Pokemon Stars?" We all know its coming yo! Pokemon Z should still be getting here in any month.

But anyway, I'm kinda having trouble finding things to do in the Post-Game. Where the fuck are the Ultra Beasts? Necrozma? Red and Green? I'm running out of money buying Poke Balls and Potions. All I can seem to is train and evolve, and to catch any Pokemon I do not have, but this is boring! Falling right into the same traps as the previous games here.

My Ninetails had her first egg this week, and I can't wait for it to hatch. I'll definitely be breeding White Vulpix's to use as trade baits. There are currently many Pokemon I want to collect. Mainly Kalos Pokemon.
