Looks more similar to later gens so it is possible.

Maybe there was a possibility of customizing pokeballs just like gen 4 with the effects stuff

I still find very odd how the green space on ledt or right doesn't have wild grass when there is nothing there.

It would be the first thing I would do is put some wild pokemon there, even if it was only birds.

Of note: This confirms that Hariyama was partly based off an early Gamefreak game enemy, as he resembles an enemy from "Mendela Castle"(sprites of said enemy are still in the game code). Also note the early concept art winged Blaziken(this design was split into Latios/Latias later on)

Oh shit, that's a second version of the Latias Blaziken. It's got spines, unlike the one concept art for it.
I wonder if the star dog went on to inspire Luxray? It kinda reminds me of Manectric, but the five-pointed star-mane is what Luxray uses.
