Why can’t we just bring along that yandere rival from SV as a following companion? That intro section drags on forever.

No that would be innovating double battles are “hard work”

*Laughs in diamond and pearl*

Oh my bad! I only began to notice them when I entered area Zero so I must’ve missed them
From my experience, they may be a rare spawn. Never encountered one outside of Area Zero until recently when I had a Rock Sandwich active and was looking for other Pokemons' spawn points. Even with the sandwich, however, I didn't see very many. There's very few Rock types in the game already, so seeing so few even with a sandwich is abnormal.

Glimmet isn't that rare. Other than outbreaks, I've only ever seen them spawn underneath Alfornada and in only one location within the massive cavern. That specific location though, you seem to get 1-2 to spawn amongst all the other Pokemon in the cave. The location I'm referring to is near the top of the ramp leading out to the Alfornada plains.

Specifically, fast travel to the Alfornada Pokecenter, enter the cave to the west and keep going till you see a trainer in front of you. Turn 90 degrees right and follow the cavern wall. There's an outcropping with 3 or so large rocks, 2 against the wall and 1 against the ramp ledge. Glimmet will spawn in that general area. If you see an upper shelf to the back of the cave at your 8-10 o'clock with a Tera Pokemon (Umbreon), you should be in the right area. On the map, you should be directly underneath the Alfornada Pokecenter. If you follow the ramp down and hit another trainer, you've gone too far. The only way I see anyone missing Glimmet here is bad luck or they waited till they unlocked climbing and skipped the cave altogether.

Oh! ...Pokémon Coral! I peeked a that hack time and again!
I did not download the hack, since I would rather wait until the thing is complete, but what I see looks great!
The super-fast Dodrio had me laugh. Sudowoodo awakening from the Pokéflute and the telescope cutscene surprised me, too.
What surprised me the most is the implementation of abilities.

Also: they are actually fucking doing it. Ash Ketchum's journey is going to be concluded in a final mini-series of 11 episodes.

A bit late but the anime got boring after johto. Tried alola season a while ago but quit after a few episodes.
The show has always been bad by realistic standards other than "It's Pokemon", but as a kid season 1 was hype. It has it's iconic moments, not gonna lie.
Back these days the anime didn't took itself too serious and had it's wtf moments like the gastly episode where it transforms into a mongoose and Venustoise.
Today everything has to be disgustingly nice and cuddly, Ash has decreased from a hilarious, dumb kid to a boring character. The OG charm is gone.
The Origins/generations special episodes were good tho. They should make more of this stuff as a spinoff, even if it's just a single episode per quarter.

If anyone is planning something nefarious, it’s your history teacher.

Is this another tranny?

Would this be a good game to get into competitive Pokémon? I’ve always wanted to get into competitive play but the math involved always scared me.

Yes because it's easier to get your mons ready for cp than ever. Other gens may have a more balanced meta but the current gen is always the one thats in charge.
Try random battles in Pokemon Showdown at first to get a feeling for damage ranges, movesets, ev splits, standard situations and the way to efficiently counter things like toxic spikes, setup mons, and so on.
The teams you get are mostly well-rounded with a variety that doesn't leans too much towards stall and the randomness helps you to get keen for possible synergies.
It's learning by doing.

saw my third shiny. it was a drifblim.

it self-destructed.

no, you're not hearing screaming in the distance, what are you talking about?

(fortunately i actually have a shiny drifloon from pokemon legends, so it's not that big a loss.)

You know you can savescum with shinies now?
fffffffFFFFFFFFFF

i figured that nintendo/gamefreak wouldn't be so kind as to let us savescum shinies, since they certainly didn't want to make shinies easier to find when they took away the shiny noise and overworld glow. i should've known, though. oh, well, shit happens.

First of all, I've sorely missed Kiwi Farms and am glad to be back. :'(

I've been playing Pokémon Violet and I like it way more than Sw/Sh. There's even some Pokémon I ended up liking more than I thought I would such as Veluza and Revavroom. Even Quaquaval has grown on me. Right now I'm trying to collect them damn Gimmighoul coins because I need Golden Cheese Head... *sigh*

I've encountered a few shinies and hatched some too; these are the only 4 that matter to me so far (3 of them were hatched). The Sylveon was actually a Christmas Surprise Trade gift. It's crazy how much easier it is to find shinies in this game like what most people have been saying. I found most of my shinies before I even got my 2nd gym badge, but Surprise Traded most of them for the holidays.

There's also been some hijinks in the picnic feature, like my Tinkaton flying way up into the air! :lit:

I felt the same when I accidentally killed the shiny Murkrow I found, only to be told savescumming is entirely legitimate.

SHINY SINISTEA, LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO

speaking of sinistea, i decided to be autistic and actually look for both forms of it: phony and antique. this was a challenging task because the only difference between the two is that the antique form has a stamp underneath it, which you'll never see.

also both forms have a unique dex entry, if you're a completionist and into that gay shit.

all this being said, my shiny sinistea is a phony one, sadly. i did savescum but I got lazy.

edit: hahaha, if you go look at the image of sinistea in the pokedex, the one in the background has the stamp.

edit2: oh also both forms have different items they need to evolve: phony form needs the cracked pot, antique form needs the chipped pot

Say what you will about this new gen, but 3D Scizor looks really fucking cool. Too bad they didn't keep the trade evolution items from Arceus.

A lot of the metal Pokemon look great in this game simply because the light reflects off of their bodies. Magnemite and Magneton stand out as excellent examples. Their bodies look like polished steel whereas in previous games, they were just grey. You'll even notice the light reflecting off the spikes on Lucario's paws.

I'd go so far as to say this is why ALL the future paradoxes are robotic, and one of the past paradoxes is Magneton.
