That's good to know. I get leery when control like that is taken away from me. How's the brightness? Bright enough for the desert after dawn and before dusk? If I'm not mistaken, it had an auto brightness feature. Do you find that it works well or did you disable it?

Auto-brightness works perfectly. It happens so fast you don't even notice the change to be honest.
 
Updated the list a little bit and added the new Vortex enclosed optics. I will be adding my experiences/review of the Primary Arms Classic 24mm, Steiner MPS, and Trijicon SRO sometime next month. Further down the line will be the Holosun 509 ACSS as I wanted to do a few USPSA competitions before I can finalize my thoughts. Other optics that I've barely started playing with are the Vortex Venom enclosed and Meprolight MPO PRO-S. More to come.
 
Well, the Aimpoint ACRO P-2 on my M1X just died. Not "the battery died," the optic is dead after a range trip earlier today. Won't turn on despite putting two different CR2032s in it. Optic didn't take any hits or drops today, which shouldn't matter in the first place because it's a $600+ optic and shouldn't be taking a shit for any reason short of getting a bomb dropped on it.

Guess I need to get a new G26 slide with a cut for an EPS and a port job. Thank fuck I still have two other guns I carry, plus the EPS I can yank off of one of them.

Hopefully, Magguts releases the +2 capacity kit for G19 magazines by the time I get that slide in.
 
This is kind of useful. There's a guy on /k/ who collects a lot of pistols and he posts new versions of this from time to time.

Late as fuck for a reply, but I've heard of a few reports where there were circuit failures on Acros. Hopefully they warranty it, but I agree that would make me reluctant on ever using them.

If you're still willing to deal with the Acro footprint, I have nothing but positive things to say about the Steiner MPS and they're releasing a smaller version that fits the same footprint this year. Best of luck with your optic issues.
