TPC is losing its stronghold , with the TCG losing nearly half of its December revenue. If we're supposed to believe Sensor Tower, Pokemon Go did even worse in January with a total of $37m. Go Tour should boost Go's numbers with the new fusion and some returning legendaries, but we'll see. They really fucked up last month.
This won't give TPC and Niantic a reality check because Go isn't their main bread and butter. The plushies/merch (and Blackrock's bailout money) keep TPC alive, and Niantic is more about the AR technology than their games. Nantic can move on from the games, and be more tech-oriented unless they develop a really bad reputation or do something catastrophically stupid with their DEI hires. The fanbase is too cucked to put their feet down on TPC (I'm guilty of this too).
Unless the new cosmetics covered more of your doughy, pedo-bait avatar, newer cosmetics aren't getting purchased because a lot of them look like shit. To be honest with you, the other Revisiting updates (Revisiting Kanto being the biggest offender) and the Max content are much worse than the avatar updates because Gmax and Dmax is more or less pay-to-win. They broke the adventure synch feature right around Rookidee's release, and they've yet t to address it. Unless it's Gmax Pokemon or a Pokemon I missed out on like Enamorous and Hoopla, I don't bother with events and community days. PvE and PvP are beyond broken, and Niantic doesn't care.Great news, I'm glad. That tranny update was horrific.
