Game that literally forces you to discard pokemon and only use new wild ones, limited heals, with implied edginess...but remembering girls and boys and str8s exist is too much

I can understand removing gender locked evolutions, the Ralts line are supposed to be knights no matter what and having to search for a specific pokemon gender to get the evolution you want can be a bit annoying. But making attract work no matter what on either gender seems like a bad idea, infatuation is a pretty strong effect giving the afflicted pokemon a 50% chance to fail a move on the pokemon which they are infatuated with, combined with paralysis, flinch, and confusion it can be really oppressive and it's only really balanced by how niche it is.

There was a neat remake of FF1 that added new classes like the Geomancer, Green Mage, and Dragoon. The minute the developer decided to put pronoun shit in the game was when I stopped playing it.

Just finished reading Pokemon Special Black and White 2. All that sour taste of the first manga was fixed here. It was indeed the same story and that is why it felt uncooked if you only read those first 9 volumes.

Man what a great series, I still can't understand why they never decided to make an anime series out of all of special. It is literally one of the greatest manga for kids that exists. First I felt that RS was my favorite arc, then DPPT appeared and then BWBW2.

Now for X and Y... I never played the games ao I am not sure if I should play first before going into it.

And that cliffhanger with Colress and the Magician being Blake 1 (what a funny villain)

I need help looking for a video I came across randomly years ago that I laughed my ass off over. It was an animation channel, and the host was talking about their most frustrating battle in Black/White 2 which was against a Pokéfan's Clefairy in Celestial Tower. The title was something like "Why I Hate Clefairy", or that was the thumbnail and it was more like "The Worst Battle I Ever Had". Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Heads to anyone planning on trying to play TCG Pocket early, DeNA removed the location requirements for logging into the app. You'll still have to download the app via a NZ Google/iCloud account though.

The one available to download on QooApp seems to work just fine now

So after trying out TCG Pocket, I'll admit it's cute. It's like a "lite" version of TCG Live, but still suffers from the same issues... more specifically that team building is still hindered if you're only going off of what you like or what are your favorites rather than using "the good cards", which even in beginner vs they're everywhere. Encountered an opponent that was using a Moltres, and another one using Zapdos. So needless to say my win to lose ration is unbalanced with the lose number being huge. That and I still hate the whole "can't attack on your first turn" rule.

On the plus side, always having an energy card at the ready after each match is neat. And having a 20 card limit on deck building is really not that much of a hassle. it requires you to think outside of the box which I'm all for.

Started playing hyper Emerald Lost artifacts, a chinese hackrom of emerald.

They change a lot of stuff in the story but one of the things I liked is how Hoenn is so much beautiful, they also use the remake character designs for the characters.

There are some new returning characters and the game starts with a big avengers endgame clash with all villains versus all heroes.

But holy shit the game gets hard fast.

By the third gym watson was using raikou, flannery used 3 legendaries and a mega in her. So if you dont overlevel, you are fucked lol

But Holy shit this typhlosion sprite rocks

Does anyone here want to know when Smogon will be imploding on itself for the longest time? I mean its almost as ancient as RPGNet Forums and quite as pugnant with libtard support, but really, I had never thought of their singles metagame as anything serious because they can be some of the most petty niggerfaggots when it comes to wanting their precious little metagames to be "balanced". Imagine if they apply this sort of logic to like Dark Souls, where you can't dodge roll or use certain artifacts because they're "broken".
Its a good thing Game Freak never listens to them as Gen 9 really does seem to be the breaking point for their rather anti-fun bans and their eternal spite for RNG, as loads of of the Pokemon they deemed "OverUsed" are either more powerful or less useful than usual, and several of the new ones are so overtuned that they rule the metagame by default and are banned just because Game Freak wanted to get goofy, like Flutter Mane and its batshit insane stats.
I'm a bit petty towards them since I used to frequent competitive singles before falling out in recent years when I understand all I need to do is follow my own rules.

Smogon will implode on itself because it's banning absolutely everything in sight. That started in Gen 4 when they got mindfucked by Garchomp, and they've just been getting worse since. I would say they were okay between Gens 4-7, but with Gen 8 and especially now in Gen 9, it's just ban city for anything even remotely fun.
I hope there is an alternative soon, I'm sick and tired of Smogon cucks. Bring fun back to the table.

I tell ya, I fell off around that time, but really, I did fell off with Pokemon in Gen 8 overall so it just added to the salt.

Smogon is powered entirely by PokéAutism and will probably outlast us all, or at least until TPC realizes it could probably coast by on eeveelution plushies for the next 30 years and decides making games is too much hassle. They roll in donations to the point they can host tournaments regularly with actual cash payouts and I can’t even remember the last time either the forums, site, or showdown was down.

That said, smogon OU is a really fucking boring format that sucks any thrill or chance out of the game (no, a double switch is not thrilling) and I’m not at all surprised it’s the community’s premier and most popular choice. AAA and AG are much more fun, even if they still get fucked with by the fun police every once in a while.
