To be fair, everything in the CFC games are strictly arcade versions, including alpha 3 upper, which was a game on the SEGA NAOMI arcade board.

As much as I hate current Capcom, I wouldn't fault them for that considering those games are more focused towards tournyfags that are looking to play old fighters on new systems online (even though they will wind up going back to FightCade anyways)
Sure, but still, it wouldn't kill them to also include that ROM. These collections should try to be as definitive as possible. It's the same problem I had with Ultra Street Fighter 2 and the last Street Fighter collection, they didn't include HD Remix. The best versions of these games are locked to old hardware with no/dead online.

I have a softmodded PSP-1001 that I barely play to be honest. When I was last traveling, it got more use playing music than playing games.

Ive said it before i will say it again

FFT : War of the Lions edition will never be topped as the best way to play the game.

Why? Because you get to kill that nigger Algus twice.

Recently got one, without a battery cause reasons, it wasn't a problem with the charger connected at all times but I just discovered that you have to have a battery to update to 6.60, lol
Somehow the previous owner managed an older version of pro update so I can still play thru the memory stick adapter without having to get a battery ASAP, for now
Also checked its Internet capabilities for the lulz, but sadly, there's not a lot to do with its default browser besides seeing the results in google, every page is just too advanced for this poor console

Lots of good mentions in this thread, so I'll add a few of my own:

The 3rd Birthday - rapes Parasite Eve lore, if you cared about that, but it's a great third-person shooter with nice graphics for the system.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge - not a big fan of racing games, but I liked this one. Good selection of vehicles and great sense of speed.

Ace Combat X - already mentioned IIRC, but still a great game that doesn't lose to its console counterparts, and in some ways is even superior to them.

I regret selling my PSP Go, had that thing filled to the brim with custom ROMs and a few store brought games - wipEout Pulse and Pure, GTA Liberty City Stories, Ridge Racer, Tekken 5/6 and The Sims 2. The POPS (Internal PSX emulator) was a nice bonus but the lack of R2/L2 buttons limited it to a few games.

Some favorites:

Metal Gear Acid 1&2
Final Fantasy Crisis Core & Tactics
Persona 3

What I'm playing on & off:

Brandish: Dark Revenant
Ys: Oath in Felghana
Ys 7

Things I downloaded but haven't tried much of/any yet:

Black Rock Shooter
Fate/Extra
Silent Hill Origins
Wild Arms XF
Gurumin
Kingdom of Paradise
Trails in the Sky
Summon Night 5
Shadow of Destiny
Tokobot
Tales of Eternia

It's surprisingly good. Too bad the sequel didn't click with me.
This Pink Triangle person has the same interests as me... I'm scared.

I hope you don't hate libtards then, because if so I'm afraid we're twins, because that's what I got mine for from a libtard.
Dang... I seem to have a twin. Do you also like farm Sims like Harvest Moon? I need to find something we disagree on so that I can claim my uniqueness.

It might be a little unusual pick because it's far from a system seller or a classic, but one of my favourite games on the system is Medal of Honor: Heroes. Its skirmish mode is perfect for short pick-up-and-play sessions, I've spent so much time playing it. A pretty good map and weapon variability, too. I still play it to this day.

The POPS (Internal PSX emulator) was a nice bonus but the lack of R2/L2 buttons limited it to a few games.
It's possible to map L2 and R2 to moving the stick left and right. Far from a great solution, but it's serviceable and it expands the list of playable games.

Got a 3000 on my 12th birthday and loved the crap out of it. When I got tired of gaming on it, I just used it as my main MP3/podcast player for a number of years. I miss it so much, man. I could get another one but it wouldn't be the same.

I had Shadow of Destiny (Shadow of Memories) and Silent Hill Origins, as well as Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon, which they ended up releasing for the PS2. I definitely miss mine! I also had Lunar on it.

Not been mentioned yet but I'd recommend

Outrun 2
Castlevania dracula x chronicles
Ridge racer 2

The psp's pretty decent for fighting games. There's a lot of them. The PSP version of Tekken 5 is my favourite iteration of Tekken. Especially with hacks that restores the ps2 soundtrack and textures. I don't know why they changed the music but the ps2 soundtrack is better.

What are some good underrated games that i could find?
There's already quite a lot of great recommendations in this thread, but if I were to add some I consider "lesser-known" to the list, then I'd pick:

WTF: Work Time Fun - A really zany minigame collection.

Ape Quest - Ape Escape (or rather, Ape Academy) spin-off. A simple but cute RPG which replaces combat encounters with minigames. The prologue was released as a free game, but the rest of the game was cut into 3 DLC chapters, so make sure you have them all if you want to play this game.

Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? - A very, very difficult action platformer starring the penguins from Disgaea.

Patchwork Heroes - An action/puzzle 2D game in which you control a party of troops who climb on huge airships and saw them apart. Cute artstyle, surprisingly addicting gameplay.

Archer Maclean's Mercury - A 3D physics-based puzzle game in which you control a liquid blob in various mazes.

Both Dissidia's are great. Loved tearing fools up as Golbez.

I can second Ace Combat X. Voice quality is a bit crunchy, but I liked the original planes and branching paths.

I liked Phantasy Star Portable 2, decent but grindy action RPG with an anime-as-hell plot and could get pretty grindy.
