hey guys. the community day event is going on right now. treeko's are popping up everywhere and if you evolve it to sceptile. it will learn frenzy plant.

also egg incubators will hatch eggs 4x faster. happy hunting!
 
guys. the april community day is live right now. 3 pm to 6 pm local time.

bagons are popping up everywhere. evolve it to salamence and it will know outrage.

also. XP from catching is tripled.

Got three shiny Bagon, none of them are any good though. Found a "simply amazing" regular one that was good enough. This is the first community day I've participated in, and holy goddamn they were everywhere. I hope they do one for Ralts at some point if they haven't already, I'd love a nice Gallade.

Excited for the egg thing coming up, hoping I can get some more Sneasel and Gligar candies.

For me I was out of town at my nephew's birthday party at some indoor water park. I didn't realize it was a community day until the very last hour so I didn't get much, two shiny Bagons though, so not a total loss, but not enough to get a final evolution made.

I sucked it up and went out, I got one shiny but he kinda really sucked. I had enough to level up into a full Salamance and then use extra to level him up a bit. He started out at 287 now he's at 1493, which kinda sucks tbh. He's ranked 63rd as far as the rest of my pokemon's cp goes. I just caught a Purugly that was stronger than him so I'm pretty underwhelmed.
 
Got 11 Bagon sat on my ass in a Starbucks (been doing it for the past... 6? or so community days and I've got 19 Treeckoe, 16 Swinub and thereabouts for others). Stopped on the way back to do a Giratina raid and caught a shiny Rattata afterwards, which was one of the shinies I was missing.
 
So uh, I appreciate the amount of Mareep, Flaffy, and buneary that I've seen, I was able to get a ampharos on Wednesday... but like there's like hardly any Easter themed pokemon and I'm over it already. Dis the Easter event need to be so long?

It’s only like a week. That’s typically how long these sorts of events go for.

The real event is the egg hatching bonuses. I got 69 candy from a single egg the other day

Pokémon GO fest is happening in Chicago this Thursday, June 13th through Sunday, June 16th. Has anyone been successful in getting tickets for it?

GO Fest will also be happening in Dortmund Germany July 4th - July 7th, are any European players hoping to go? My friend and I are hoping to go, hopefully we will bump into some non-European players who have the NA and Asian/Australian regional exclusives for trade, we have stocked up on the European ones just in case.

I'm not a fan of these photobombing events, but at least it helps with getting the Photo medal.
 
I do like that the Detective Pikachu dailies are more riddle-like. Even if they are obvious.
