Game that literally forces you to discard pokemon and only use new wild ones, limited heals, with implied edginess...but remembering girls and boys and str8s exist is too much
>game mechanic is reverted back to gen 1
kino
I can understand removing gender locked evolutions, the Ralts line are supposed to be knights no matter what and having to search for a specific pokemon gender to get the evolution you want can be a bit annoying. But making attract work no matter what on either gender seems like a bad idea, infatuation is a pretty strong effect giving the afflicted pokemon a 50% chance to fail a move on the pokemon which they are infatuated with, combined with paralysis, flinch, and confusion it can be really oppressive and it's only really balanced by how niche it is.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it says gender markers are removed, meaning it’s still functional but not immediately visible. Which would mean attract is actually nerfed since you have to use it and take a gamble. Or I’m wrong and the creator is mega gay.

Smogon is powered entirely by PokéAutism and will probably outlast us all, or at least until TPC realizes it could probably coast by on eeveelution plushies for the next 30 years and decides making games is too much hassle. They roll in donations to the point they can host tournaments regularly with actual cash payouts and I can’t even remember the last time either the forums, site, or showdown was down.

That said, smogon OU is a really fucking boring format that sucks any thrill or chance out of the game (no, a double switch is not thrilling) and I’m not at all surprised it’s the community’s premier and most popular choice. AAA and AG are much more fun, even if they still get fucked with by the fun police every once in a while.
Yeah, you got a point there. I want to have a major overhaul of Smogon's way of handling their no-fun rules, and of course cleaning out the many admins and mods they have that I consider a problem (Finchinator especially ever since he became the "face of Smogon" I reckon).

Allow every single pokemon/move/strategy, but make a point based system that balances everything out: For example, Garchomp with a meta moveset will cost a lot of points and you will only be able to choose only 1/2 more OU tier meta pokemon, rest will have to be shitmons. This will solve the issue of every single match feeling the same since everyone uses the same 2-3 teams, and it will also force people to get creative with lesser known Pokemon. This will also get rid of useless tiering, which created anomalies where UU or below pokemon were being used in OU and Ubers. Ban all mythical/legendary pokemon outright and let people use them in a Anything Goes playlist with no point limit or charge up the ass for them in the regular playlist, keeping out smartasses who would just pick Mega Metwo/Primals every single game.

It will take quite a lot of time to set up a balanced system which treats every pokemon and moveset fairly, without charging too little or too much points, but the upside is that this would be extremely easy to translate into a simulator. This system is pretty much made for a computer.

I disagree, usage based tiering will always have it's problems the intent is to allow as wide a variety of pokemon viable as possible, even if your favorite pokemon isn't strong in a higher tier it can have a place in a lower tier where people can experiment and be creative with it. What a defines a shitmon is also very complicated and I don't think it can be easily boiled down into a point based system, some pokemon like Quagsire have low base stats but have the exact combination of abilities and moves which means even if they rank low in tiers they have niches in higher tiers, some pokemon like Clefable only became popular options years later due to people ignoring how strong it is. Bad pokemon have uses in higher tiers while an anomaly, is also one of the intended features of usage based tiering as it still allows lower tiers access to certain pokemon which may have a niche usage in higher tiers, situations like Clefables are more anomalous but I think accidentally underrating pokemon is a problem that would be exacerbated by what you suggest.
Moves and abilities make this even more complicated as moves exist in the context of the pokemon they're given too so a move can be good but bad on certain pokemon who can't make use of it. It's wouldn't be impossible, but I think it would require advanced rulings which is another thing usage based tiering is meant to address bytrying to keep the rulings as simple as possible.

In other news Kyurem is unbanned in SV OU due to wide spread cheating and corruption that meant there were 11 illegitimate vote. With the falsefied votes removed the 61.8% in favor of a ban into 59.2% in favor, which isn't high enough for a ban.

I, too, have been playing Sparking Zero.

I have beaten the elite 4 of Hyper Emerald lost artifacts.

Jesus this game is complete bullshit. i was 20 levels overlevel and still lost a bunch of times because he was faster. But my speed was around 230.

Then I went into the E4 just to checkout and found out that the whole thing was a straight up battle without any stop so you could change itens or anything, so the mega charizard srone that I was holding in the backpack was useless and all itens too.

Ever since the third gyn any boss dight used legendaries and megas in their team, but this was bullshit. I never found the gallade mega, so I was fucked in this department (he was holding a blue share because of thief lol)

Every battle I couldn't change anything in the team position and holy shit, I hope Golisopod has a different skill because holy shit that emergency exit is so fucking annoying it hurts.

None of their abilities helped much in battle with the exception of sturdy on Crustle who entered in the hall of gen 5 cool bugs alongside galvantula and scolipede.

Also this game may be the best hoenn ever looked and had some cool stuff on it, kinda sad that the post game isn't translated. It was the hardest pokémon game I ever played for sure since the balance is kinda bullshit (for example maxie and archie when release their groundon or kyogre have them as pokemon and in their omega forms too using their special moves.

Drake for example had eternatus, mega rayquaza, dialga, that b2 pokemon and more bullshit. Also for some reason all tms were fucking useless, the maximum power was 75 and most of then werent even usable (how the fuck galvantula doesn't learn thunder fang)

This was my team: most of them I was using gallade and hatterene and the rest was more active on the boss battles. CRUSTLE was the mvp in the E4 using his Rock throw.

Also as I defeated the E4 and go back home, that anabelle bitch comes in front of my home and fight me using the legendaries bullshit but hatterene put her in her spot with fairy moves.

You can but it's advised that you use a PayPal account to do so and even then only do so with a Google Play account.
I find that really weird. There's literally no way to make purchases in TCG outside of buying physical card packs for codes. Something feels really off about that.

The code stuff is technically for TCG Live and isn't applicable to TCG Pocket. As far as to why Live doesn't have in-app purchases it's in part due to TPCi experimenting with in-app currencies back when Online was a thing and said experiment never launching outside of Canada due to the horrendous pricing (the price of a single pack in Gems was equivalent to an IRL pack's MSRP at the time). That said there's also some funkiness with the game on Apple's end due to their shitty rules: you can redeem packs via their QR code on the MacOS version of the app but not on the iOS version.

The PayPal thing is for Pocket due to making an NZ Google Play/Apple account in order to download the game without app sideloading, last time I checked you can't use non-NZ credit cards due to billing address-related fuckery. I've heard you can use NZ iTunes/Google Play gift cards but I'm not 100% sure that's true.

Watched some videos about Hyper Pokemon Lost Artifacts and realized how they want you to use megas, z moves and everything else at any cost, if you dont, you will just lose.

This was my team after beating the E4, the problem is that the postgame even in casual mode is bullshit and a I will show you

Lets say you want a stronger move, maybe a TM of thunderbolt, you won't get it, you shall go to the battle frontier and farm for a single move tutor.

Jesus why do hack developers want to lock features behind grinding, it is the Second time after Volt white 2 with that main story being locked out after getting the whole Pokedex.

I am thinking of playing the new updated version of Pokémon Brown edition or Black 3, any thoughts on these games?

ROM hacking for the aforementioned games are going to be interesting now. I remember seeing that you could expand the entire Pokémon roster in HGSS to Gen 5 numbers. Now I can see them achieving parity with Generation 3 hacking.
