I've got nowhere else on the Internet I can say this without creating some gay account on some faggy shithole I don't want to be on anyway:

Everyone participating in the cinderace raid who doesn't know type charts should fucking kill yourselves or stop clogging up the Terra raid boards. Get your Pokémon to lvl 100 and get good or don't fucking bother.

I can’t judge too much, I admittedly managed the Cinderace Raid by using Skeledirge and just spamming Torch Song until my Special Attack was maxed. Turns out the Retarded Crocodile becomes a living artillery piece at high levels. Surprisingly tanky too.

I eventually just solo'd it with Armarouge, stored power, clear smog, calm mind, and iron defense. I gave up on doing an online raid. The raids seem to rachet up difficulty if you play with others so at least solo it feels like I can control the battle more.

Online people were just bringing stupid stuff to raid attempts. Steel types against a Terra fighting, dark types, baby Pokémon, etc. As hand holdy as Nintendo has made the series its not translating into the average player understanding the core mechanics of the game.

I tried the Opportunist Espathra with Stored Power and a Mirror Herb strat, and never again, Espathra sucks ass the moment you take its buffs away. I eventually got it through sheer stubbornness since I didn't have candies or cash on hand to switch strategies, but this was the most tilted I have ever been towards a Nintendo game.

Pretty much every raid I tried online had someone showing off their shiny Slowbro while trying to do the Slowbro solo strats. It was always a Japanese player, too. I guess they're looking on 4chan for advice and can't read the "SOLO PLAY ONLY" disclaimer.

Yeah I encountered that a lot. I just started canceling my raid whenever Japanese players joined. Their people made the game and they seem the least capable of playing half the time.

I used Opportunist Espathra too but not with Stored Power. I used Feather Dance -> Calm Mind -> Strength Cheer -> Lumina Crash. Hold item was a Shell Bell. Until the shield came up, I was generally healing most of the damage I took. When the stats were reset, I used Calm Mind and went back to spamming Lumina Crash. I didn't have any issues at all. It's important that you get your damage in before the stats are reset too so by the time Cinderace spams Bulk Up, you're getting those defense increases to keep up with his attack increases.

I definitely went with the SOLO Slowbro for Cinderace. It worked extremely well once you got down what partners you need from the AI. As long as you have an Intimidator or Drifblim (burn), Cinderace shouldn't be able to do enough damage without a crit to KO you. Fuck Slack Off, it's worthless if you have an Intimidator and every time I ever tried to use it, the shield would pop before I could drop the orbital cannon. Arboliva  can get you through without an Intimidator thanks to terrain, but the extra second of animation every turn cuts it  really close. If it survives with a sliver after the first Stored Power, just hit it again, it doesn't debuff until it's 2nd turn after the shield. Did like 25 to load up on candies, protein and patches, because I'm really gonna need them...

Finally finished getting a fully evolved shiny of every Rock type. Combined with 1 of every Fairy, my cat team, and a handful of others I caught while going about the venture, I should have more then enough options to work with for making unexpected and niche combos.

There's very few rock types in the game, and with a sandwich they all spawn in abundance in their respective areas so there's not much to note. The only particular species of note is Dusk Lycanroc (all 3 forms have different stats and abilities so I count them separately). I would not recommend trying to catch one, just hatch one. You either have to hunt Shiny Rockruff and pray it has Own Tempo (good luck), or hunt Lycanroc... Dusk form can appear in the overworld and you can use a sandwich, but they only spawn at dusk... Which lasts a whopping 4 minutes. You will have to close the game, roll back your clock 5-7 minutes, reload, remake the sandwich, and then repeat every single time you are unsuccessful. It's not worth it. The only other note is Violet players will have to Masuda Stonjouner and Tyranitar.

I still have a lot of work to do though. Every single Pokemon in BB needs to be made battle ready. First row of BB2 is my cat team. Everything else is an extra I found along the way or a raidmon but are only in BB2 for the screenshot. Kyle isn't shiny, and I'm not about to hatch a shiny Charizard anytime soon. At this point it's time to let all these extra herbs I have collect dust for a while and for my basket to remain empty.

well, i caught a shiny rolycoly today. *sigh*

A lot of the metal Pokemon look great in this game simply because the light reflects off of their bodies. Magnemite and Magneton stand out as excellent examples. Their bodies look like polished steel whereas in previous games, they were just grey. You'll even notice the light reflecting off the spikes on Lucario's paws.
I don't think it happened for all Steel-types, but I remember in the spin-off games like Gale of Darkness something similar happened if you used 'mons like Aron in areas with lava.

It wasn't as vibrant, but they did suddenly get a slight metallic sheen to them. It's subtle, but if you look closely, it's there.

Couldn't you just hunt a normal shiny rockruff, give it an ability patch, and evolve that?

Own Tempo Rockruff is considered to be it's own version, since normal Rockruff's HA is Steadfast, so unfortunately no.

This. If you look at an OT Rockruff's status screen, it doesn't have a Pokedex number much like the GMeowth, Quagsire, Charizard and Cinderace line. In the code it's an entirely separate species and evolution line all together. This can even cause a glitch/oversight for people where they have "everything" listed in the Dex, but because they have an OT Rockruff registered as "caught" and not a normal one, they won't be able to get their shiny charm till they figure out it's the issue.

Which are your favorite Gen 9 Pokemon (including paradox forms)?
Mine are Sprigatito, Maushold and Tinkaton.
In my opinion, SVs roster of new pokemon is the weakest since Gen 6 but it offers some really creative Designs too.
Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Clodsire, Flamigo, Greavard, Gholdengo, Toedscruel, Cetitan, Brute Bonnet, Sandy Shocks, Miraidon, and Slither Wing are my favorites, with Slither Wing at the top of the list.
