Wonder trade is in, and you can do it locally too if you go to conventions and such.

Wonder Trade was used by a lot of players to get rid of breeding rejects/extras and I doubt Surprise Trade will be any different, The loss of the GTS is really going to hurt players trying to complete the Galar Regional Dex since it was easy to get missing ‘mons.

The easiest way to fix the GTS was making it so that you couldn’t request a Pokemon who’s gender/level isn’t unnatural, prevent people from asking for GTS-blocked Legendaries, and ban “show-off” trades.

The GTS helped me out so much, but it needs to be fixed. There's no point in looking because there are hardly any fair trades. They should have a function that filters out the people who want legendaries.

Hello! As a representative of many of the Pokemon fan, I would like to convey the gratitude of the Pokemon game software that everyone is who always developed. Unfortunately, there is a hard fact that not all fans agree with every decision, but anyway, fans love Pokémon game software and what titles will they bring to the world every time? I think that there are many people who are excited just to imagine what new Pokemon and characters can meet. Certainly there are a lot of opposition voices, and I think there are times when it is difficult, but remember that the voice is not the opinion of all fans. Finally, the Pokemon series is still attractive for children around the world. And there are many children who are looking forward to the release of the Pokemon sword shield and many fans who have grown up.

Honestly he isn't completely wrong, hell I even agree with him on some points. But he honestly does sound like was being swarmy though.

Holy shit Joe, He should just crucify himself already with the guilt he bears as a """Representative""" of the pokemon """community""" it's obviously too great for him to handle running a website that that people mostly use to check pokemon locations.

Joe needs traffic to his website as Game Freak has basically deprived him of any news for the game. He's making a desperate plea to his Pokemon masters, he's even basically shut down his own forums. That poor diluted fuck, GF isn't going to help you now. They are gonna hide and wait for this shit to blow over. I seriously doubt it death threats, I would bet that a lot of preorders have been cancelled since the leaks, especially in Japan. Though people are rightly upset that GF tried to pull a fast one by not releasing a lot of relevant information in a bid to make sales without people knowing about all the lacking features. It's just shitty of them to do, I would feel this way about any game. Has nothing to do with this whole Pokemon fanatic shit.
 
I used to be subbed to far too many Poketuber spergs, and it was clear that every single one of them were going to shill the absolute hell out of SWSH no matter what because they based their entire livelihood on a singular game franchise and couldn't afford to say anything bad about them. So shortly after the fated day at E3 I did a little purging of my own and deleted them from my feed. I understand the almighty dollar, but fuck the lack of integrity for the franchise you bootlickers seem to care so much for.
 
Unless there is a secret kiddy diddling ring going on in Serebii I would rather have Joe represent the fandom than the Bulbagarden crowd. Not just because of the rumors but because most of staff don’t seem to care about Pokemon anymore and are just there to power trip the forums. BMGF is a diet version of resetera with a Pokemon skin with the insane amount of rules and censorship. Serebii is still a huge lolcow though and watching him dig himself deeper is hilarious.

All of the big name Pokemon BNFs like Archaic and Serebii are aging fans who should just step back. It is obvious their status in Pokemon fandom is the only thing they have going in their lives.

However I did see Evie, one of the former staff members, defend GF on Twitter too. Though yet again Evie was one of the biggest control freaks on the forums and threw a ton of fits while banning people over trivial shit.

While that’s a fair assessment of the GTS it should be noted that most players would tell you to host trades to get what you want instead of searching for it.

Seconding this, Joe also has to deal with GF/Nintendo breathing down his neck in regards past troubles involving reporting leaks and using a pirated copy of Black/White to report on the games.

Yeah this, I never had a problem putting pokemon up for the GTS, finding yes but I always got a trade back within 12 to 24 hours when I am asking for a mon
