Nah it doesn't. Unless you save in those side-stories maybe, but I haven't done that to see.The game kills your save after you beat the main story

I'm not sure if we're on the same wavelength? The game saves your state after you beat the main story and doesn't let you replay or continue the main story after that. Rinse and repeat whenever you beat a side story, but you can replay those all you want.Nah it doesn't. Unless you save in those side-stories maybe, but I haven't done that to see.
I was able to finish that main story, though I cannot re-play it.[...]
Yeah you do have to do a new save, but the 'main' story is really just a tutorial and only about 10% of the overall content in the game. The final story you unlock is basically a power fantasy redux for it.I was able to finish that main story, though I cannot re-play it.
Gen 5 had some of the biggest backlash the series has ever encountered. I can guarantee that GF told the devs they had to play it safe and pander from that point on.I think the bigger question it raises is what happened between Gen V and VI that caused it.
As another poster stated you had Wally's theme, but it is way too slow and self indulgent. This GBA soundfont remix shows that potential was there though. The trumpets and drumbeat give it the intensity the fight deserves.Did ORAS even add themes outside of Zinnia's?
If we're being honest here then GO has gotten shittier and shittier in recent years (Mostly due to Niantic being a geolocation company rather than a gaming company and hating that a licensed game is more popular than its homemade games).Thinking of getting back into Pokémon Go.

They also keep clipping the events short by a day, to make room for other events. Like young vs old event with drampa got cut short for... I don't remember. The recent events have also been a mixed bag, some being good and others being kind of shitty.
Spoofing is still a thing, PGSharp works well for me on Android. Been using it for a few years and haven't gotten so much as a warning, even with making 100% of my throws forced to be Excellent Curveballs. As long as you respect the cooldown timer in the corner, it's not likely for you to get "caught".I only played GO when I was at uni, is there a way to cheat again like when it launched and you could control ur avatar with a virtual joystick?
which games, non-remake are better than Emerald? it seems like the peak of the franchise.and pares away a lot Emerald did have if you weren't just blitzing through it.
I'm playing Pokémon Coral at the moment and I'm going to start ROWE later.Guys, give me Gens 1-4 Romhack reccs.
Third versions are much better than initial releases in general, every time. This is why it seems like Gen 7 had a "redemption arc" with the release of Ultra games while Gen 6 didn't because all they got was remakes. Note that Gens 8 and 9 have zero third version and they also introduced DLC, they are both also universally hated by anyone who isn't a blind Gamefreak drone.which games, non-remake are better than Emerald? it seems like the peak of the franchise.
I've covered Supergold97, Grand Colosseum and XG: NeXt Generation romhacks in this thread somewhere before, and I am currently finishing up Revelations Emerald(I just don't have the time to catch the final few legendaries left). I recommend all four of them.Guys, give me Gens 1-4 Romhack reccs.

what? not only did the ultra games ruin the story, they also had less post game content. This is why it seems like Gen 7 had a "redemption arc" with the release of Ultra games
Story is subjective, but there is way more post game content here. SM has a Delta-Episode esque little post game story, where as Ultras have the wormhole mechanic that lets you capture infinite ultra beasts, shiny ultra beasts, one of each legendary up to this point and massive increases to certain shiny pokemon, so much so that the "market" for them was ruined at the time. That's not mentioning other extra content the game had. "Ultra Changes" may be a meme, but these games are still a definite improvement over the original in nearly every way. I still like the battle music from the original release tho, the digitilization of instruments isn't really for me in this case.what? not only did the ultra games ruin the story, they also had less post game content.
mate I don't think saying "you could catch shinies easier, this became such a problem that shinies started becoming meaningless" and then bringing up absolutely nothing else is going to help your pointUltras have the wormhole mechanic that lets you capture infinite ultra beasts, shiny ultra beasts, one of each legendary up to this point and massive increases to certain shiny pokemon, so much so that the "market" for them was ruined at the time. Most of this stuff is subjective, Ultras added in extra content in almost every part of the game. Full list is too long to post here, as for me I do care about the Wormhole minigame since it is a good way to get a ton of good Pokemon very quickly, not just shinies. I couldn't care less about story in any extra episode or post game, since Pokemon stories are never good. Rotom Spin was a good addition in my opinion, since O-Powers just straight up didn't exist until then in Gen 7. The ones to make the game easier don't really matter, but I will always appreciate the boost to wild pokemon encounters, hatching eggs or earning money since it cuts out on the grind. As someone who put a ton of hours back when Gen 7 was relevant, I can confidently say that it definitely adds to the experience more so than the original release did, if you're a casual just playing the story mode and then leave the game alone, then SM might be a better experience than the Ultras. I'm not one of those people, so I can't say how I relate.mate I don't think saying "you could catch shinies easier, this became such a problem that shinies started becoming meaningless" and then bringing up absolutely nothing else is going to help your point
most of what Ultra added (outside of a hilarious lack of balancing) was useless, borderline-annoying shit like the Ultra Corridor, Mantine Surfing, the photo studio and your aforementioned "press A to get a shiny" minigame. Or lest we forget the Rotom Spin, one of the worst fucking decisions Gamefreak has ever made, prompting the already-annoying Rotom Dex to never shut up and give you game-breaking power-ups every 5 minutes lest you make it sad. Calling them a definite improvement over the base games is spurious at best and laughable at worst, and the only real positives I can think of for Ultra over base SM is that Ultra is noticeably harder. Otherwise it made the UI worse, the music worse, the main story worse, almost all of the main gameplay generally more tedious, and the post game vaguely existent instead of literally only a Battle Tower clone and some tiny Looker sidequest. It's the difference between having Diamond and Pearl's postgame vs XY's, and saying that it's worth playing for that alone is ridiculous.
Everything I listed is mandatory to the story or the only existing postgame beyond the usual Battle Tower grind. Sure, having an opinion on it is subjective, but having an opinion on anything is subjective. Most of this stuff is subjective
Friend, having opinions is okay, even if they're wrong. I have like 600+ hours in my ultra game compared to about 250 hours in my Sun game, and 150+ of those hours is just grind for Battle Tree and the battles within it. I think that about says it all.Everything I listed is mandatory to the story or the only existing postgame beyond the usual Battle Tower grind. Sure, having an opinion on it is subjective, but having an opinion on anything is subjective.
>actually thought Rotom Spin was a good addition
nevermind, opinion discarded
