Unfortunately in a secular system. These behaviors are normalized under the devil's desires. And those growing up don't know. It doesn't help that east Asia is the least Abrahamic place in the world.

Finally tracked down the artist who made that awful disgusting foot fetish picture of Kiriha. I won't post it here (The amputee version has been reproduced 4 times on 4chan in 2016 and I hope they become deadlinks and lost media). Unfortunately the artists other works are as disgusting as this but I won't post them here because I feel whenever I post these awful things, it preserves them so let these things rot.

However, this is one of the few works from the artist I like and deserve from preservation such as this one. It has such nice detail. Shame he wasted his talent on fucking pornography. If he just ditched all attempts to make porn he would've had some amazing talented work. But then again the show and manga Tsugumomo is a harem.

Yep. In Japan. You can get away with all this stuff. I've seen explicit 80s style lolicon portraits on sale at a Mandarake Store in Tokyo in Japan (I really wish I was joking) and almost every store in Japan has a porn section. The porn shops itself look like something straight out of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Japanese tend to be very non-confrontational but also typically nobody gives a fuck what you do at home in your private time which is why shut-ins and weirdos often flourish.

Japan's laws against porn are weird because technically what's illegal is showing genitals. Porn is perfectly legal as long as the genitals are blurred out for the most part. I know there have been attempts to try and crack down on stuff like lolicon but I don't think any of that has gone anywhere so it's still kind of a grey area.

The "censoring" on their porn is laughable in most cases. You can get away with tiny black lines "covering" certain areas that don't really obstruct anything at all. What disturbs me the most is the high budget anime porn. There was a show going around a few years ago called Euphoria or something like that and it was a high budget hentai involving human toilets, killing and torturing high school girls then raping their dead body, just incredibly dark evil stuff. A bunch of japs who work at a studio all sat around and agreed to make this. It's not just some one-off weird sicko, making this vile stuff is a big group effort. And it gets sold in stores. I hope that country burns to the ground.

In theory you can get away with tiny black lines. In practice that depends on much you've pissed off some local prosecutor who connects your drawings to your IRL identity. There actually have been several hentai artists who've gotten arrested and IIRC even convicted for drawing rape and loli and shit because it wasn't properly censored. That's why there's so many variations in censoring since plenty of artists don't want to push the limit.

Do you not realize that this is the official Pixiv account of Hamada Yoshikazu, the actual author behind Tsugumomo? The dude draws porn of his own characters, and there is even an official R-18 book. He hosts live streams where he draws pornographic additions to his official manga, and Mangadex hosts chapters with these pornographic scenes added in (they mostly add in genitalia that was not drawn in the original versions and sexual scenes and are referred to as "lewd edits").

I thought Euphoria was a VN with a 2-episode tie-in OVA. In that case, it wouldn't necessarily be high-budget.

The budgets for more recent Hentai titles are noticeably smaller, compared to older titles. Bible Black, IIRC, was one example of an older title that had a much higher budget, given the more frames in the sex scenes.

Also, in regards to Hentai titles that get Region 1 DVD releases (allowing them to be sold outside of Japan uncensored, and it used to be common place in the 90s-2000s, but became way less common later on), how much profit (if any), do studios get out of that?

I have seen Cool Devices which is an older title notable for high budget values and honestly I don't really care for it that much. I just know Hentai is an collection of extremely demoralizing sex scenes which in many cases are really ugly and hentai often has the ugliest looking character designs especially nowadays.
