This. SV seems to exist solely to make the thoroughly disappointing SwSh look good in comparison.Legends Arceus might be fun if you can find it for <40 bucks. New Snap or PMD DX are alright spin-offs. Avoid everything else.

Don't listen to the prudes above me, Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl are TRUE & HONEST remakes that every Pokemon fan should buy in bulk.I got to ask; are any of the more recent Pokémon games really worth playing? I mean, I had fun with Pokken Tournament, but what about Scarlet & Violent, or the DP Remakes, or Mystery Dungeon DX, or... well, any of them?
DX is fine, though I frankly don't think it's worth $60 as it did on release, I'd say it's more of a $45 game. It's got a lot of changes from the originals, most of them are minor improvements from the 3DS games and QoL changes, but some are pretty major.TBH, I was interested in potentially getting MDDX; I was a big fan of the Mystery Dungeon games back in the day, and I even still have my old copy of Red Rescue Team. That said, I am wondering if DX is good or not; I've heard that it does change a few things compared to the original game, though I'm not entirely sure what, exactly; can anyone confirm? Does anyone have any thoughts on the game itself?
I remember typing that, must've deleted it during proofreading. But yeah, there is no basic attack. Period. There isn't even the 5 damage attack from the 3DS games. I don't know why Spike Chunsoft are against it but it was handy and should return.PMDXD does not have the generic tackle attack, either.
I've resorted to artificially prolonging its shelf life by trying to hatch A0 IV shiny Pokemon eggs but I think my sanity is losing.man does anyone else think that pokemon games used to have bigger lifespans then nowadays, like i remember talking about gen 4 for years before gen 5 came out but now gen ix feels like it barely has life already and the dlc just came out last month

There was a longer period between Gen 4 and Gen 5 coming out. However the lifecycle has always been ‘current game gets talked about until new one comes out’ We used to have 3rd games which would take up a spot in a Gen filled by remakes and DLC nowadays. So really the shelf life has a always bern this long. Perhaps the only difference nowadays is everything is discovered and shown off completely if not before the game is out, via leaks and mine, then certainly by a few days after thanks to everyone streaming themselves playing it.man does anyone else think that pokemon games used to have bigger lifespans then nowadays, like i remember talking about gen 4 for years before gen 5 came out but now gen ix feels like it barely has life already and the dlc just came out last month

It's based on the crystallization gimmick, so unfortunately it is gonna be abandoned come the next generation, but it makes for adorable mascot and promotional art. (Helps that they leave the giant Ring Pop hats out of it).One of the best parts of this new generation has been all the marketing focusing on pastel mosaics; I think it's a very pretty new direction to use
BW remake in the vein of BDSP would be my guess. Either that or another Legends.Any speculation, I guess? I'm personally expecting the announcement of BW remakes as the main event (since it's that part of the generational cycle and GF want money), with almost nothing else of substance to the rest of the video.
