Not just special effects, some of the most absurd secondary effects in the whole series:

- The Grass one applies Leech Seed
- The Water one heals 50% of the damage it deals
- The Fire one always burns
- The Electric one always paralyzes
- the Psychic one sets up light screen
- The Dark one sets up reflect
- The Ice one resets stat changes (free Haze)
- The Fairy one heals all status effects in the whole party (free Heal Bell / Aromatherapy)

All at a respectable 90 BP with 100% accuracy, the same as moves like Flamethrower and Thunderbolt.
 
Found a shiny Alpha Artibax and my retarded ass makes me want to catch it in a beast ball... the odd of catching it are a bit silly.

Back when I was big in on Gen 5 Showdown I actively hated Heatran and ran Arcanine as my bulky FWG core fire type instead like some sort of teambuilding hipster. I've long since made peace with the hot frog.
I really want GameFreak to go nuts and give Mega Heatran Earth Eater, it both kind of fits the open mouth design and adds an aspect of situationally holding off on Mega Evolving to its gameplay that I really like when done well. Going from Flash Fire to Earth Eater lets you choose when to flip your immunity from Fire to Ground depending on the situation, though Ground immunity is obviously better in most cases (especially with Earth Eater) and I wouldn't be surprised if 90+% of situations you'll just mega off the rip. I wonder if the Flash Fire boost persists even once you mega and change your ability?
Similarly, one thing I do appreciate with ZA+DLC's mega selection is that many of the mons they chose are still good as non-mega which opens the possibility of bluffing a mega you don't have. Doesn't matter with open team sheets but I'm a singles player and even VGC has some closed sheet games.

I hate the changes to autosave, making so I can't spam the ball I want, and restart if it fails.

But I am happy they let you catch the mega legendaries in whatever ball you wanted. Friend ball Rayquaza, lure ball Kyogre, and sport ball Groudon.
 
I ended up getting lucky with a Phantasmal Flames restock a while ago, I ordered a booster bundle and it just arrived yesterday. The pulls were decent. I ended up getting a regular ex (Mega Heracross ex), an Illustration Rare (Flygon), and a regular Full Art (Ignition Energy).

I've also been playing Z-A's DLC since last week, it's okay but I hate the grind.

And if you saved your special Poké Balls then all of those combos are fairly easy to pull off with the exception of Sport Ball Groudon (which would require you to either get E Rank in the first Ranked Season or farming Hyperspace Battle Zones for Pokémaniac battles).

Yeah, I just love seeing people on Twitter begging for another LG entry but failing to understand that its rocky reception and ties to Pokémon GO make it highly unlikely that Game Freak would ever approach it again.

That said it IS one of the easier titles to Shiny hunt in, just get the catch combo up to 32 and wait for one to spawn.

This is the first that I'm even hearing of this set.
I think I'm 2 or 3 sets behind in what I thought was "the current one." I can't find anything at even a reasonable price, let alone MSRP. Cards have been gone from stores for a year. The hobby is completely out-of-reach for almost everybody. The only community left is the turbo-autists and the speculators, and they just buy up everything and make it all even more inaccessible. This sucks now.
