Honestly, if someone was able to patch in codes into the game, and the game isn't even fully been dropped within... 2-3 days (?), then that should be a red flag right there. How do we know that the games haven't been hit with that?

There’s just a sysmodule you can run on modded switches that effectively gives you an unlimited and very powerful software gameshark. The 3ds had the same thing. Aside from that most big games running off one of a handful of common middlewares makes dissection much easier than it used to be.

Nintendo probably wouldn't bother replacing Gamefreak with another developer. Pokemon would just go fully mobile IOS/Android and console games would cease to exist.
If the fanbase was going to burn anything down it would have happened already.

Many people have kept pokemon from the original GBA carts and transferred them into each new generation.

I have Pokemon that were Toysrus Promotions with the original owner listed as ToysRus, they ain't around anymore that shit is unique and special.
Eh, I feel you're being too pessimistic in believing that to be a possiblity.

Yeah, I think the games leaking was so this situation couldn't happen, I have no idea how Nintendo had no plan for this even with GF's shitty PR. That's probably why the launch event was canned because they knew if they had access to the games files like this it would come out before release date.
I'm mostly suprised they didn't have a boiler plate PR responce to this or anything

It seems like the shills are weirdied out about being in a minority of discussion now, interesting PR shit shows though.

We have to remember that this is a Japanese based company, not to sound racist or anything, but Japanese companies have a tendency not to care what their english speaking consumers think. And I know someone's gonna point out how the Japanese consumer base is acting, but we also need to remember how GF/Nintendo/PKMC have been acting so far.

Granted, I'm the optimist here, but what we're looking at here is a bunch of people trying to hide from fallout using a refrigerator to have it blow over.

Honestly, at this point, best case scenario here?

This is a wake up call to all the companies involved in this. This is a legacy franchise at the moment, and while it hasn't gone the way of Star Wars (gonna expect some disagreement there), this is a dip in quality ever since the franchise moved to 3d for the mainline games.

What should be done is a total restructuring of Game Freak/TPKMC - And I'm not normally one to advocate that someone lose their job, but after a botched up job like this, someone needs to be fired. Granted, I'm not saying the developers or programmers, at least not until more info's out - Granted I think Junichi Masuda should step down (or forced) from his position of designer/director, and whoever decided to push the COD mindset onto pokemon.

On a side note, and a general question on design:

What would you guys expect a pokemon based on a Harpie to look like?

Maybe joe just needs his own thread at this point.

We have a general Polemon lolcow thread in Community Watch. Probably just post his drama there instead of making a new thread. Also he has a huge history of drama that is very old and most likely nuked from the internet. The only way to retrieve it would be to comb through archives from many years ago or ask people who know his history. The latter os obviously a terrible idea.

So in news as far as the model it turns out that Clefairy had two more triangles in it's model. GAME FREAK DIDN'T LIE TO US! Reviews are dropping..... NOW.

To nobody’s surprise, game journalists like that the game is brain dead easy and straightforward.

I just checked, and it seems Black and White 2 were the worst reviewed mainline games. Game journalists man...

This dude is legit exceptional as hell. All he's accomplishing by doing this is wasting money and proving the detractors point by being what they claim the defenders of this game are: Mindless Nintendrones. No one cares if you're going to buy the game anyway, especially if your buying 10 or more copies that you probably aren't going to use.

I laughed so hard I fucking snorted coffee all over my desk, jesus christ the delusion is off the charts.

"Don't believe what you see unless you've already bought the game and are past the refund policy."

"But the first mainline game on the Switch has changed that: though there is still no “perfect Pokemon game,” the 40-plus hours I’ve spent with Sword and Shield have left me comfortable with calling them the best Pokemon games I have ever played – and I’ve played ‘em all." IGN 9.3/10

"In collecting, battling, and exploring, Sword and Shield cut out the bloat and focus on what makes these pillars of the Pokemon games so captivating in the first place. You're not held back by overly complicated back-end systems or hoops to jump through; from the outset, you can start wandering the Galar region, seeing its new Pokemon, and trying out its new battle strategies with very little in your way. This leaves you free to enjoy what Pokemon is all about, and that makes for an incredibly strong showing for the series' proper debut on Switch." Gamespot 9/10

Same reviewer at Gamespot, fascinating sweetheart.

I guess Hideo should have paid IGN more money. I wish I had someone that sucked my dick as hard as IGN does.

Everybody loves taking a shit on IGN until it's their game on the chopping block. Fuck anyone who uses positive website scores to gloat about how "good SWSH is, they're dishonest hacks.

Too be fair, good or bad, people piss and moan about IGN, no matter the game.
