Ackchually, they are magnets and magnetism is connected to earth. They can pass water in mystery dungeon but a quake disrupts the earths magnetic field and knocks em down

I liked the change to Electric/Steel, though they really should've made the Magnemite evolutions have Levitate. It even says they levitate in the Pokedex entries.

Beedrill and Venomoth should've had the Levitate ability too.
The only thing Magnemite line is good for is Magnet Pull. You take that away, and it's yet another shitmon with a stupid gimmick(4x weak ground pokemon immune to ground moves). I'm just fine with it being a Skarmory killer that it is.

As for Beedrill/Venomoth, I will take their stats being boosted, bug counteracts ground weakness so that's not really a big issue. Problem is that almost any neutral move takes a large chunk of their health anyways.

Wouldn't be a stretch, we've already had (((NGOs))) (Aether Foundation, Team Galactic, Plasma) & (((billionaires))) (Lysandre, Chairman Rose) as villains. "X-Files"–style feds being the evil team for Gen 10 could unironically be kino.
There's also evil corporations as well, although Greater Mauville Holdings is only hinted at in ORAS. Despite that they're probably one of the more interesting additions to the lore, being the company that created that created all the stuff named after them, the rival of the Devon corporation before the company was shut down due to environmental concerns, and presumably the 'team' Maxie and Archie were apart of before the formed team Magma and Aqua.

>Guardians would act as a 5th move slot
Now that I think about it, there should have been more moveslots opened up with each (or every other) new generation instead of keeping it locked to 4. There's like, what, a thousand of these things now? 4-move slot syndrome is more of a curse than it ever was because of this. There's too many variables to think about because the meta has gotten way too complex. Having one or two more back-up moves would have been a lifesaver, especially for type weaknesses.

Then again, gameFreak decided to remove a lot of moves like Hidden Power, which was a godsend for most pokemon that don't see the light as often.
Between your full party you have potentially 24 moves which is plenty. You could throw in another 6 with Z-moves.

The leaked beta content all but confirms that they were both businessmen before they became eco-terrorists. Note that in the original games, both Maxie and Archie wear a suit.

In paldea remakes (gen 27) that launches in the glorious times of white ethnostate, when schwab and fauci are long time dead and the orange man lives on as an ai powered holograph in an indestructible cyborg body powered by Tesla, there will be an evil organisation that tries to to troon out people like they did in 2022. They also forcefully breed Pokémon that look like inbetweeners. Like horribly torturing rapidash to become trans colored and cutting tinkatons dicks off to make them pass as an all female species.

Yep, they had a bit of an unhinged moment and referenced the “Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life” meme despite it being a NSFW meme. I can’t really blame their social media manager for this one, the Pokémon fandom’s been comparing Ogerpon to Shrek since the former’s full reveal and they even rewrote the original Shrek is Love copypasta to fit The Teal Mask.

I doubt if the person who posted that even knew where that quote is from. I wonder if they'll retract that post, or will someone be punished for it, or will they ignore anyone trying to bring up the connection.

Personally, I feel it's like Christmas. It used to have a different meaning and then it became some phenomenon and now everyone is using it in a new way.

What if Lapras was a Water/Dragon type instead?

And why have they made Lapras Water/Ice anyway?

just makes me wish that there was a modern version of the Game Boy game. It was great—almost every card released at the time, easy to get into, good single-player campaign, and some really catchy music.
I think I'll spin up some good ol' emulator codes. My phone IS a modern gameboy.
making it part steel kinda makes sense, since appearance-wise it looks like it's made out of metal.
That stuff has unfortunately gotten even more arbitrary. Pikachu is a living mouse-like thing, so you'd think it would be Electric AND Normal type. But no, it is just Electric.

I'm fine with normal-type not getting mixed in with anything else. Normal as a type is more of a hindrance than a blessing, in fact there's only a few types that would benefit from being mixed with normal
  • Ghost - Immune to normal, fighting, and ghost types, only weak to dark
  • Psychic - looses it's ghost weakness in exchange for neutral damage against fighting types
Everything else would just make it worse. While they would always get an immunity to ghost (which isn't even a common attack type to begin with), they would either gain a fighting weakness or have a quad weakness to it, and considering fighting type is one of the most common attack types that can wreck 5 types in total, giving fighting types more things to eat would just make it a little too O.P.

Even Normal/Flying, the most common bird type, is crap since them not being pure flying means it can't use it's fighting resistance properly.

It looks like that Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid event leak was real, thankfully it’s only a 5-Star raid rather than it being a 7-Star raid like the Mewtwo raid was. Like past event raids it can only be caught once per save file, outside of that and it being Dragon Tera Type no other pieces of info are available.

In preparation for the this raid, other events raids will be run before and during the Rayquaza raid event.

Oh, and we’re getting new Mass Outbreak events but they’re locked to specific regions. Tinkatink has a higher chance of being found with the Ferocious Mark (outbreaks occurring in Paldea), Johtonian Wooper has a higher chance of being found with the Absent-Minded Mark (outbreaks occurring in Kitakami), and Girafarig has a chance of being found with the Intellectual Mark (outbreaks occurring in Terarium). A special Mass Outbreak event will occur between December 19th-January 5th featuring Cetoddle (Paldea), Carbink (Kitakami), and Fraxure (Terarium) with a higher Shiny rate. There are also ”special” mass outbreaks featuring Chansey occurring between November 28th and January 5th but there’s nothing special about ‘em.

I miss the tiled maps that were used up until generation 7-8, having the Pokémon roaming around in the overworld instead of random encounters is lame. I liked stuff like the overhead view and Pokéradar which is now not really possible anymore.
Agreed. Pokemon are supposed to be hiding in the tall grass not just strutting around like they don't give a fuck. ORAS's radar thing was actually a great way to implement overworld encounters, have them poking their tails or ears out of the grass so you have some idea of what you're encountering and can target specific mons, but the encounter is still a bit of a "surprise".

It's just a different (better imo) experience. You can call it a different gameplay experience, but having the encounter music suddenly play, the short suspense before the species is shown is just all gone now.

I think caves and surfing across large bodies of water were annoying because all tiles could have an encounter and that made it feel uncontrollable and unpredictably. Tall grass was visible and in patches so you didn't have those two problems. If I made a Pokémon game I'd make the caves have barely visible dark patches be the tall grass, and maybe foggy over water or rough water for surfing.

They're supposed to be wild animals but now they just feel like 3D models playing an animation until their collision box collides with yours.
