If this is the best of what Legends Arceus has to offer, then I'm going to skip it entirely and brace myself for the worst in generation 9. Out of all these leaks, the only Pokémon who doesn't invoke feelings of disgust is Hisuian Samurott.

At least this taking place in the past implies that all of these things are extinct.
 
I definitely feel like the Pokemon designers are either running out of ideas or don't care anymore. That's not to say I think all of these new guys are ugly, though. I just think they could so easily have been made better or cooler looking. I'm pretty happy with the 3 starters, Arcanine, Sneasel (not the evo though), Ursaring, and the Basculin line.

The only ones I outright hate from the leaks upon sight are the new creepy genie, sneasel's new evo, and the fucked up Dialga and Palkia. Palkia especially would look so much less retarded if it had arms so it could be a centaur thing.

I can sort of see what they were trying to do, making it longer and well more "weasel" like, but it just looks like an ugly ape. Should have looked more like Mienshao (add more of a snout, thicken the neck, shorten the limbs).

Also that Typhlosion looks like some emo furry's fursona. Fire/dark maybe? Would have preferred a fire/rock type, trying to keep with the volcano theme a bit.

The Sneasel evo deadass looks like a Sonic character, or even worse, a Sonichu character. It is too goddamn lanky, and humanoid looking.

Edit: Hisuian Samurott is Water/Dark and Hisuian Decidueye is Grass/Fighting. Not bad, but part of me feels like they should've been switched. According to this, the rest of the typings are as follows:

Lilligant, Electrode, Ursaring, Samurott and Decidueye look ok but Arcanine, Sliggoo and Goodra are definitely my favorites.

No. First, they took away the perpetual flames. Then, they took the absolute anger this thing had on its face.

This limp stoner is a disgrace. Give me my mad badger back!

Same. Memes aside, Hisuian Typhlosion is starting to grow on me. I just hope H-Typhlosion has a large mane of ghostly flames.
 
I haven't played a pokemon game since XY, but I always kept in the loop because at least a lot of the designs were neat. This is just fucking painful, these are some of the laziest and unappealing creature designs not just for pokemon but I've ever seen in any media. The palkia and dialga are obviously atrocious, but the ones that get me are Electrode, Samurott, and Arcanine, and Goodra. They're just a half step above recoloring them. There is no actual redesign, they are not functionally different than their originals. And there are so many infinitely better fan designs, this is just fucking pathetic. Idk how many of you are familiar with Pokemon Insurgence, but it's got a ton of great examples of how to do retyped pokemon

I think GF has genuinely stopped putting any effort in and just OK whatever shit gets made. It's going to sell 20million copies so who fucking cares amirite?
