So This new game's enemy team is essentially just tha Skullz but led by Chad Warden instead of Tyce.
I might get this game even though I'm not really into pokemon that much anymore solely for that reason alone.

I actually really really like Turtonator. It looks like a mythical kappa, but with fire. And it has a really cool move that only it can learn. I don't get all the hate.

X and Omega Ruby are too hard.

The RPGs that hand you an auto-leveller for your entire party less than halfway through, are too hard.

Also you have to be really dense to have to read a guide to beat Pokemon. All those 8-year olds back in 1998 figured out Red and Blue just fine.

pokemon is just going from point A to point B, how is that hard ahaha

gee, how the fuck did it get so popular if it's so hard to learn?

Some of the advanced game mechanics, especially breeding, IVs, and EVs, may not be that accessible, but the type system is fairly easy to understand. Also, I can't think of a single instance after RBY where the game "doesn't tell you where to go," so this is just more of Brianna Wu being bad at video games and talking out of his ass.

So the most incredibly easy and linear rpg and not to mention the easiest games in the series so far are too hard because normal people won't figure out that chart.
Said chart is water beats fire and fire beats grass, something a whole generation of 5 year olds learnt. *sigh* how much more do you want the game to hold your hand?

Poke'mon is literally rock-paper-scissors with more elements and a story alongside a few (sometimes annoying) puzzles. If you need your hand held going through a game that easily lays out how to do everything and where you're supposed to head to next, you're an idiot.

The only thing that's "too hard" is really just too tedious, and that would be level grinding. Though honestly they got rid of that by upgrading the EXP share to work with the entire party and giving you EXP just for catching things.

So, her arguments are completely invalid. Poke'mon is not some cool kids game for people with superior minds. Anybody could pick it up and figure it out.

I mean, they typing chart this day is pretty big. But uh, if you use a move on a Pokemon and it says "It's not very effective" maybe just don't use that move again?

Pokemon is a game for children. An actual game for children. I mean, it's great and people of all generations play it, but let's not pretend who the target audience is.

If you're struggling with Pokemon (a game only accessible to hardcore gamers, REALLY?) maybe you need to find a new industry to be an expert in. My fucking MOM plays Pokemon.

"I don't think Pokemon is very accessible to a mass audience" yes that explains why the series' popularity blew up in the 90's when the games were significantly harder.
If you go into the main series after only playing GO you may not like it, sure, but if you can't understand a game designed for kids you shouldn't be allowed outside in the first place.

...ice beats rock, actually  :geek:
It's that thing where water gets into the cracks and freezes and breaks apart the rock.

Some of the typing weaknesses can be a little confusing to put logic into (I personally still don't get how Flying > Fighting other than it's hard to hit something in the air) but once you get the hang of it, it's super fucking easy. If you still don't get it, there's the wide world of the internet most modern people have access to where you can easily look up a type chart.

Or you can even talk to NPCs in the game itself. Seriously, a shit ton of them talk about the strengths and weaknesses of certain types, especially at the Gyms. It's really not difficult to figure it out at all.

Have you ever tried to punch a bird?

Yeah, Pokemon totally lacks mass appeal. That's why it's the second best-selling video game franchise of all time (only behind the Mario series) and has sold hundreds of millions of games. That's also why its total market size is ¥4.6 trillion/$57.65 billion.

Why is Brianna so fucking wrong about everything she talks about?
