So, I've not actually played BDSP yet. Did they include any of the Pt/HGSS stuff?
As @gaystoner mentioned they added the outfit. The Platinum dex is there unofficially as most of the Pokemon available in Platinum are obtainable via the underground exclusively, but the Regional Dex is the Diamond/Pearl one so they have no entries until you get the National Dex.

It's much more D/P than it is Platinum. Gym Leaders and Elite 4 all have their D/P teams and not their Platinum teams so Flint is still running the only 2 Fire types before his rematch.

Also, another fun bug:

I'm honestly impressed with how buggy these games are, only RBY can top them in jank.

these had to be rushed out to give arceus dev time, I'm just confused how the fuck you make such a simple remake so buggy

Giratina is a ghost Dragon. It has a 2x weakness to ghost by being Ghost type. He's getting hit by an equally leveled Gastly a ghost pokemon at level 100. Gastly uses hypnosis to put a status condition on then uses the move hex a ghost type move with the special effect "Doubles damage when targed is afflicted with a status condition". Without that knowledge you are missing the entire context of that small clip.

Too many people just think legendary pokemon is instant win button and don't understand typing, weaknesses, stats etc.

Gastly also has 100 base Special Attack, which is on par with Pokemon like Mew, Milotic, Regice, and funnily enough Giratina.

I recall the RNG cheese with sand veil+brightpowder Garchomp spamming double team. Quite tedious to setup but amusing stuff nevertheless.

I wouldn't count that towards the game. Any fight can be cheesed with the right pokemon.

Case in point:

I'm well aware of that, but you'd think something like Shadow Giratina would be more difficult because if it's all cast in shadow (as it's canonically able to do), wouldn't it be a bit more tricky to battle? Especially given that you can't even catch it (but lol glitches), you'd think they'd have turned the fight up a notch. Like, why'd they even do that, anyway? I'm not far enough in Shining Pearl to get to that point, but why is there a Shadow Giratina anyway? You can go back to catch it later, right?

Pretty sure it's just for introductory purposes and to parellel with the first fight with him in Platinum. While it would have been cool if Giratina's shadow form fought differently, you forget that this game is trying to stay as true to the original as possible and thus such an idea wasn't going to happen.

I get it, BDSP has a lot of things wrong with it, but you're grasping at straws at this point.

Buts bros, shadow girintina was supposed to have a bst of 900 and be the stronkest poke ever!

The Shadow Giratina fight only becomes available after you capture Giratina IIRC. You have to defeat Shadow Giratina to get the Griseous Orb since it's Origin Forme didn't exist in D/P.

So wait... why is there a Shadow Giratina, then, if you already catch it? Was it ever once stated Giratina could have a shadow clone or something?

The encounter is in Ramanas Park that replaced the Pal Park. It's the same area where you take the tablets that look like the old game cartridges and fight the other past legendaries. I don't think there's any real effort to put lore behind it, but it basically teleports the legendary Pokemon from the original game to BDSP for you to capture/fight. The Distortion Slate summons Shadow Giratina for you to fight.

tfw they gave the Banette a move that isn't even coded into the game

I beat the game a couple days ago and now I have to go through the tedious process of the Battle Tower with BP and getting the braces and choice items.

I hate this shit.
It's really fucking gay and they should make it so that home acts as an item storage to prevent the tedium but without a nuttered battle tower the NU-gens would not even have post game content aside from getting DLC like in swsh

Again if there is no gap years the games will just get more and more glitchier, I know pumping shit out annually makes money in the short term but this sort of crap builds up over time and before you know it you become sonic team.
The only studio who does annual shit right without being a dumpsterfire is RGG and even then they took abit of a break between the PS2 games and Kenzan/3

How much does TPC pay him to shill?
