^I think they were intended to. Most people unfamiliar with the series mistake them for cat ears anyway.

Also, this picture is really really really really weird. I don't know what's going on here, except that her hands look way too tiny for the rest of her body, which in turn looks way too tiny for her head. She looks like one of those 'The Dog' pictures that were super popular a few years ago, the pics of puppies taken with a fish-eye lens so the heads looked huge.

Pixy's head is unnaturally large to begin with (insert "obviously not for a big brain" joke here, I'm too tired to be witty right now) but you're totally right on this pic. What's going on? She looks like Tim Burton's Red Queen here.

I'm yet another short, square-bodied woman who is terrified of looking like PT. Mr. Horse knows her as "that woman I don't want to look like." He swears up and down that I don't, but the whole "face more angular than body, large ribcage, short torso, tiny hands" thing worries me to no end. I've been consuming more veg and going for more walks in an attempt to not walk the Pixy path. I don't want to fall into assuming I'm just better than her because I'm not her, though, you know?
It's always good to eat veggies!

I agree. I'm 5'1" and overweight (due to medications, but still) as well. Researching Pixyteri makes me want to exercise and eat more produce. I used to be so petite in high school/ early college! (:_(

I think you'll both be fine if you just shop in the women's section instead of the toddler section.

Pixy would not look the way she does if she wore appropriate clothes.

I don't even mean more grown-up clothes. I just mean clothes that fit. That would naturally take her out of the juniors section, I suspect. She also needs to heed the Japanese belief that the early twenties are basically the cut-off for wearing EGL. There's leeway for cosplay since it's a special event, but that's assuming you don't wear your cosplay outfits as regular clothes. I don't know if that's a hard and fast rule, but I have a few books on Japanese fashion (well, street fashion) that talk about acceptable age ranges for the certain trends and looks that are popular amongst young women and teenage girls.

I have seen a couple of pics of her where she was wearing stuff that was more grown-up and it seemed to fit and she actually looked nice. She doesn't have a 'cute' face, her features just don't allow for cute. That's fine, not everyone has cute faces. You can be strong or striking or elegant or handsome, there are lots of different types of attractive when it comes to faces. She'll never accept that, though. Her stank personality contributes considerably to her lack of attractiveness.

That Pixy she's one...handsome woman.

Nope it don't work, even in street clothes her face gives her away. I just hope she has a good personality.
