Not that fussed on a lot of them but Venusaur looks pretty cool. I hate how small the tree on his back looks in 3D

I guess it's not that different but it just doesn't look anywhere near as cool. Then again, Ken Sugomori art for the pokemon is objectively the best (...sans some TCG designs...)

I look at the scrapped things in previous generations and think "damn, they would've been neat."
I look at the scrapped things from gen 6 and think "WE WERE ROBBED."

Mega Blastoise incorporating some of Wartortle's design would've been so good, that flamingo beats Flamigo in every single way, and look at the bug and chameleon things, they'd have fit right in.
Mega Charizard Y looks like something out of Monster Hunter, though. And this pretty much confirms that the X-exclusive megas were added later in development, not that it wasn't obvious before.

To be honest, the original stage 3 evolution for Squirtle before Blastoise got merged into the line is probably my fave design for a mega if they were to recycle stuff

did you not remember how pissed off he was after you captured ogerpon? he's also one of the best trainers in blueberry, because he's pissed at you.

Carmine and the BB League's Elite Four, Drayton, Lacey, Crispin, and Amarys become concerned when he begins using his new authority to bully other students out of the club.

Now humiliated in front of the school, Kieran scrambles to come up with a way to get back at the player.

However, upon reaching the furthest point in the Area Zero Underdepths, Terapagos shows more interest in the player than Kieran, forcing him to use a Master Ball he received during his time as BB League Champion to effectively steal it from them. However, when the player is still able to defeat him, Kieran, under a glory-blinded Briar's instructions, Terastallizes Terapagos and demands it battle the player again. This proves ruinous, however, as Terapagos turns on and attacks Kieran, destroying the Master Ball he caught it with and forcing the player to intervene. Terapagos soon proves to be too powerful for the player to battle on their own though, so Carmine and the player convince the guilt-ridden Kieran to help out, ending with it being caught by the player.

The shock of Terapagos attacking him forces Kieran to finally realize the error of his ways, so he resigns from the BB League's rankings and requests that he and the player start over as friends. The player presumably agrees, and they return to Blueberry Academy. Following these events, it is mentioned by an NPC in the Terarium's Central Plaza that Kieran has also begun taking time off from school altogether to try to rebuild his life.

kieran was a shitter, and it took losing at the absolute 'pinnacle of power' to show him that he was a dumb idiot who needed to mature.

I'm not saying Keiran deserves him either, but it's kind of a dick move to find out how much he idolises this unique Pokemon you just learned of who he relates to deeply, and the next day, go out and catch it, then fuck off back home to another continent a few days later when your school trip is over lol

i'm not saying the player isn't a prick too, but clearly kieran is an asshole during his arc, and his lesson is that he needs to understand that sometimes, pokemon choose other people. he refused to accept that, and it's why he was so angry that the player caught ogerpon. terapagos was, as close as they can possibly show, abused by kieran when it was forced to terastalize into its super form, and even that pissed it off. he was willing to harm pokemon to get back at you, and that's a big no-no in this universe.

I've heard rumblings about a kunihiko yuyama and how he was responsible for a lot of the things fans hated about the Pokemon anime, like Ash not retiring for example, yet also I've heard he's being used as a scapegoat. Is there any truth to that?

Personally, I go back and forth on whether-or-not Kunihiko Yuyama is responsible for everything anime-related as the main director. I figured it was all on him when it came to Genesect and the Legend Awakened in making Mewtwo a female for it until the host of PokéBeach was able to interview someone in charge and asked about it, in which he got confirmation that it was a licensing issue because the production people learned the hard way that Takeshi Shudo apparently copyrighted stuff he wrote (not sure if it was through his membership of the Writer's Guild of Japan) and so it was left to his estate when he died. Ergo, the character of Mewtwo in the anime is technically Shudo's baby, and they had to work out those kinks in order to do the 20th anniversary remake and bring Mewtwo back into the anime proper. Kunihiko, when he had been interviewed years prior about the change, just said they "decided" to make a female Mewtwo which fucked with the lore, probably because he wasn't legally allowed at the time to say what the real cause behind it was.

Have to dig around for the entries, but it's been documented on Shudo's blog that he would grouse about a certain someone higher up on the food chain who would shut down his neato ideas like Team Rocket legit being villainous, Pokémon rising up against their masters, the entirety of the original third movie script involving a T-Rex fossil coming to "life", things like that. It probably wasn't a secret among colleagues Shudo and Kunihiko butted heads a lot, and he left the show mid-Johto/early-Hoenn likely because it was just too out of his control by then and he couldn't take it any longer.

I don't disagree he's a dick but to be honest I still didn't mind his story. The rivals were pretty terrible between the 3DS and SV imo. I do like Lillie but she's not really a rival, more of a companion.

I suppose technically Keiran is more of a companion too. You're his rival, but I don't think it's the same in reverse.

...isn't an egg basically a cradle too though lol? The comparison is a bit stretched but Pokemon do hatch from them so they can't leave at will, and there must be some sort of embriyotic fluid in there, at the very least for the fish and such.

I just find the idea funny that Pokémon give normal birth and then shove their children into a craddle. And that for thousand of years without any human ever witnessing it.

One Pokemon introduced before Pokemon eggs were ever concieved fuck the system up so much, lol. There's even the daycare in gen one below cerulean. Maybe they're just prudes in Kanto though because they only take one pokemon at a time.

I will make a separate thread for the hack/documentation after, so nobody ever has to go to a fucking Discord server to get information that should already be public. If they're Google Docs/Sheets, save them as .docx/.xlsx documents. If you already have T&H, you can nominate someone else in your stead. Any other questions, PM me.

I hate repeating the WE WERE ROBBED thing, buuuut... I think they had a lot of Monster Hunter influence, since Monster Hunter had some big 3DS games.
Charizard looks like Dire Miralis, and the wings remind me of Barroth.

And the chameleon guy reminds me of Chameleos...

Let me know if there's anything missing. I didn't format the docs well, I just copied text directly from discord messages so there's a lot of Discord markdown left in. Only thing I downloaded into that folder is the xdelta file used for the patching process. Installation instructions doc has everything I could find for how to patch a ROM.

There was also a channel called useful-info that I copied all the text from into its own document. The only two channels with anything remotely useful for the game were how-to-play and useful-info and I grabbed all the text from both.

edit: i slapped in an emerald rom into the folder, not sure if it's 1.0 though like the installation guide specifies. apparently there's a copy of the rom on https://ia903003.us.archive.org/view_archive.php?archive=/34/items/GoodGBA/GoodGBA Pack 6.zip but archive.org is still read-only and you can't access the downloads right now
