Ah yes, I can see why pokemon go was nominated for the title of ultimate game of all time.
I bet he would've won over Dark Souls if this stunning and brave update was added back then.
No one does give a shit about anythong other than Gen 1 and they did stop caring after Gen 4. It’s why V flopped and we got VI onwards. All the fans bitching about the pandering nowadays quite literally only have themselves to blame.
Despite not liking it, i still think that gen had some charm, 6 is the start of the downfall from the franchise, in my opinion.
One thing they really fucked up bad between gen 4 and 5 was the anime though, Ash in Sinnoh was actually able to get a competent team, only to get curvestomped by a literal nobody with 2 legendaries at the semifinals, meanwhile in gen 5 he goes back to not evolving his pokemons and loses to a clown.
And honestly have probably been hyping up VI remakes so much because almost 15 years later they realise they are to blame but don’t want to admit they were wrong and are hoping the remakes doing well can make Nintendo go back to that.
Remaking gen 4 without giving it a proper treatment a la HG/SS was one of their greatest mistakes, and remaking gen 5 and 6 will be the equivalent of capcom remaking RE 5 and eventually 6: one is feasable to be successful but asks for a lot of adjustments and improvements in order to succeed, but the one awaiting later is simply a lost cause.
Because Fairy Typing and Pixilate Hyper Voice. Last i checked, Fairy is still THE best defensive type out there since it's immune to dragons, resists common Dark/Fighting types and only weak to shit that's rarely ever used (Poison/Steel).
Fairy type was created to make people rely less on dragons and balance poison type, but instead created something far worse and retconned a lot of past gen pokemons in the process.

So I know I'm late as hell, but the last Pokémon game I played was the original Moon, and it bored the hell out of me. I've been considering getting Legends: Arceus as it seems more interesting than other poke games since then that I wasn't interested in.

Is it worth playing?

Is it worth playing?
I think it is. I like it a lot. It does what I, and I think many people saying they want remakes actually want. That being old yet similar region with clear improvements with references and call backs while having a new story.

Fair warning, it’s rough around the edges, the pokedex filling out can get tedious due to the repetative natures of the task and I found box magement can be somewhat of a pain

I enjoyed it, though some of the textures are absolutely horrible (that lava is a sin) and it's a lot less fun if you guys for 100% completion

What about Rock being immune to and strong against Electric?
I blame that on there not being a pure Rock-type until Gen II and a majority of Gen I's Rock-types being paired up with dual-typed with Ground. The only Rock-types that weren't paired up with Ground were the Fossil 'mons (water for the Kabuto/Omanyte lines and Flying for Aerodactyl).

Even the subreddit is fucking pissed off and going as far as saying that Niantic hates women by making everything a potato-faced mutant.
Thank you for spoilering that, it helps shield the eyes from sight no mortal man should ever experience. Shame it doesn't really work when replying, now I'll have to douse my eyeballs with bleach for the next half-hour and visit a hypnotherapist to repress the memories.
See this is what bugs me about all of this. No one gives a fuck iof they are woke. People give a shit if the characters are ugly.
That's because most people want to play a better, idealized version of themselves. Those that want to play a 1-to-1 version of themselves are either lame ducks or extreme egotists while people who want to play as a less aesthetically-pleasing version of themselves either have a humiliation fetish or are actively trolling.
I suppose that is a benefit to Go, unlike the mainline stuff, pushback will have a clear dent on money and playerbase.
I have a feeling Niantic actually hates Pokémon GO but can't shut it down due to it being their only moneymaker. Their original AR apps are mediocre, nobody really plays Pikmin Bloom, and Monster Hunter Now will probably end up getting cancelled like some of its other licensed games (Marvel: World of Heroes, Transformers: Heavy Metal, and Catan: World Explorers). And this isn't even touching on its dead games like Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and NBA All-World.

And I doubt they'll go back on this change, they didn't bring back a majority of the pandemic bonuses (the only one they did bring back was doubling the interaction distances) after people complained when they were rolled back and they didn't undo the changes made to Remote Raid Passes when people complained about the increased costs and daily limits were added.

I don't expect modern day Pokémon to look amazing. (Ive seen how lazy the last few have been)
I'm just looking for a fun game. I heard that legends arceus doesn't even have gyms. What's the draw then? I like a lot of the other stuff I saw about it though

Yup. People who used it to catch Pokemon weren't happy about this change.
That’s just fucking strange. The entire point of Go was AR Pokemon. If anything the AR and the catching in the AR and bonuses from walking should be the thing the devs focus on. Not whatever they focused on for the last forever.

Then you’d at least think they’d focus on making good AR and transplanting the good things from Go to their other stuff.

It's more a game about exploring and learning how the pokemon n behave so you can catch them outside battles, and while the changed-up battle system is rough it's a good step towards making the games feel more modern. I know I appreciate that it was a lot less handholding than other recent entries in the series. Hisui still feels pretty untamed too and that is a nice changeup as well. It's better experienced firsthand than watched.

Speakong of, the speed at which you can go from moving to throwing Pokemon to battle or get items or go from running tobPoke Mount is seemless.

It makes traversing feel really fluid and honestly feels much better at in than SV.

Also because you are restricted to one exploration zone at a time, the enviroment has to be memorable so you can find yourself and recall where things are.

I really hope the Gen 10 games allow us to track and hunt Pokemon we’ve seen but not caught on the map a bit better by filtering out all the other icons

As much as I rapidly started hating LA during my playthrough, I will admit the catching mechanic was a saving grace so I hope they bring that back in ZA.
Just to ask, what are the worst eeveelutions in term of competitive?
It's glaceon in the bottom and umbreon on top, right?
In terms of competitive Pokemon, Flareon would be my pick for the bottom place. Its STAB moves at its disposal (or attacking moves in general but that applies to all of the Eeveelutions) are either too low powered even considering its ATK (Flame Charge, Fire Fang) or meshes horribly with its low defences (Flare Blitz). Add that to its abilities Flash Fire (not too bad, but you better hope the opponent doesn't run it over on the next turn after it's switched in), or Guts (fucking LMAO)
otherwise it seems Leafeon and Flareon are also sharing the same space with Glaceon.
Leafeon at least has a decent ability in Chlorophyll, and the introduction of Snowscape in Gen 9 made Glaceon better than what it was previously. Don't get me wrong; they're not by all means great but even putting into account their respective types, Flareon is the clear loser.

So that's why I got this email notif. Fucking incredible.

FWIW some anons made a really good case that this is just because of cost cutting, because there is now only 1 body model so they don't have to adjust wearables anymore. But yes, if you play Pokemon Go! now you will automatically rock the tranny look. They have literally removed hips from the game. Lmao.

Mine was Fire being weak to Flying. It later turned out my Combusken's type weak to it was the Fighting type it has, not Fire.
Mine was the other way around. “Pidgeys are birds, you cook birds, of course Flying is weak to Fire.” It didn’t help that the type was called “Bird” in gen 1.

So, can you have bare chested big booba now?
Lmao no.
Everyone's avatar now looks like SlenderTranny, unless you want a fat fuck avatar. Just another example of the "inclusivity" ruining everything, and another example why anyone asking for it should be given the Clinton treatment and left in a shallow grave.
