New stream on pariscope now
Considering everything else going on in this shitshow of a game, improper scaling is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. But in this instance I think it's amusing to point out that it looks like Wailord got shrunken down even further.

To give a sense of perspective, this is what it looked like in the GameCube titles.

retardkun (the streamer and restreamers) and Nintendo are just playing a cat and mouse game, and it's fucking hilarious.

Here's the current stream as of this writing.

If stream is kill, go to /vp/ to keep updated.

edit. Ninja'd. Thanks for that.

Ironically enough this nintendo vs. leaker shit is more fun then I have had with pokemon since the 3ds era began

PKM shouldn't have gone 3d.

Seriously, if they had kept to the 2d style of BW2, with the animated sprites - the following complaints wouldn't happen:
1) No limited dex - Sprites wouldn't take as much data, obviously
2) The sprites would be a lot easier to develop as well as the pixel art, and more could be put into the games
3) 2d sprites are still applicable today - Heck, make a game like Octopath traveler style for PKM

Seriously, I know people wanted pokemon to go 3d for a long time, but ever since it did, the games just didn't have that charm.

That's the unfortunate thing though, the console games from Stadium to Battle Revolution more than proved Pokemon in 3D could be done well with charm to spare (just the fainting animations alone are full of personality for many of them). But once again when Game Freak does it, everything all falls apart. If they were a decent sized group of developers (let's say 300 strong at the minimum, more than double what they have now) with proper management and communication like the majority of other AAA IP teams, there's not a doubt in my mind the dreams of a fully realized HD console Pokemon experience would be a reality.

But sadly, that is not the timeline we reside in...

Seems like every day there's something new to sperg about with this game. Most of the changes i don't really care about, the only thing i don't like is the exp share. Graphics are fine to me, music is fine to me, the new mons are pretty interesting to me and i'm happy Gyms are back one of the things i look forward to the most in each game is the gym gimmicks.
XP Share isn’t perfect but it’s hell of a lot better than switch training, which is neither fun nor interesting. In the short term, the gameplay disincentivizes you from evenly leveling your team, and unless you actively make the effort to do so, one or two of your Pokémon WILL end up grossly over-leveled. I’ve always had a problem with sticking to a team mid-game, because I’ll reach a point where the wild Pokémon are 2-3 levels above the weaker half of my team and it makes more sense to catch a whole new set of Pokémon than to continue grinding the ones I have already.

What am i missing here?
Cant wait for ecelebs to pick 1 of 2 sides. Bootlicker, or dumbfuck bandwagon who is gonna show me a picture of a tree and talk about da graphics...

Why can't there just be a middle ground? all i see online is either blind devotion or pure ridicule things like "this is the best game ever" and "imagine paying money for this" and i don't know if i'm just being a fag or whatever but i sometimes get a bit anxious when i'm excited for a game and all i see online is pure hatred over even the smallest details.

I get the game has issues but i think some people are just being a bit too hyperbolic

Honestly, I feel it would be better if they didn't try to put every pokemon in every one the mainline games. Have each game have their new pokemon with some older ones showing up there (preferably with a little something different about them), but have all the pokemon come together in a spin-off series where you train them and have them duke it out with pokemon across the other regions.

That's what hopefuls are saying Home is going to have, but until we see officially just what is in that thing I'm not holding my breath for anything. Something like their own version of Showdown would be nice, but it'd still have issues (say if some mons completely miss out of a generation and don't get access to new moves).

Imagine finding a shiny in the wild area but you cant get it due to not having enough gym badges due to them being over your level cap

If this is 100% confirmed then my god that's a terrifying thought. The newer games have never been that good for an old school, full-odds hunter like me but this? This only gives me another reason not to get these games. Imagine trying to do a goddamn badge/nick quest and spending hours upon hours of time trying to find a shiny, only to be told "lol you can't catch this you've only got two badges sorry!" when you finally get it. Holy shit.

Yes, Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness were great, no arguments there, although, the Character design for the second Protagonist was off ... Like no joke:

Dear god, what is wrong with your face?!

Wes was a breath of fresh air for a protagonist

Also, his manga version was kick ass:

Like, I would totally pay top dollar for a full on pokemon game where you played as a character like Wes.

But, back onto point, Yes, those games did prove that 3d pokemon games can work, yes, those games should be handled by the people who made them (Genius Sorority) - But I would like to point out that Genius Sorority has shares owned by both Nintendo and the PKM company.

From what I understand from research, Genius Sorority has been working on their own projects like Denpa Men. They were also responsible for the mediocre Dragon Quest Swords for the Wii.

Granted, I don't know what they're doing now, but you would think that Nintendo and Gamefreak would work in tandem with this company. Especially considering that a lot of the workers from Genius Sorority were from companies that worked on the Dragon Quest series.

You can count me as one of them. Maybe JUST MAYBE, after this whole mess, they can learn from this and take the series in that direction and causing it to improve overall. I just hope they don't just listen to dexit and assume people are only upset about lack of all the mons.

To probably nobody's surprise, there's a move Dexit now too. At this point I was outright expecting it.

Mostly the obvious Z-moves and the Pikachu/Eevee Let's Go moves, but they've also cut essential staples like Hidden Power and Return. What the actual shit are they doing?

And they also cut Jump Kick, right after my boy Dodrio acquired it last gen for some much-needed coverage. Nice to know GF is basically pissing on my favorite mon's grave.

Were Hidden power and Return really essential? i never used them except for return on a Eevee because all the other moves it had were trash.

this is the worst railroading I've ever seen since Sun and Moon, what was the point of cutting every pokemon and pokemon moves?

I get why most of these moves were cut, as they were mostly gimmick moves with little use (egg bomb for example was a normal type physical move with low base power only learned by Chansey and exeggutor)

What I'm more interested by is the cut of moves like pursuit, hidden power, and return. I'd imagine they have some kind of hidden power replacement that now can include fairy moves in the formula?
