No doubt about it, this new design has grown on me. If I pick up a copy of this game I'm going with Cyndaquil as my starter.

2) I feel like I always wanted an alt ghost-fire Typhlosion, but now that I see it I kind of feel monkey-pawed.

I'll note that it's basically spot-on with the old Riddler lists.

To go through the list again L>R top to bottom:

- 1, the girl, was Damona, a Yokai, and was hinting at typhlosion's ghost typing.
- 2 Roronoa Zoro being a hint for Zoroark was what gave this leak credibility in the first place.
- 3 The cloudy heart legendary now makes sense - it's Enamorus, a love-based new jinn.
- 4 This was before a-voltorb was introduced.
- 5 this was ultimately a reference to Lilligant. This was one of the options discussed, but I dismissed it, myself.
- 6 was a reference to rowlet's typing, being grass/fighting.
- 7 Was sabotender, and specifically thousand needles, hinting at Qwilfish.
- 8 Metal snail is a reference to Goodra's new steel typing.
- 9 Was a pun on greninja's name, hinting at samurott's typing.
- 10 Is Avalugg, specifically the aircraft carrier he was originally based on.
- 11 Was a reference to the Kamaitachi, now revealed to be Sneasel.
- And the last was a reference to the BIG BAER.
 
As much as I hate the designs for Dialga and Palkia, there is a working theory that the core being stuck in Dialga's throat prevents him from using his signature move Roar of Time and Palkia being an amputee keeps him from using Spatial Rend.
 
Also reetard-kun is getting to finish up post game actually looks damn good, he keeps getting his ass handed to him lmao
better ending then the first credits rolling

That new sneasel is ugly af, I've always loved Weavile, it's been one of my favs for a while now, probably at least a decade at this point. To have my boy murdered in favor of long Sneasel is disheartening. I'm glad modern sinnoh let it go extinct, whatever it is.

At least normal Weavile is in as well, so it's not like it completely replaces the line for legends Tho honestly all of the new designs I kinda warmed up on and not replacing normal sneasel has warmed me up on the little fella

So far from what I've seen it's just some small QoL improvements. Like you can change the name and moves of your pokemon anytime you want now. The open world stuff makes catching and battling feel smoother and faster compared to the other games. Strong and Agile styles are fun to mess around with, definitely has the potential to make stuff super broken.

Again, idk what you expected from Game Freak. Mainline Pokemon games have always been incrementally iterative. Game Freak aren't innovators, they're a bunch of unlucky idiots that are tightly beholden to a massive multimedia empire.

Edit: oh and Pokemon don't evolve automatically anymore. You have to initiate it yourself.

Speaking of running smoother btw, game runs at a solid 30 fps for the most part, with alot of the trailer hickups for fps not as bad as it was in stuff like the presents, draw distance is still shit when you take flight though, makes me wish that if there's a switch 2/pro there will be a compatibility mode to increase games performance
