I'll never understand how anyone at this company came up with Ryme and didn't stop and think "is this a little too on the nose" or "isn't this just so fucking cringe". That character is so fucking embarrassing in presentation and personality that I just looked away and mashed A till it was over. Iono is an extremely close second in terms of being fucking embarrassing/cringe.

I like Iono, she knows what she's about. Also she's a completly accurate portrayal of a lot streamers, but more self aware.

What Pokeballs are those shiny Pokemon in? If they're in a Pokeball that lines up with color of the Pokemon itself, I might go out and hunt one of those Iron Hands down for you.

I "like" the game but sometimes you hit places where the game is super barren. That and the slow pace made me not return. Just been playing Darktide that's all and whenever a game slows me with no fix it kills the vibe. It's just my personal take, I study and work so time is limited, and I don't want to sit through slow af combat.

It's a shame it is on the right path to be a banger, none of the characters are memorable i repress their awful models in fact.
 
Decided to run a little experiment to see how fast you actually get into the game by mashing and compared it to my personal favorite game:

Pokemon White (started time after pressing new game):
Choosing your pokemon: 1:40
First battle: 2:15

Pokemon Violet (started timer after character creation):
Gaining movement control of your player: 3:35

I feel like a more fair comparison would be how soon until you can catch a pokemon, but I didn't care enough to actually do that in Violet.

I thought GameFreak "solved" the choose-boy-or-girl thing by removing the option for your avatar to wear skirts altogether. So it's not exactly trannies, it's just less clothing choices.

I've been binging through the Scarlet/Violet glitches videos since launch last week, and I've got to say, I love seeing the Skyrim horse strategy being used with Miraidon's to scale incredibly steep terrain. ...Or how player characters can occasionally emulate Leon Kennedy with Miraidon/Koraidon with the pokemon being invisible for the entire time you're on them.

I do love how GameFreak also listened to the complaints people had with SwSh - they just had the wrong idea for executing a solution. Now instead of generic colorful voids being used as backgrounds for battles (as in SwSh), pokemon battling takes place in the overworld itself. NPCs can freely walk through pokemon battles without a care in the world, and if you're connected with another player at the time, you can probably see them doing donuts in the background. I also see that the incredibly sharp FPS drops haven't been fixed.

Nest ball for the Flutter Mane and Dream ball for the Scream Tail, because balltism is vital. I've also been duping gold bottlecaps and have all the cash in the world to blow on mints, so I can make those fuckers perfect.

Aww man, I want both then (Scream Tail for the Iron Hands.) They have the exact balls I was thinking would be best for them. I'm gonna chase after that 0 speed IV Iron Hands for you. Is there anything else you'd want from Violet? Do you want the Iron Hands nicknamed anything specific?

Raids are so poorly implemented I'm wondering if it's even worth doing 6 star ones. Online ones lag so badly that I've had 4+ rounds go by without the Pokemon's shield breaking even though its HP bar is empty. Even offline ones are pretty laggy. And let's not talk about how you can't fucking refresh the raid feed without waiting or failing to join 2 raids. Also fyi do not join raids before midnight because I think the day change somehow breaks something and locks you in the starting animation with no UI.

The new ideas and changes were there and appreciated but man, if I could honestly get a refund from Nintendo I would. I've just had too many issues and have also had the game randomly close on me before too. Rate me optimistic, but Nintendo taking the franchise away from Gamefreak would be a good thing at this rate.
 
Got bored, decided to attempt another Nuzlocke since the one I was doing on Silver version was on my brother's 3DS and I've had my own 3DS now for a while. So I went with Crystal, and I've made a small rule for myself: I will only catch Pokémon at night. The roster will be slightly smaller in that regard, but since I ended up deciding to play just before 8 PM, figured I'd make it fair for myself to just stick to a certain time of day. Dupes clause is in effect. Minus the starter because I wasn't thinking (maybe I'll rename him to Stevie), all names will have an "ee" sound at the end.

I'm just training right now before the first gym, so progress will be slow. Hopefully I'll actually go through with this one.

Irwin (♂) - lvl. 8 Totodile
Chi (♀) - lvl. 7 Zubat
Dizzy (♂) - lvl. 8 Poliwag
Lenny (♂) - lvl. 3 Hoothoot

I'm so fucking sick of the stupid stake legendaries in SV. I look up a tutorial and I can't tell if I'm retarded or pulled out the stake already and I haven't unlocked all the shrines. And I can't find anyone willing to trade them temporarily for muh dex entry.
Can some other dex autist please help me out (If you have Koraidon too that would be super cool)
BTW the multiplayer in Area Zero made me want to pull my fucking hair out (Area Zero in general is a neon eyesore, you can't even see the other players, and what version of the paradox will spawn is completely random, and only one will spawn at a time. If you run from a battle it will completely despawn.)

Should look up the interactive map for SV, I used that to find stakes and got it all done very quickly, though I could see how it would be frustrating if you dont remember which stakes you've already pulled.

As for multiplayer, I didn't realize multiplayer worked in any capacity down in Area Zero. Do Violet paradox mons spawn in your Scarlet world and vice versa? If it helps, you and whichever friends you do multiplayer with should hunt independently and far away from eachother, because the "sphere of influence" around your character that decides when to spawn Pokemon or despawn them is coded to check and select Pokemon specific to your game, and their sphere of influence spawns Pokemon from their game; staying next to eachother in multiplayer will fuck both of your version exclusive spawning abilities.

Alright cool, sorry I went to bed almost immediately after making my post. I'm gonna be at work for 8 hours here so I'll think of a name in that time. What ball is the Iron Hands in? Also I woukd appreciate it if you coukd trade me a dream ball because I used my only dream ball to catch the Scream Tail and I need a second one to dupe and produce more, and then I will immediately give the ball back.

Theres a good guide my BLAINES on youtube where you can build a Gholdengho to 1-shot raids solo, you get AI partners but them dying doesn't reduce the raid timer so you have several turns to buff with Nasty Plot, debuff with Metal Sound, and then one-shot with Modest boosted Metal Coat boosted Steel Beam.

It's in a repeat ball. I don't think there was any specific ball I had that works best with silver, blue and glowing yellow and I didn't think it would matter near as much for a non-shiny Iron Hands since a specific ball wasn't requested. I do have a second set of shiny paradox Pokemon I was prepared to trade for Scarlet Paradox shinies but the Iron Hands from that set doesn't have 0 speed IVs. Shiny Pokemon may be more common with those Herba Mysticas but 1:32 is still rough odds for something that spawns infrequently.

Each Shiny Paradox I've caught in my game are in Timer Balls. The entirety of the main body of every shiny Violet Paradox looks some shade of White, Silver, or Dark Grey, depending on lighting, which lines well with the Timer Ball's color scheme minus the glowy bits on each Pokemon and the red on the ball. They're all on offer if they interest you. I don't have a Dream Ball right now since I used mine early on for a shiny Pawmi so I'm resetting the auction till I get one.
