Everything is out. We can theoretically make anything we want from Gen 3-5, that includes bringing back Dreamworld.
We haven't even scratched the surface, it will take years to see anything take effect. Hell, it will take weeks if not months just to comb thru everything and document it.

I mean, 2 extra years doesn't make it much better when you realize they took away her pants and made her wear an extremely short skirt because they knew this would sell more copies. Then Platinum came out and when they had a chance for a redesign, they gave her an autumn coat...with no pants. They knew.
For those who missed it, the original Dawn design:

But hey, at least they had some self restraint and actually made her skirt longer. That means we only occasionally get to see her butt(more often in the Japanese anime, as there was more "fanservice" there that was censored in the Western episodes).
I do find it interesting how indepth they go with the personalities of these characters, who mind you never speak or do anything in the story. How would I know that Lucas is into Linkin Park?(Patrician choice BTW) and how would that effect the games?
Imagine if there is a document for :) aka the protagonists of Sun/Moon, an entire document wasted since you play as a plank of wood that occasionally throws a Pokeball around. Lily is the main protagonist of those games, after all.

I'm sure they didn't mind the creeps but I think you're reading a bit much into it. After Crystal and especially after Gen 3, they wanted a female audience. You can see more cute and baby pokemon making it into the dex at the same time. They were just trying to make a cute design that little girls would also find cute.

I'm sure the fact some of the staff could whack it to her wasn't unappreciated by some but I think you're harping on a bit about it. She's a girl going on an adventure, so she wants loose and comfortable clothing.

i blame the froslass more than the guy, but yeah, there's always been weird moments like that because sometimes they just directly adapt a japanese folklore that involves 'man gets raped by ghost icicle.' and in japan that's just a normal thing, because island nations are completely mentally insane.

Look, I'm not going to moral-sperg like some people here, but even when I was younger this bothered me. There is an entire route covered in snow up to your waist, you really think people wouldn't raise an eyebrow as your character is getting hypothermia in real time? Lucas has an alright Platinum design that fit the setting, and even in DP the devs knew how ridiculous going thru that route was when both characters were still wearing their summer clothing. Now, a competent dev studio would make a new spritesheet for the winter sections(and swimming sections too, now that I think about it) so that the world would feel more reactive rather than just throwing a "Tee hee, isn't this silly how you're wearing nothing in this snowstorm? Aren't you cold!?" throwaway line from an NPC, but whatever. My point is, they knew. They always knew.

I think most people are just finding it funny how ridiculous it is. Only a few people are truly shocked, and they're likely tourists or spergs.

You can make the same argument for basically any of the games though because they all have varied biomes and you don't change outfit. Why am I in long sleeves and trousers when I'm on Mt Pyre fighting Team Magma?

yep, we all know how funny it is that there's a pheromone lizard based on a hawaiian myth who creates a harem of male salandit. i also just posted froslass, who literally seduces and eats the souls of men. they're japs, dude. they don't have the same moral compass we do, so they don't get why it's weird that their mythos involves that. hell, that's very similar to the myth that probably inspired salazzle, a female giant lizard that shapeshifts into a woman and eats men alive. it's a super common myth. "evil sexy naked creature that's actually an ugly beast rapes man to get pregnant/steal his soul."

salazzle is weird, but it's not as weird as a dude balls deep in an octillery's octozooka.

Gameboy games I can excuse due to the technology at the time, my point is that by the time DS came out Gamefreak could afford to have more than one spritesheet per character. They sure as hell didn't have a problem giving us a whole wardrobe of outfits most people aren't even going to change into a couple of generations later, and in SM your character even wears proper outfits when using Ride Pokemon(as stupid as they look).

This isn't some shitty remake of a classic movie with blackwashed characters made by cynical Blackrock funded assholes that can just be ignored and we all go back to enjoying the original, this isn't an author who had a weird or troubled sex life but kept it separate from his work, it's baked into the text of the canon and is a guiding principle part of it. It's not just some employees shitty slashfiction made on their own time either, it's overflowed into the actual games, "Some people marry their Pokemon." Half the people defending it are claiming that Pokemon has always been this way in deep lore and it's only "normies" and "tourists" discovering it for the first time that are pearl clutching over it. Kinda defeats the argument that it's not authorial intent when the same people are also arguing it's deep lore.

I imagine the higher ups at Nintendo's main Japanese branch must be fuming at these leaks and the "newer blood" that wern't there in the company around Gen 4/5 and maybe Gen 6 even more so, because if this actually does any damage to the brand yeah no, Game Freak/TPCi probably wouldn't be around much longer and it isn't going to be by releasing a bad or buggy game like with SV like many other franchises had.

Sure, but that's just laziness, not malice. There was room on the GBA carts too. I'm sure there were artists there salivating, but the breif was just to appeal to little girls.

unfortunately this is (or at least was) a reality for Japanese school girls last time I read. They weren't allowed to wear anything but their skirts so they would wear long thigh highs to keep their skin warm. Japan is a fucked up country. they only recently got rid of this school thing where teachers were allowed to do mandatory panty checks to make sure ur underwear were white... like why the fuck would that be important in a SCHOOL? Japs need to be nuked again.
