I've been waiting so long for a peacock Pokemon (the gay duck doesn't count) and to see we could've had one as early as gen 3.

The thing about a lot of these beta designs is that occasionally takes generations for a Pokémon to go from concept to reality and sometimes parts of them can be carved up and blended with other beta Pokémon to create new ones that have a better chance of getting in. I can see some parts of beta Pelipper in Cramorant and parts of beta Sableye in its Mega Evolved form.

That’s because the leaker hasn’t released ‘em yet (they did bring up some Z-A related stuff and tibits relating to Gen 10 but I’ve learned to take leaks from games that have yet to be released with a grain of salt), the also didn’t have stuff for SM/USUM either.

To be fair, 10 year olds don’t count as adults. That is just the age you get your first Pokemon.

And most of the game protags are several years older.

Like most normal children you are ok if you don’t follow strangers or Pokemon into dark woods.

If I had to guess, a silly mistake that when they realised it they couldn’t go back and fix without breaking everything else and they would never have enough time to do thst before release.

TBF the second novel ends in the original plan they had for the anime, where it would end after season 1 and the Pokemon would rise up against their captors.

Strangely, it was Electric Soldier Porygon mixed with Pokemon hitting the US and Europe that nixed that, and they came back with a global phenomenon. So that book isn't exactly the end all and be all. It was only meant to be anime lore.

There seems to be a trend on TikTok where brainless shitters who probably never played the older games release their Typhlosion from their PC

Just to re-iterate, normalfags are releasing a pokemon out into the wild, with no accountability, that is canonicaly confirmed to shapeshift, seek out young females, groom them, drug them with berries and impregnate them. Release them out into the wild, where there is hundreds of unsupervised isolated children just milling about in the forests, mountains and caves.
Making a new PC box called "jail" or something wouldn't work, they need good boy points for following the newest trend you see. If this was actually happening in real life, they would instead create a stampede of super powered rapefugees ravaging the land, all for upboats.

To be fair to him, there was that incident a few years back when an anime studio was lit on fire by an insane sperg over even dumber reasons than that. It's still silly, but at least there is precedent for that sort of thing in Japan.

They pretty much read like folklore tales where they did a rename of creatures, animals and yokai with pokemon. I still find it creepy as fuck that they picked the ones with bestiality as great ideas to be "worth considering adding in the game folklore". Do a fucking Momotaro thing (I'm assuming there is nothing particularly creepy/rapey in Momotaro), not the one where a guy fucks a fish and chuckes it back into the water or whatever the Typhlosion was in the original story.

The memes are fucking gold though and this is a huge slap to the face to the whole "Famiwy fwiendly" image they want to sell, so I'm still laughing.

I was wondering if it was around the same time as the Kyoto attack, but having to take literal nutjobs feelings into account when discussing changes to a kids cartoon feels like the wrong message to send. Very much "Fans are potential terrorists and we can't piss off the terrorists or we'll get firebombed" kind of vibe.

Pokemon is a stagnant brand where risk taking will be beaten out of the "Creator's Vision" in favor of bland, safe decisions that will continue to slowly poison it until it finally collapses under its own bloat.

It really depends what you mean by blow over, to be honest. 99% of the fan base is pretty hyper casual, and if anything, the zoomers will think it's funny and ironic.

I'm interested in the leaks too but I think you're applying how big of a deal you think it is. The fans won't shut up about it for the next 10y. Pokemon YouTube will probably be full of it past Christmas, but there's not gonna be Satanic Panic hit pieces in the news or anything.

People already realise anime and Japanese media is degenerate. It's been a joke for like, 30 years.
