We got some big breaking leaks here:
In the Unite/Masters folder, there is a ton of concept art of characters from mainline games, probably for reference. There is also a ton of never before seen assets for XY, including concept art for the Power Plant and confirmation of Z edition and details about it(for example, there would have been a Mega Squirtle and Bulbasaur, likely placeholders for Mega Blastoise Y and Mega Venusaur Y)

Lmao yeah, they look quite alike.
According to Bulbapedo it's supposed to be a void cube or a menger sponge, it'd make sense as a lot about his character is based off of math, like his name (come from natural number) and theme (first couple of notes are the first prime numbers). But then they cite no sources for this trivia so it could be guesswork on their part.

But ...why?
It doesn't even match the final art?

The concept's green face was used for all the final version's faces, the patterns are similar. But maybe they changed it when they realized they couldn't fit all that detail in a 7x7 clump of pixels.

To think we could have gotten not only Poke Monster Hunter, but one with Shadow Pokemon and we got SV instead is criminal. Just the animations alone in this very early prototype build(minus Samurott) are better than anything we've gotten from Gamefreak in 10 years

Not a surprise really. Some person probably slapped them and said ‘we have to release a main game and a remake or Legends esc/remake in a two year window, do not have time for this’

The Raid battles probably came about as a result of Rodeo. Of course, since it would have been good, we can't release it, Gamefreak is still triggered about CL and GoD somehow making it thru the cracks for 20 years going now.
Of course, any normal studio that wants to make money would just hire an outside team to do this in the background and release it later, but as we discussed yesterday TPCi and Gamefreak clearly aren't good at making decisions that would make them money.
