Guys, I’ve been calling this Romhack FireRed Plus and Ive decided to put a poll out for a new name. Which sounds the best?

1) Pokémon: Piss Yellow Edition
2) Pokémon: Kiwi Peel Brown
3) Pokémon: BorschtRed

I’m currently struggling to disable a feature in FireRed where you can’t evolve non Gen I Kanto Dex Pokemon until you get the national dex. But so far I’ve implemented more characters from here.

There were so many things I wanted to do in this Romhack, but couldn’t. Maybe eventually I might port this to RPG Maker and maybe make a version that I envisioned.

UPDATE: So I’ve been looking around for a new 2D game engine to port to and I’ve narrowed it down to three, RPG Maker XP, Unity 2D, and Godot Engine. So it’s up to you guys on what engine that Pokémon BorschtRed should go to.

Honestly, I like the concept of having it just as a GBA rom because it can be played on anything. I loaded it onto my PSP Go. If you're gonna reprogram the game from the ground up, do you think you could do that as a GBA or SNES rom for portability's sake? Or even PSP or PS1, for that matter, since those emulate well now.

I'd not recommend trying to port it to anything. None of the other engines can get that Pokemon feeling down right and FR/LG are the best roms with the most support to hack.

Also you can't really 'port' it, you'd have to remake the entire game from scratch using the old one as a template.

This doesn’t mean the Romhack version is going to be taken down. It’s just that the reprogrammed version is going to be the “director’s cut” of Pokémon BorschtRed.

EDIT: planned features for the reprogrammed version of BorschtRed:

1) Minor storyline changes
2) Wild Pokemon encounter based on Pokemon Let’s Go.

So I’m currently working on the sprites for the Godot Engine one.

Also I’ve decided on adding a Battle Frontier style area called “KantoLand”. In the post game, you’ll get to do a tournament type competition known as the P-1 Championships.

Looks fun as fuck. Will download once I have access to my old labtop (soon).

Suggestion: In Pokemon Tower, you should put the usernames of people that deleted their account in the tombstones and have team rocket renamed as 'Glowing Fed Nig' or similar.

Also, put me in the game if it's not too much to ask. Have me say "Vlinny-kun is my husbando. He makes my heart go doki doki~" plz...
