Waifumons are waifumons because of Coomers and furries (a little redundant I know) in the fanbase. They're perfectly fine in the games imo. When you're designing a feminine monster why wouldn't take some details from a human woman?

Besides, it's not like they're doing anything sexually explicit in the games. Even the worst case of waifumon (Salazzle) does nothing but look somewhat seductive and that was intended in its design.
I can see any little girl pick shiny Lopunny because it's a cute pink rabbit. It doesn't even have an hourglass figure like the sprite suggests, that's just when it holds its wrist fluffs up like a boquet (tiny bit clever if you ask me).

Now I don't like Salazzle, not because it's 'sexy' but because it looks like a lazy Glip design. It's a lizard with a chest and hips and zig zags all over it with actual fuck-me eyes. Bland.

I think the main issue with a lot of those AI fakemon is they’re missing limbs. Add those on and some of them would probably work really well.

It's like a mix between a ghost, a snake and a mummy.
A multi-headed mummy snake would be a great design, it could take inspiration from Apep/Apophis from Egyptian mythology.

I kind of like this little guy.

He's just so happy.

It seems like the only designs that look any good are the ones that look like first-stagers. The others are way too complicated and tend to lack faces.

I sorta see him evolving into like, a combination of a a seahorse and some kind of gun. The nose is very snifit-y.

Yeah most of the Bot designs are off, but there are some (like the ones mentioned above) that have potential if given a redesign.

Has anyone noticed that a lot of plant type pokemon are like, oddly sexy? Like they always have the fuck me eyes and the such.
discuss with love_machine011 the fuckability of grass types.

What you're seeing here is the association of flowers and ladies (and romance) in general. If you're going to make a pokemon with a flower adorning it's head (like Lilligant), your mind moves to people who would wear a similar adornment - high-class ladies - and include other elements of the style (e.g. the ball gown).

A lot of grass types, or more specifically flower pokemon, look feminine because the flower itself is a feminine symbol and they extrapolated from there.

It's telling that all of the grass types just shown have both feminine (or at least high-class) and plant-themed names:

Tsareena - Tsarinas and to a lesser extent mangosteens.
Roserade - Roses and Maskerades. Notably this is probably the one most commonly depicted as a male.
Lilligant - Lily and Elegant.
Hell, even Venusaur ironically qualifies, being named both after the Venus fly trap and the goddess Venus, typically associated with feminity. So even what should be the obvious exception ends up having reference by dint of what it's name references.

If there's ever an Australian region, we need a platypus-themed Duck.

All this discussion about alluring plant types and no one brought up Weepinbell and Victreebel?

Imagine if Game Freak did a Sonic Mania and the ideal Pokémon game becomes a thing.
Requires them to work with talented fans who are renowned developers (and maybe a Drayano could pass?)

Eh, you could stop reading past "requires them to work with talented fans."

Anyone have an extra chimchar or turtwig to spare? Also need a ditto.

That would first require this hypothetical fan (or group of fans) to know what an Ideal pokemon game would look like.

In fact, for some the guys in this thread, what would be the Ideal pokemon game for you? inb4 "Catch them all, battle frontier and no gimmicks".

For me, it’s just Pokemon HGSS but every time you catch a Pokémon it’s gonna be like Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. It has to be a region with no restrictions in terms of which city or gym to challenge first. Pokédex has to be fully expansive.

Brilliant Diamond and Pearl is seeing is believing.

These stumpy characters kept showing off in the marketing.

Now that I have it, by god the walking animation looks absolutely silly. It’s more like for chubby, comically obese characters. The penguin walk is completely out of place, and it’s only existing because they insisted on this silly Stubby Arm gimmick.

So someone forced a bot to look at every single Pokemon and create its own, here are some of the results:

Some of these designs are kind of neat.
I find interesting how, despite the AI making a surprising amount of good esigns, the AI would have been useless without human skill in bo the learning material and in detecting and refining the 'diamonds in the rough.' There is a lot in a human brain that is 'fillin gaps' in the AI-derive designs.

Also, he open-sourced the bot:

I have pearl, but I did get those from a friend and will happily breed them once I get a ditto. Thank you!
In case you’re far enough in the game, this is how you find Ditto:
1. beat Cynthia
2. make sure you’ve seen every Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex
3. go to Rowan’s lab to get the Poké Radar
4. use the Poké Radar on the route to the right of Canalave to eventually find Ditto

I'm not no, I'm just doing my 7th badge, I've been taking my time with this game. Thanks though!

Technically, the beating Cynthia part isn't needed. Like the original Diamond and Pearl you only need to complete the Sinnoh dex to get the National Pokedex and the Pokeradar(And in the remakes, it also unlocks the expanded list of Pokemon in the Grand Underground). As a result you can get it immediately after unlocking the union room after beating Roark. It will be even easier to do once Home Compatibility is added.

Battling her is the least tedious way to see Spiritomb and Milotic though.
Anyway, @Ido, if you have a Burmy, I’d like one of those too.

Funnily enough the Grand Underground's post-NatDex Pokemon list includes the Sinnoh starters in addition the Gen 1-3 starters.

And I second that bit about Home making it easier to complete the National Dex, especially when you factor in Pokemon GO's ability to transfer Pokemon to Home.

Spiritomb's encounter tasks have been slightly altered in BDSP compared to the original series, the NPCs you encounter in the Grand Underground also count towards the 32-player chat requirement.

It’s still tedious as fuck to “unlock” Spiritomb.
