I agree, but Pokemon Legends Arceus was really good. I didn't even consider buying Violet and Crimson or whatever the fuck the latest games are called, but Arceus is probably my favorite in the entire series. ZA is the first Pokemon game I've been excited for since Platinum.
I dunno. I tried it for the first time last weekend at my sister's place. My nephew was trying to get past some golden ice boss guy. I tried it a bunch of times, my sister and my brother in law tried it a bunch of times. It was so fucking tedious. Just repeating the same slow tedious shit over and over. Dodge the same pattern of ice wave things, throw a pokemon, throw the snowball things and hope you get the health bar down enough. The rest of the game looked kind of cool but that shit was awful. They were still fucking with it when I went home.
Yeah, you're talking about those boss battles with story Pokemon whose names I don't remember. There are only four of those (I think). They only make up a small part of the game. They're easily the worst part of the game. Luckily you can blast through the early story and then play the game the fun way once those are over.
That's fair enough. It reminded me a little of Crystal Project's mounts with the pokemon that let you traverse over different types of terrain. I'm not really the biggest fan of open world games though. It seems like it had a bunch of crafting and resource gathering bullshit too and I fucking hate that shit.
