It’s first concept. We do those on the back of napkins. They are not high effort drawings. They are idea scribbles you give to someone else. Who then looks at you funny and asks why you gave them a tissue.

I totally get that, what I'm doubting is if they are first concept, or if they're actually digitisations of hand drawn sketches, that's why my OP said if you're not the concept artist. Crude, mouse drawn sketches has to be the absolute worst way to do that, and especially in Gen 3/4 times, harder to collaborate on.

The Hisui ones to be fair do look like digital sketches with a stylus

I assume its just a Game Freak thing since pokemon are basically animals, making pokephiles basically furries.

It is immensely amusing to me to imagine pokemon has an insular community of (effectively) furries developing all their own little furry OCs and world and some executive has to go down to the basement every few months to tell them to keep their hands out of their pants and excise all the weird stuff.

At the very least, they have that Mario porn in the vault they bought the rights to to stop distrobution


Tbf though this happens all the time in media. Even Disney famously fired some of his artists for drawing porn of his characters. This orgy scene from Snow White is even confirmed to be real

No. I guarentee everywhere has freaky shit. Considering Mario is also humans and animals.

The main badguy is after all a turtle dragon that wants to bang a human princess.

And devs will undoubtedly get bored…

They’ve just not been dumb enough to get hacked so easily yet.

It’s a pretty big community, I’ll bet. The reason this is causing a stir is because the normies never payed attention to how fucked up the lore is because it gets all of it from myths and legends and those are never pretty.
 
I think it's pretty cool that it's more or less confirmed that the "lost civilization" in Gen 3 was supposed to be Atlantis, and that not only was Metagross supposed to be an actual legendary but it and Latias/Latios were supposed to be connected to Groundon/Kyogre. The two evil teams were also fairly different but were turned into pretty much one generic team in two colors in the final game, looks like even back then Gamefreak had bigger plans they were never able to utilize. I can give or take the beta designs tho, they aren't very good.

These leaks have been very bountiful, we will be digging thru them for months if not years, and what is in them will work wonders within the ROMhack community(especially the official editors and source codes). If we can confirm the XYinsider alien theory correct, then I'm all set

TL;DR the Ultra Beasts are recycled content from the original XY story draft and the Fairy Type itself was originally going to play a much larger part in the story. Lysandre was also a completely different character, which I can easily buy since his role in the final game was so wasted.

Well that explains why it feels like all SM end game content fit better in XY.

Honestly feels like XY/SM were split in half in a lot of places. Or were going to be a pair.

Oh yeah, pretty much all the cut content for Gen 6, including everything planned for Z, ended up just becoming part of Gen 7. If the XYinsider post is a larp, it's a very good one since it's very believable that they had content like this planned out but were not able to implement it for whatever reason. What we got was very safe, which lines up with the actual leaks we got and how things worked in earlier generations.

Devs: We have this cool plan
Higher up: No
Devs: We are too far in
Higher up: Can you take out such snd such and stick it in the next gam
Devs: I think we should have just enough time…yeah

Most likely what happens is this:

Devs: We've got so much stuff we want to do and we need seven years to do it!
Higher-Ups: You have a budget and five years to get this done.
Devs: Okay, let's see what we can scrap. We can use it again some other time.

An example is that I've seen the early concept of Team Galactic [a meritocratic capitalist business organization] to basically be what Team Flare ended up being [Lysandre's personal enterprise] and some of the plot points, like them shoving the Legendary in a machine that is going to extract their power and the Leader wearing a mask when being the Leader, being basically them taking the concepts they scrapped from Gen 4 and reusing them in Gen 6.

Add to it that apparently Game Freak didn't release a third game for Gen 6 because they wanted to work on stuff like Harmo Knight, and it's pretty easy to assume that they just went and used the third game elements into Gen 7, which is why Zygarde gets a full sidequest and all.

If I remember right, there was a copyright leak with an XY2...
