I want to come out and say that I really like the TCG pocket game. Since there's only 3 packs, no temporary banners and you get free pulls (all so far), it feels like it's not hard to get caught up or have the same cards as other players.

drop rates area bit scuffed though. It never feels great to play online turn one and you slap down a diglet and a machop and the opponent has articuno and articuno EX.

Also theres supposedly a "mini expansion" booster pack coming in December, and the "Genetic Apex 2" packs in january

Gen III had EXs, and the worst thing about EX/Lv. X/etc. was that they effectively priced most people out of the game. A Luxray GL Lv. X was something around $120, and if you didn't have one or an equally ultra-competitive deck there was slim chance of you winning even locals.
I'm well aware of that, I remember when the Mewtwo Wars took place (basically the HS-era format where Next Destinies' Mewtwo-EX was a Tier 0 deck) and when a certain Secret Rare Rayquaza was over $100 per copy due to it being a good answer to Quad Sigilyph for Rayquaza-EX/Eelektrik decks.

Thankfully that's something TPCi has gotten better at in recent years, most decks tend to be between $60-$120 in total nowadays and the only way to go even higher than that is to "bling out" good decks with max rarity cards.

Do you think Gen 1 and 2 have a creepy atmosphere? Not the whole Game but certain elements like the seafoam island and ruins of alph.
The music used for places like Ilex Forest, Ruins of Alph, and Union Cave made them scarier because it made me feel like I was being watched. Was an even worse feeling at night.

Yass the simple graphics and the eerie 8 Bit sounds rule. Everything is just implied and leaves alot to your imagination. As a kid it was creepy to go into the woods or an abandoned building. This is how it should be.

It's better if you're playing the Japanese rom way before it ever came out in English and you have no idea of anything that's going on. The ruins were the weirdest shit without being able to have context beforehand.

I remember fucking opening up my radio while I was hunting for Natus, and finding a new radio station...
What the shit is this! I just wanted to listen to Pokemon March, and instead is freaked out little child me!

not sure about being a tranny but the developer is definitely the concerning type of sperg

edit: nvm absolutely a troon
even worse: seems to be the weeb type who moved to Japan to be among his favorite anime waifus
Am I missing something here? The profile looks normal enough, especially for Bluesky, and he didn't claim he was a woman, just a dude hiding behind a cartoon avatar. That's a weeb, not a troon(probably).

In Diamond and Pearl, theme of those routes in Not Russia (like Route 225) sounds '80s-y at the start. Also, Not Russia in the vidya.

I went back to my Revelation Emerald game, after a bit of a break. I made a list of of what I have to do in the post game, surprisingly enough it's mostly catching legendaries. There is also a new Game Corner NPC that sells Pokemon like in the older titles, she wasn't there before so I assume it's another post game addition.
There is quite a bit of catching in this one, since every single Pokemon from Gen 3 is available in one form or another. I just received my second Johto starter, altho I dunno if I want to bother going for the full Hoenn dex and getting the third one again. Ironically enough, the Game Corner grind is going to be the biggest pain in the ass since I can't be bothered to gamble for the coins required, I will just grind grind grind with an Amulet Coin until I can buy enough coins. I already got several Gym Leaders ready to rematch me, so that's next on the list, I will see if they have brand new teams worth a damn.
