Was it because of the long save times, notably in Gen 4?
You know, I think that might be it. I don’t remember the save time being slow but playing back now christ it is shit. Considering how frequently people save, it’s unacceptable. Coupled with movement spead and battle times being slow and then the fact the starters just looked and felt awful to use. And the HM useage. It feels that any time you get going you are brought to a screeching violent stop.

Was it because of the long save times, notably in Gen 4? Save times are super quick in Gen 6, and while a bit slower (I think) in Gen 7, it's still faster than the DS games.

The Gen 4 games were also notorious for the HP bars taking forever to deplete in battle. It's possible to have an entire conversation while waiting for a Level 100 Blissey's HP bar go from full to zero.
It's worth noting that that was some kind of weird hardware issue exclusive to the original releases because if you emulate them or play Platinum, there's no delays and the saves take about 1 second tops. Something is fucky there and whatever it is doesn't make sense to me.

Playing Plat ln old hardware and the save times are noticable. So I’d assume it might be a DS issue.

Then there i some bug that made the player's house have a jaggy pattern instead of the intended straight one... which became the true and honest pattern in the remakes.

"content creator" is the most soulless and blatant glownigger term to describe any old shitposter on video sharing sites ever created. They don't even create actual content most of the time. Just bitching at a screen for 20 minutes or spamming political propaganda with various bait & switch tactics where they will sperg about current events in the middle of some completely unrelated video like a video explaining pokemon game mechanics.

Literally the only reason I can't bring myself to replay the originals from start to finish. Though it was a little better in HG/SS with the gigantic leap in overall visual quality and Engine upgrades that weren't in Platinum and were continued up through Gen V.

Its definitely a DS issue. Hadn't experienced this at all even on a 3DS.

Exactly that. Gen 2 released when Nintendo began to relax a bit here-and-there on censorship, but 1) Nintendo has and always will keep an eye on being family-friendly, but also 2) I'd add Pokemon became such a phenomenon so fast that NOA would definitely make sure nothing even remotely sexual or skeevy could be interpreted anywhere.
And ironically the next gen we got Gardevoir, of which basically anti-skeevyness was effectively off the table later on. I mean we got a mon based upon a fucking dominatrix.

There was also a ton of throwaway stuff in the anime and manga that was never translated over to the games. Including many locations that outright don't exist in any other pokemon media and aren't even considered in the most autistic of fan's regional maps. Outside of the Orange Islands and the Movies have some interesting locations that we do have the tech to implement in game today at a good framerate. But are sadly throwaway locations despite having all that work put into them. Its also sad that the anime never recognizes places like Sinjoh ruins and came up with some gay "jewel of life" shit instead for Arceus.

I'm more talking about the insane amount of locations the anime writers bullshitted into existence along the starting route between Twinleaf and Sandjem town to the point where kid me just completely lost all interest in the anime. Most Episodes before Diamond/Pearl in the anime are good in my opinion. Since they didn't bullshit everything like the writers of D/P's anime did. IIRC they didn't bullshit any battle frontier facilities that don't exist in Emerald. You can actually battle at those places in Hoenn in game. Inb4 "I love this jelly doughnut" meme.

SV are rerunning the Iron Leaves and Walking Wake 5-Star raids between April 26th and May 6th, if you didn't get them the last two times they were run then DO IT NOW.

A Mass Outbreak event themed around gold Shinies will also be run during that same time frame. Magikarp and Varoom will spawn in Paldea, Shinx will spawn in Kitakami, and Rellor will spawn in the Terarium. And yes, you read that right. Rellor spawns will only appear in the Terarium despite Rellor being introduced in Paldea.

I honestly stopped paying attention to the anime when XY premiered, the whole Ash/Serena shipping nonsense was truly off-putting to me.

Great, I get one more shot at grinding for the fabled 0-1 Attack IV Walking Wake, shouldn't be that hard :cryblood:

They always were their separate continuities to me.

Even Pokémon Yellow did things pretty differently, and that game was only because of the global phenomenon that was Pokémon in general.

I stopped paying attention to the anime back when D/P was airing because of how long the journey was taking vs what was actually in D/P.

The heroes movie actually adds more context to the soul dew that latios/latias have and should be added into the games somehow. Since their appearances in the games are seemingly random and implied that there are many of them, when like every other legendary pre-gen V, they had a demonstrated purpose. Like the Lake guardians and Cresselia. They're cool and definitely on the same level as the lake trio. Would definitely like to see Alto Mare appear in the games. Even as a small post-game event area. I know S/V does actual new area DLC but the character models are so uncanny looking and most of the new mons are so hit and miss I can't be bothered. Palworld did next gen pokemon better in every way.

You'd also think a legendary pokemon duo able to turn invisible at will (not the only legendaries that can do this) and shapeshift into identical copies of people would be an important detail to not exclude from the games and give them an Eon duo exclusive super buffed version of light screen (of which they can learn) or a Eon duo exclusive version of Extreme Speed (which they can't learn despite being literal pokemon jetplanes even moreso in ORAS.) But no, we get whatever "luster purge" is instead as an inferior version of Psychic, which they can also learn, and Latias just spams wish or mist ball. IIRC luster purge was in the heroes movie but its been forever since I saw it and I remember Latios getting his ass kicked every time he tried to use it.

I have gotten back to remaking SV. However, I feel tha th is the time when I should just plain make a new thread, instead, since a lot involves revising stuff I already did, while I would benefit from a single reference.

I shall say that I plan on more or less implementing the idea here:

A this poin, my new Pokédex is packed. I could not even fi the beta formes of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, which would have been a good idea, since they would have met heir Past Paradox formes.

This fake MMORPG of Pokemon, called Pokemon Pets is super crap and dated, not to mention filled with stolen fakemon designs, but the only reason why I posted it is because of strictly this.

This is Turkish BTW.

I wish they’d give us the chance to get the Static Paradox Pokemon the DLC added to the games via Raid
I doubt they'll ever do Tera raids for them since they're needed for Pokédex completion whilst Wake/Leaves aren't, the one hope some folks have is the possibility of their Shiny versions (and the Shiny versions of The Loyal Three) ending up as online competition participation prizes like the Galarian Bird Trio did back in 2022.
could it be youre....craivng my McRareCandies ?
>Not McPoffins
Now that's a missed opportunity right there.
